Hi I've made a full archive of Yuzu. That would include all their Github issues, the git repo on its last version, the latest available release binaries from the Github page, and all of their progress reports from the Yuzu website. The progress reports are good for understanding the general work and weaving a narrative in your mind about the trajectory of the Yuzu project, and the Github issues can outline resolved issues and outstanding ones.

I do not include any illicit materials in my archive. If you seek keys, roms, firmware, etc, you won't find it here.

While I'm happy to share this torrent for basically as long as possible, I do not have port forwarding available. So if anyone wishes to have these materials and possibly has a seedbox, please assist! Also this is like the first time I've ever created a torrent, but I'm pretty sure I did it right.

P.S. I am completely unrelated to Yuzu team members. I'm just a saddened user like everyone else.

We all know they went down

Instead if github mirrors we should make torrents. Torrents are faster and can survive more

Whilst listening to my podcast backlog, I heard about Yuzu and that Nintendo is going after them. So I tried to view the github code today and it was gone.

On Reddit I found a thread that mentions a mirror:

all repositories needed to build yuzu should be included in the org - most repos have retained their git histories (except those that I couldn't get my hands on - some are just file copies). the wiki also works, at least for yuzu-mirror/yuzu

feel free to fork it for yourself! :)

Wanted to share the link to the git mirror here as well: Yuzu mirror. For now it is still available.

~~There’s still time!!! Get Yuzu and Citra on Flathub now if you don’t already have it!!!~~

https://flathub.org/apps/org.citra_emu.citra

https://flathub.org/apps/org.yuzu_emu.yuzu

~~Just a note: Yuzu’s latest build is mainline-0-1734. The latest build of Yuzu on Flathub is mainline-0-1733.~~

~~Edit: Flathub has now been updated for the latest build of Yuzu --> mainline-0-1734~~

Also: Thanks to a commenter on another one of my posts for providing a link to a different post that consults preserving/forking Yuzu’s codebase.

link: https://lemmy.world/post/12733553

Edit#2: Yuzu and Citra have now been removed from the Flathub website, but are however still available via their flatpak commands:

flatpak install flathub org.yuzu_emu.yuzu

flatpak install flathub org.citra_emu.citra

For more context, A Flathub admin responded to someone on the Flathub Matrix channel saying that Yuzu and Citra won't be removed from Flathub completely until they "understand legal implications better"

Flahub Matrix channel: https://matrix.to/#/#flathub:matrix.org

Thank you to ObjectiveJellyfish36 for providing the image and information about the Flathub Admin's response.

As you all know or may not know,
Nintendo has taken down Yuzu,
see following post for more info on that:
https://lemmy.world/post/12728163

Now it's important to preserve the code base of Yuzu,
so hopefully someday, once things cooled down a little,
an active fork can stick it's head up.

After looking at the Azure DevOps Pipelines
of yuzu-emu/yuzu,
I noticed the latest pipeline ran 8 hours ago
as of writing this post:

Which tells us that the latest commit,
was a merge of PR #13198 from
zhaobot/tx-update-20240301020652

This fork,
is the most up-to-date one / contains the latest commit
done to Yuzu before the take down:
https://github.com/zhaobot/yuzu/tree/tx-update-20240301020652

I encourage you all to pull, star and fork this fork,
not only the master branch, but all branches!
The more copies floating out there,
the better the project will be preserved.

You can pull the code base to your local machine, with:

git clone https://github.com/zhaobot/yuzu.git

(Requires https://git-scm.com/)

And you can pull in all the branches,
as described in this Github Gist:
https://gist.github.com/grimzy/a1d3aae40412634df29cf86bb74a6f72

ICYMI, Yuzu settled with Nintendo for $2.4M and tl;dr said that Yuzu's primary purpose was to aid and abet piracy. Nintendo won outright.

I got my retroid 4 pro today. I want some 3ds ROMs, where do I get them?

139

Why are pos systems all nes machines? Wouldn't something like GB or gbc be better for a shit console made to be cheap?

I wanna get a low end emulator for my younger sis. All I nwwd is up to GBA, enough for some pokemon and Mario games, maybe Kirby too.

I'm fine with pre loaded ROMs and those shitty "(insert number) in one" type devices

Budget is as cheap as possible.

What can I get?
