How can we make undo work on the scratch buffer? I'm sure it is a simple configuration issue, but I'm not getting the appropriate keyword to find the relevant documentation.

After several years of using Emacs I learned about variable pitch mode; I was getting into reading ebooks in Emacs using calibredb and nov and I saw variable pitch mode is used. I then turned it on for a few Org mode files which aren't technical - no code, links or tables - and it looks great! I also added it to Elfeed entries.

Assuming this community is THE official (whatever that means) Emacs Lemmy community, how do we bring and serve more people?

Do we go around putting links to here? do we "duplicate" content from other place here so it has more content? do we wait until people get tired of reddit?

Can it daytrade?

Can it finance?

I decided to write-up some tips on how I've tweaked my Emacs for Ruby development after starting to write Ruby again for the first time in some time. I hope it's useful - feedback very welcome.

Hi Guys,

I was trying to make use of :clock-in property in org-capture-templates variable. I thought what it does is it clocks in the item after the capture.
But what it does for me is, it clocks in the item but immediately clocks it out, leaving a 0 minute clock entry. What is the intended use of the property?

From dired, preview different file types in a side window. The user can control the delay before previews appear, the maximum size of previewed files, and which file types should be excluded from preview.
