Vehicles

Added 4 new vehicles, including several Side Jobs tied to acquiring them:

  • Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru

Reward from a new side job (to unlock, complete The Hunt and The Beast In Me).

An additional side job unlocks the CrystalCoat™ feature for it.

  • Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred"

Reward from a new side job (to unlock, complete The Beast in Me: Badlands, The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo, Transmission, and Search and Destroy).

  • Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa

Reward from a new side job (to unlock, purchase 1 Yaiba vehicle, purchase at least 3 vehicles through AUTOFIXER, and complete Reported Crime: You Play with Fire...).

If you fail the side job, the vehicle can later be purchased through AUTOFIXER.

  • Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila

Available for purchase on AUTOFIXER.

  • Introducing AutoDrive! This cutting-edge, autonomous driving feature will take you to your chosen destination (i.e. job objective or placed pin on the map). If you have no set destination, it will take you on a leisurely ride through the streets of Night City. Simply hop in any of your vehicles, make sure you're on a road, and hold H (PC) / Left Stick (consoles) to activate. This feature is disabled when you enter combat or when your vehicle is heavily damaged.
  • Implemented Cinematic Camera for AutoDrive. Hold Q (PC) / D-Pad Right (consoles) to activate. Sit back and enjoy cinematic views of Night City as you cruise toward your destination.
  • Self-driving Delamain cabs are now available on demand! Simply open the menu to call vehicles, then select "Delamain Cab" from the list to request a ride. This feature unlocks after completing the job Don't Lose Your Mind (regardless of outcome) and receiving a message from Delamain.
  • Rayfield's CrystalCoat™ is now available for vehicles from partner brands, including motorcycles. Additionally, the infamous hacker known as Cosmetic_Troll exploited a vulnerability and created a cracked version of Rayfield's CrystalCoat™ technology for lower-end vehicles. Please note, however, that some models do not support the technology, such as heavily modded nomad vehicles and job-related vehicles.
  • Fixed an issue where unique color schemes did not work properly on the Mizutani Shion MZ1 and MZ2.
  • Fixed an issue where unique color scheme could not be applied properly to the Villefort Deleon "Vindicator".

Photo Mode

  • Added 27 new NPCs that can be spawned in Photo Mode, including Rita Wheeler, the Cassel twins, fixers, Dum Dum, the iguana, Brendan, and more.

  • You can now switch between alternative outfits for NPCs spawned in Photo Mode.

  • You can now switch between V's saved Wardrobe outfits in Photo Mode.

  • Added a confirmation pop-up when exiting Photo Mode to prevent accidental exits after setting up the perfect shot.

  • Added more customization options to the Look-At Camera feature, including an option for only the character's eyes to turn toward the camera instead of their entire body.

  • Added multiple new stickers and frames, including iconic quotes and stylish overlays that let you turn your screenshots into Night City postcards – perfect for sharing memories from the City of Dreams.

  • Improved Depth of Field and moved it to the Camera tab.

  • Added a new Color Balance tab, allowing you to create your own custom filters.

  • Weather: includes rain, acid rain, fog, sandstorm, pollution, and sunny.

  • Time of Day: changes the time of day within Photo Mode.

  • Frame Forward: advances through an unlimited number of frames to capture the perfect shot.

  • Game Speed: allows in-game time to progress while in Photo Mode.

Quality of Life & Accessibility

  • The game will now detect if the player is using inverted mouse button settings and automatically adjusts in-game button prompts accordingly.
  • Added an option to toggle aiming down sights in Settings → Controls.

Jobs & Open World

  • Cyberpsycho Sighting: Bloody Ritual - the "Crack the ritualist's shard" objective now properly disappears from the Journal after completing the objective.
  • Sex on Wheels - now properly appears in the Journal after receiving the message from Jake Estevez.
  • Shot by Both Sides - fixed an issue where selecting a specific dialogue option in the conversation with Bree created a nameless, iconless item in the player's Inventory.
  • Shot by Both Sides - fixed an issue where the button to go to the lower level didn't appear on the elevator panel.

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where, when using a controller in Trauma Drama, the controllable character would default to shooting upwards instead of forward.
  • Players can now drop more Cyberware Capacity Shards if some within the intended drop limit were previously missed.
  • Fixed an issue causing automatic weapons to fire slower than intended.
  • Fixed an issue where the Official BARGHEST Tac Vest didn't drop from the scripted Airdrop as intended.
  • The level 60 Engineer perk no longer activates the EMP blast outside of combat or after entering a vehicle.
  • Added an option to replay the gameplay tutorial at any time via Settings → Controls.

Miscellaneous

  • Added an option to tell Johnny to go away after you look at him for a short while when he appears in the passenger seat. He takes the hint and disappears as a passenger for a couple days.
  • Fixed an issue where the sound of V's Radioport could be randomly interrupted by the Radioports of nearby NPCs.
  • Fixed an issue where History by Gazelle Twin and Trash Generation played too loudly compared to other songs on the radio.
  • Improved the HDR Setting screen: fixed the HDR calibration preview so it correctly reflects the chosen settings, and clarified the description of the "Tone-Mapping Midpoint" setting.
  • Updated the End User Licence Agreement. You will be asked to accept it again when you load the game after updating.
  • Fixed several visual issues with missing, clipping, or floating textures.
  • Fixed several localization issues in various languages.

PC-specific

  • Added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 for compatible AMD GPUs. IMPORTANT: The FSR 4 option will not be available in the in-game settings until the supporting AMD driver is installed. Please note that the driver will be released at a later date.

  • Added support for Intel XeSS 2.0, with XeSS Frame Generation available on compatible hardware.

  • Fixed an issue where the DLSS Super Resolution Preset would invisibly revert from the CNN model to the Transformer model after restarting the game, even though the UI still displayed the CNN model as active.
  • Added more detailed information to the DLSS Super Resolution Preset tooltip in Settings to help players choose the best option for their setup.
  • Added the ability to move the mouse cursor to a different display while in Windowed Borderless mode.

Just wondering what 2020ish or later cyberpunk books/authors you've read and would recommend. Every list I find is either the same handful of admittedly quintessential 1970/80s stuff (Gibson, Stephenson, Dick, etc), mega compilations that aren't deliniated by year/quality (and haven't been updated in years), or wildly irrelevant bot slop.

Human authors only... nothing AI/LLM-generated, please.

TL;DR:

  • Directed by Kai Ikarashi (responsible for episode 6 of season one)
  • Standalone story
  • 10 episodes
  • “A raw chronicle of redemption and revenge”
  • “I wasn’t satisfied with the sadness… so I want you to be even more sad now.” - Bartosz Sztybor (writer/producer of both seasons)
  • Key art

What are y'all running for mods these days?

I didn't know they didn't affect achievements, so I'm just getting into them now after my first ending (I restarted a lot).

So far I have:

  • some body mods
  • Lizzie's Braindances/Dark Future/Street Vendors to work together for immersion.
  • Also, Night City Alive for immersion, but it doesn't really interact with the ones above.
  • I forgot the name but it replaces River with Rhino, including a mostly-passable AI voice change.

Any other suggestions? I think I could use a combat mod, something that spices things up a bit and adds challenge. I might try Amateur Hackers and AI Netrunners Enhanced, so something that blends well with that would be preem.

Long story short, "CHOOH₂" is probably esters of oxalic acid (C₂H₂O₄ a.k.a "CHOO CHOO") as additive to biogasoline derived from GMO crops.

Fortunately, even though the "red tanks go boom when you shoot or quickhack them" chemistry is scary-accurate...

Could Such a Hazardous Fuel System Be Adopted in Reality?

Unlikely at scale in democratic nations due to:

  1. Continued oil abundance from fracking, oil sands, and conventional reserves.
  2. Rapid cost declines and deployment of renewables (solar, wind, nuclear).
  3. Strong regulatory frameworks (OSHA, EPA) and legal challenges. (Possibly moot in the US, but there's hope I suppose.)
  4. Public and corporate pressure for safer, cleaner energy. (When the enemy is only chasing money, you can probably get them to back anything if it sells their product to you. That said, fuck Big Data Is Watching You.)

a) Possible in authoritarian or resource-constrained regimes where safety is sacrificed for cheap energy or autarky. b) Niche or military uses might tolerate riskier fuels for strategic reasons.

Final Thoughts

While CHOOH₂’s explosive volatility and dystopian neglect make for compelling fiction, the real world’s energy landscape—with abundant oil, advancing renewables, and regulatory safeguards—makes widespread adoption of such dangerous biofuels highly improbable. Vigilance, policy resilience, and community action remain key to ensuring safe, sustainable energy futures.

So basically, CHOOH₂ is real and refers to one of the fuel additives, not the fuel itself (which is biogasoline or similar). Fortunately for everyone, nobody wants to own a cyberbugatti if it actually explodes if you shoot the gas tank and most countries aren't beholden to that monster in the oval office, Russia's famous hate machine, or the CCP.

Just keep pushing for renewables and mass transit, or impeachment if you're in the US and he's still somehow in power now that he's violated a direct court order from the SCOTUS and been found in contempt of court.

Anyway, I just thought this was an interesting one to share. Politics don't have a place here, I'm guessing, so try to keep the discussion to chemistry and the implications it could have for a society that actually went the route that the Cyberpunk timeline did.

EDIT: Can anybody ask around reddit? They keep banning me.

Second Heart should have 300 - 200 seconds ( 5 - 3.3 minutes ) timeout. But for me it is 35 MINUTES, does anybody know why?

Tier 4:

Tier 5++:

Additional Info:

One of the images contains cooldown for Self-Ice. That one is actually seconds and work as it intended.

I saw it's 60% off on steam rn and was thinking about pulling the trigger finally lol

Ok this one blew me away, its another little no parkour required area and this time with multiple fairly obvious yet inconspicuous entrances, beyond being pretty this one has some pretty strong cut-gig vibes.

One entrance hidden behind a Trauma team AV, I later found prettier entrances but I'm not booting up the game with all my mods again. Its pretty winding down there but you can find a small un-marked scav event as article of evidence #1.

Star of the show is this pit, equidistant from pretty much all entrances and with a clearly deliberate parkour path all the way down.

Its a looooong way down, there's also a dead guy with a lore shard down here and a weird red fan that I all the garbage slopes into like it was meant to be some kind of entrance.

This elevator has no useable floors but otherwise appears to be completely functional, even the doors work.

Map location of one entrance for convenience.

So I stumbled upon another cool little spot that's totally easy to overlook despite all of us having certainly passed it dozens of time. its another great example of verticality with a little village of shops and homes tucked into the shadowy spaces between buildings, it even has a little scene with a lore shard if you explore all the way to the bottom.

From above we can see just how far the rabbit hole goes, with the deepest part being accessable by ladders just under the pipes on the left.

It's dystopian as hell but damn this place has a vibe, wish V could have an apartment here.

Looking up from the lowest inhabited section the sky is barely visible under all that concrete and steel.

Just a map location:

So I am playing with the Hardcore 22 V2 mod which makes enemies a lot more deadly but removes the egregious spongyness of very hard mode in exchange.

This gun just has it all, quick fire shotgun blasts for cqb, long range still fairly quick lovetaps to the head for when a ton of enemies are rushing you at once and of course a charged mode to punch through walls, just beautiful with stalker optics (I also banned myself from using the middle click highlight because its OP as hell)
