**Please point me to the correct sub if this is not the sub for my question.

I am trying to download this site but it does not work. I have tried a lot of site ripping software but none are able to rip the whole site.

Appreciate if anyone can guide how to rip the site. Thank you!

Hello.

I need to scrape all videos from webpage which have "non-single video file" videos on it.

Every video is bunch of hundreds little mp4's , so it is not possible to gather mp4 links and download it.

Internet download manager can download that type of video but only one per time and that page have hundreds of videos I want to download.

Any recommendations how to do this?

I have an iPod classic that died. One of the last models produced. Changing the battery wasn't enough to bring it to life, so I ordered a ZIF-USB reade to image the drive directly. Any ideas on how to do that, and where to go from there? I really just need to get the music off this hard drive.

hello ! i'm new to all this and i've previously ran jellyfin servers on old laptops, but now i'm looking to run a server off of a dedicated pc. i've decided on a mini pc such as the HP elitedesk, which leaves me just to figure out storage solutions.

id like my build to be upgradable in the future, though i won't need too much space to begin with, maybe a few TB. i'll be using this for 1080p movies & TV, enough storage to set and forget about for a few years but i'd like the ability to upgrade when my time and budget allows.

should i go for a portable external drive or something like this ? https://www.seagate.com/products/nas-drives/ironwolf-hard-drive/?sku=ST10000VN000&prodSrc=ironwolf-nas&use_case=general&gad_source=1 am i able to use a drive like this on it's own through a sata to USB cable without an expensive bay with multiple slots ?

any advice would be appreciated, especially on things like windows vs other OS or hardware capabilities of the mini pc i've chosen.

I’ll get straight to it. I’m a newbie.

Let’s say I have this file I have created in windows, moved it to an ntfs drive, then in an exfat drive to then an hfs+ drive… if I then take said file and do the same only backwards (hfs+, exfat, ntfs) … will it open the same way it did before or will some of its integrity be lost along the way?

I recently bought a mac a want to make sure that if i ever transfer back files that were originally created in an NTFS environment that they will open/look the same way they did before they were transferred to multiple formats along the way. (ie excel sheets)

I sure hope this all makes sense … at least a little :)

Thank you very much, From a scared newbie.

So, I’ve had a Synology NAS for a while now. It’s really powerful, but honestly, I’ve been struggling to fully get the hang of it. Setting up RAID properly, figuring out all the features, and just trying to keep things running smoothly—it feels like I need to be an IT expert to use it. I originally bought it to back up my files and store my photos, now I’m wondering if there’s something out there that’s more beginner-friendly. Anyone have suggestions for a simpler, more intuitive alternative?

(x-post from r/techsupport due to no response)

Hi, so I move around alot and use shared WiFi, my usecase is basically that I hate how big games have gotten and 4k video is so I want to have a 10tb SSD with Windows installed and then an HDD that mirrors and copies all the contents of the SSD. I'm not sure which type of RAID that would be, I think RAID 1, but also a con of doing this is I read that the speed will be limited to the slowest drive in the RAID system so that would defeat the purpose of getting an SSD if true. My library will basically be 4k movies and TV shows, ROMs of various emulators, FLAC music files, and a backup of my PC and Steam Deck.

I could also just get a NAS, the problem is that I move around a lot so my WiFi network will be different a lot, I was wondering if that would affect the NAS setup and if it's possible to shift the data to a different WiFi network. Also, I'm concerned about privacy and if someone could easily access/hack my NAS since I'll be shifting between different essentially public networks.

I'm hoping for a bit of advice from the kind folks here who've been so helpful with keeping content alive over the years. I've been collecting NOVA series for more than 6 months, and organizing them in the hopes that I can share one torrent, that I will update accordingly as new seasons air. I've been watching Nova since I was 5 or 6, and I fall asleep watching it every night, and I love the series so much.

Unfortunately I am stuck with a bit of a disaster trying to find out what information online is correct regarding which episodes aired during which season. The PBS website shows the airing date of every episode, but doesn't specify which season they were a part of. Wikipedia has every episode under every season, but it doesn't match The Movie Database, or any of the other metadata databases, and I've been told not to blindly trust Wikipedia either.

I want to make sure each folder has the correct episodes under the correct season before I share the torrent. I am also using Plex to watch these. The incorrect metadata online is causing all the episodes to display the incorrect name, so for example when I want to a specific episode, I find it on my Plex server, hit play, and it starts playing something else from another season.

Does anyone have any info on this series, or know which information online is correct so I can categorize the episodes accordingly? Also, there are many missing episodes, and I am going to dedicate as much time as possible to finding them by any means necessary and getting them added to the library. I know this is probably not the best sub to ask these questions, but I am hoping that someone here has had a similar experience with older shows and them not being organized correctly. Thanks

I have 13 Seagate Exos X22 hard drives on an LSI MegaRAID 9361-16i in RAID 6. They are on ports 0-11 and 13 (skipped 12 for a later addition and 14-15 are also empty). Ports 5, 6, & 7 keep dropping from the virtual disk. These same ports are showing as a "Backend SAS Address" as "0x0", while all other drives/ports are showing a full HEX address. I can only guess that this is related...?

I have replaced all the hardware from the controller to the drive and everything in between. The same PORTS continue to drop from the VD. The controller, cables, drives, backplanes (even tried without the backplanes, drives directly attached to the controller). Swapping the locations of the drives results in the same ports dropping, so I know it's not the drives. SeaTools also reports good drives.

I'm pulling out my hair. Any advise?

Specs:

ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7, 64G RAM, Core i9 9900, 2TB NVMe, Windows 10, 750Watt Corsair PSU

Mellanox 2x 25Gb SFP+ NIC in x16 PCIe slot 1 (running at x8)

x1 PCIe slot 2 empty

x1 PCIe slot 3 empty (have also tried running an expander in this slot with same issue)

LSI (Avago) MegaRAID SAS 9361-16i - x16 PCIe slot 4 (running at x8)

x1 PCIe slot 5 empty

x4 PCIe slot 6 empty

I have a huge collection of 4K Blu-Ray movies and would like to store it in the cloud.

My only requirements are that it doesn't go down in like the next couple years.

I don't care if it is shared / public as my only goal is for it to be accessible to me in case I want it so I can download it from there.

Since these files are static, they'll pretty much not be changed like ever. Only upload new stuff, download which is already online and delete from there and that's about it.

There's buzzheavier.com but it has to be downloaded every 45 days.

So basically a similar service without that restriction. This one's free so I don't mind paying some amount for it.

I’m looking for a 3D-printable STL file for an adapter that converts the two 5.25-inch bays in my Silverstone RM23-502-Mini into three 3.5-inch bays.

Does anyone have a design they’ve made or found one that works well? Thanks in advance! !

Complete beginner here, and just dipping my toes in the wonderful world of ripping old media.

I’m currently ripping my (and my parent’s) old CDs, and yesterday the optical drive broke due to a mechanical problem. So I’m looking for a new one, and then I thought: I also have a bunch of DVDs and blu-rays laying around and maybe I can rip those too.

But then I started my research and kinda got overwhelmed by the amount of information: internal/external drive, different file types, jailbreaking the drive, flashing the drive, makeMKV, Handbreak, etc. I’m scared of buying an expensive drive and then finding out I bought or did something wrong.

What I want is nothing fancy. I don’t need lossless FLAC music or the best possible video quality. I’m satisfied with medium quality mp3s and 1080p or 2160p movies. Can every blu-ray reader even read CDs? Should I even invest in a blu-ray reader or just go with a simple cd-dvd reader, and just download the blu-ray movies that I own through other means?

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a Western Digital Portable HDD to use as backup drive and leave it in a safe place (won't be carrying it with me).

For this case scenario, I'm wondering if it's ok to buy their cheapest drives (WD Elements) or if their more expensive ones (MyPassport, MyPassport Ultra) offer any advantage in terms of durability.

Thanks!

Hi.

As the title says, I want to recover data from a rooted and hard reset Android phone.

At the time of hardresset the phone had 95% free storage...as such I don't think the data would have been overwritten....

I have tried using drphonelab and Ultdata and datadrill but so far they have not been able to recover the data I am trying to recover....photos, videos etc....

Can someone please sugget how should I go about this?

I tried to search on eBay and there's lots of Dell parts but none in usable form. ie drive backplane with no frame to hold the drives in place or a nonstandard board that doesn't fit in common PC cases.

I want to build a quick NAS server, It won't be in any form of RAID or JBOD, just a bunch of individual drives.

Is there a computer case name I need to search by or a common part name that is a fully ready to use backplate and frame. Also drop name if there's a site better than eBay for used computer part.

Also on a few eBay listing for IBM backplane, I've seen has a connector that seems to be about the size of a stick of gum and has like 100 pins and 2 huge metal pins. My SAS connector sheet doesn't have that one listed.

Hi! I want to digitise my 250 DVDS and 35 Blu Rays onto a hard drive for immediate watching from any device, so I can declutter all of my physical DVDS for extra room storage ! Does anyone know what size hdd I would need for this?

Alternatively, would you recommend using plex instead? I have so many questions about this method- How much would I need to pay for a plex server / how long would it last. Is it a rolling payment? Is there risk of losing all my dvds? Because once I donate them, I will no longer have access to them so I need the copies to be permanent, which is why I thought a HDD would be best? I am confused haha! Thanks guys!

Don't know if this is relevant here, but the a-cho arcade in Kyoto, Japan is to become another arcade casualty in Japan, scheduled to close at the end of this month. Today, they announced the deletion of both of their YouTube channels scheduled at the end of February. These channels contain several thousands of high level match videos that has helped and still continues to help numerous fighting game communities to learn and research about their own game. What should serve as a memorial for fighting games everywhere will unfortunately be lost media. They're giving us about 2 months to save what we want to save before everything is gone.

Hello,

I have looked though multiple subreddits and have found that the best case for my needs is likely something like the supermicro CSE-846. (24 bay 3.5 hot swappable) However everywhere I look this case is $900+ USD. I look to the 20 bay silverstone (RM43-320) and its $900.

I have found a bunch of knock off CSE-846 on Alibaba 24 Bay example for half the price shipped.

Everything I read on reddit is to say away from the no names, so I keep looking, but Im not finding anything that is near 24 bay that is sub $500. I am currently using 14 3.5 slots in a 15 slot non-rackmount and I want to move to my rack with something with 24 bays or around there.

Is there any suggestions out there or do I need to bite the bullet and spend $1000 on a barebones case...
