I'm trying to download a childhood tv series from zplayer.io. All the other dubbed versions of it got deleted due to copyright. This is the only one remaining. Problem is it's not letting me. I've already tried VideoDownloadHelper and Net Tools. I think its because it's like a page that stores the file of the video. Not really into tech, so pasting the link into a normal video downloader doesn't work. Would really appreciate the help. I grew up with this dub version and it'd mean a lot.

I want to undo the over provisioning the SSD is 512GB but only coming up as 400GB. I have tried all different methods even rewriting everything with 0s using DD. I'm not sure what I need to do to undo the overprovisioning. Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks in advanced if you take the time to help me I really appreciate it.

I placed an order for a couple of HDDs directly from Seagate about 10 days ago. My order still shows that it has not even shipped yet. So, I get on their support chat, and they tell me "we are experiencing an internal issue and are not able to ship orders at this time." They offer no further explanation, and they can't give me any estimate for when it will be resolved - they can't even tell me if it will be a matter of days or weeks. They never sent me a notification that my order is delayed. Now it seems like none of their products are available from their website. What could cause a major business like Seagate to suddenly shut down direct sales without notice like that. I guess I'll have to cancel my order, which is too bad - it was a really good deal they had - too good, I guess ...

I've been dabbling in torrents for almost a year now. My dad had stopped downloading "legally sourced content" probably 10 years ago because of suspicion from our ISP, and before VPNs were so popular and a dime a dozen.

Finding a certain show on torrent indexers was certainly... a challenge sometimes! Many shows that I wanted in their entirety had dead torrents with no seeders for random seasons and episodes; it was nearly impossible to find old/niche shows that I wanted because I didn't have access to any private indexers.

Our current ISP is not great either. We're paying way too much for not nearly enough. 40 mbps upload speed is plenty for everyday use, but that speed + VPN = slow seeding that takes up all of our upload bandwidth. I can't get enough ratio from seeding content to actually qualify for private indexers, so I've resorted exclusively to leeching, hence the low success rate in finding shows on public indexers.

However... I recently invested my time and some money... into getting usenet set up.

The game has changed. Finding shows is easy (with sonarr). Seasons are plentiful. I can find almost anything I want, provided it had any amount of popularity at all. Shows downloaded to completion. My hoard, satisfied, thriving, never more fulfilled.

Usenet is wonderful.

And my NAS is in danger.

This card features a PCIe x1 interface, which makes it perfect for those who that has a motherboard with PCIe 4.0 x1 slots like the Gigabyte Aorus X570 Master. Uses the AQC113 chip from Marvell Aquantia, can negotiate from 10G all the way down to 10M.

Hey all, just looking for some advice here, I am not sure how exactly to evaluate the equipment I have on hand to determine my best path forward. My needs are very simple, just looking to serve up music/movies to devices on my local network, host my small PostgreSQL database locally (few dozen tables, <100k rows), and to make my research data (images, PDFs, Excel workbooks) accessible from the internet while I am traveling.

Old PC specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra (PCIe x16 (x3), M.2 (x3))

CPU: AMD 3800X

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR4 RAM

GPU: RTX 3060 12GB

SSDs: Samsung 980 Pro M.2 (x2), ADATA SX8100NP

HDDs: Seagate Exos X22 14TB (x2)

Old server specs (bare bones HP Proliant DL360p):

PCI x16 (x2), PCI x8 (x1)

CPU: Xeon E5 2603 v2 (x1)

RAM: none (24 slots available)

HDD/SSD: none

Network controller: HP 1Gb 4-port adapter

I have had some issues with the X570 board in terms of the M.2 slot that carries my boot drive (980 Pro) and I found some old forum post regarding this board and that specific drive which causes booting issues. I get a bluescreen in Windows about once a month due to this, so I was thinking of dropping some cash on upgrading the motherboard to better suit the repurposing (suggestions welcome). Or if the advice from you all is to flesh out the rest of my DL360p, the cash can go into getting RAM for the server and I'll move my drives over into that.

My biggest questions are regarding the software stack, use of the SSDs, and network controllers. I was thinking of using UNRAID, but I really have no experience with any of the NAS-type OSes, so I am open to anything, but something on the simpler side is preferred as my needs are not that complex. The Exos drives would be mirrored, as 14TB is currently enough storage for my needs, and I'll double up on that mirror when storage needs increase. With the SSDs, what sort of configuration for boot drive and cache drive do you all suggest? Network controllers -- do I need a 10Gb controller? I currently have a 1Gb fiber connection and that will likely be the fastest available to me in my area for quite some time.

Thanks all for any help, and I'm happy to provide more info as needed.

I was given a Thecus N8900V from a friend who got it from work (they upgraded and got rid of it). Is it worth running? My only experience is with synology products, which I have two. I can either use this as a third NAS, or pull out the 6 1gb drives and use them as cold storage. Thoughts?

Hello all!, I'm having a bit of a problem. I bought 10TB hard drives, small in comparison to some pros here but I haven't been at this for long and I like to be efficient and compact. I've been working on the first drive for a while and was putting off making a backup. Now I'm ready, but it seems harder than I thought it would. I used AOMEI to "clone" the drive, and now the drive I cloned TO is not working I think I already know how to fix it, and I do have spares. But is there a better way to do this? My computer basically randomly stops in the middle if I try to copy/paste 9 TB in one go, and AOMEI worked with smaller drives before so I don't know if maybe it was just a one off mistake. Is there a better way? Or a better software? Thank you all.

Given the current situation on YouTube (flagged IPs, no bulk downloads) and because I need to free up some space, I want to share my YouTube archive before deleting it.

All videos have been downloaded in full quality over the last 3 years or so. Many of them are 4K.

Basically there are four categories: music, cars, IT and random stuff.

Completely free - I would just ask for an SFTP server or something similar to upload to.

Here is a downloadable list of all archived channels including their content:

Hi, do you know of any blu-ray writing services where I can upload the data and they can burn it to MDisk and mail it to me or I can pick it up?

Something like Walmart or Office Depot or Shutterstock for disks?

I know I'll probably be judged for the amount and it might be excessive but I have the storage space for it and don't want to potentially lose any of the videos in my likes. I've ran this a couple times over the last couple of days and it will not go past 5K for some reason. Is there any work around to be able to download all my liked tiktoks?

Hello

I recently bought a second-hand interactive projector system. This system comes with a sbc, AR camera and a projector bundled. This is not a very common setup, and the companies makes these sorts of products comes and goes daily. So, when I tried to find and reach the manufacturer, I had no luck. There is no trace of the app on the internet either.

So, what I decided to do is to move this interactive game app from one pc to another more recent and powerful SBC. Can anyone recommend me a tool to migrate an app from one pc to another with all related registry entries and such. I know this sound shady as hell, but it causes me a lot of headaches when I run this projector system it takes ages to load, sounds start to play after 30 minutes or so and when I try to navigate in the windows even a simple right click takes about 5 minutes to take effect. They installed Windows 7 to such weak hardware and that is basically bringing the freaking system to crawl. This would also allow me to be able to reinstall this software anytime I had a problem with the system. So, I would appreciate any sort of help.

TLDR: I need to migrate a software from one windows system to another with all the registry entries and such in a working state.

Thank you.

Hii!

I need to transfer a massive amount of data from about 200+ DVDs to a bare metal server placed in a datacenter somewhere that’s running on high-speed NVMe disks. The server is running on Ubuntu LTS. I plan to mount the DVDs and use rsync to copy the data to the server disks.

What kind of hardware should I order to make this easier? I dont have much hardware knowledge and the last time I played with DVDs was playin GTA on a laptop that had DVD drive built-in.

I’m thinking about a solution that doesn’t involve me spending the next month loading DVDs one by one if this exists. Otherwise , any other reliable external hardware that would solve the purpose.

Also, any tips or things I should keep in mind to ensure the data transfer goes smoothly and without any loss of data.

Thanks!

I have a 8TB ext WD drive tha out is starting to make a noise that is making me think it could fail. Anyone know of any good HDD deals going on now? It is going to replace an external USB, but an internal is fine as well. TIA

Original Title: Whats the best PCIe 4x adapter that I can use to connect (2) external HDD to my Server without USB (prefer something else like eSATA or something else). Is there a LSI SAS HBA card that does this? or another reputable brand?

Unless everyone says USB would be fine :)

Thanks!

For instance, there's a file named "IMG_4397" somewhere in the nested folders in my NAS over SMB , I want to quickly find it and edit it in MacOS. How should I do it? (On Windows I use a tool called "Everything" which takes <0.1s, but on Mac I don't know)

im still thinking between buying External 22TB or a Internal 22TB

for a internal was thinking Seagate Exos X22 3.5" 22TB SATA and fond out about Hard Drive Enclosure witch would be a External but with a "Internal" disk instead

so im looking for some cheap but releable one for the internal disk

I’ve backed up 7,000+ files (40+ gb) by manually importing every YYYYMM__ format folder to my SSD from the Internal Storage accessible when my iPhone is connected to W10.

My phone’s Photos gallery is saying there’s approximately 5,000 media files, but I know lots of my transferred files are duplicates (i.e. live photos as mov and jpg/heic, or the xml formatted markup images).

Is it everything in my photos gallery? Is it everything (image-wise) in my text conversations as well? I’m not finding much info about this online.

Like, if I completely cleared my phone’s gallery, everything would be in there? I know some of my shit is automatically stored in iCloud too, but I don’t know which images.
