I wanted to try a Bloodborne/Dark Souls type version of myself, and try out a few new things. I think it came out fairly well :) It was a fun challenge to adapt the more brightly coloured signature elements, from my fursona's usual design, into thisnsetting.

This is a commission I took from a friend of a friend! I can see mistakes in it these days, but it's still one of the better and more refined, completed pieces I've made!

It's always extra fun when I get freereign on character tweaks on these XD I kinda imagined her as a kind of exo-colonist or some sort of high-orbit technician. Light emitting ears, for working in dark places, and amphibious gene-splice for best use of water based radiation shielding.

What suggestions do you all have for games to pick up from the ongoing Steam Summer Sale?

Spent a while earlier trying to see how close I could get to making something look like a traditional animation cel, so I picked an old illustration of mine to redraw. General idea is to see if I could make something fit within a modern digital animation workflow. I ended up using a program called Rebelle since it has a very advanced & realistic painting engine to perform the inking & flats using its acrylic brushes, and then did some post filtering in Krita (noise + chromatic aberration + VHS-style color bleeding)

The webcomic is called Red Star Castaway. It will take place in a distant solar system home to a civilization of anthropomorphic humans, who are slowly spreading out from their lush homeworld of Kiratu and settling other planets. This new frontier has become something akin to the Wild West of Earth, full of criminals, rangers, and bounty hunters.
The story revolves around humanity’s origins on Kiratu, the remains of an ancient alien civilization, and the misadventures of the crew of the spaceship Oracle.

Having a virtual pet fursona is fun! In a way, you get to take care of them by drawing them feeling happy. You also get to doodle them eating all sorts of food and wearing cute outfits!
