Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias’ office is investigating whether other Illinois police departments are breaking a state law that bars them from sharing data with outside agencies tracking people for their immigration status or for seeking an abortion.

Following 404 Media’s reporting and in light of new legislation, automatic license plate reader (ALPR) company Flock has stopped agencies reaching into cameras in California, Illinois, and Virginia.

Nice little place with ~ 8 tables and a basic menu of hotdogs, tamales, chips, guacamole,etc. Usually every table has umbrellas but a few blew away in that crazy storm a couple weeks ago. Shari, the nice owner, is working on replacing them. AFAIK, this is about as close to the water you can get with a table and some beach grub.
