Gathering a few comrades this afternoon to carve pumpkins, and starting tomorrow going thru the end of the week, I'm running sessions for my band to record a bunch of songs for a few different releases. Gonna do 2x guitar and bass tracking while the drummer is on tour with another project, then they'll do drums and noise/synth when they're back. Tons of new gear to play with including an Echoplex preamp, and this week I'm hopefully snagging a 150w Randy Rhodes modded plexi clone to go with a new 4x12 someone is wiring up.

Those were something, weren't they? I thought it was the coolest thing ever as a kid, just the absolute peak of technology.

And in hindsight... Yeah, it was a pretty comfortable way to play videos and music, wasn't it? And the click wheel iPods even had a surprisingly decent selection of games.

While I'm here, whatever happened to those Kindle e-readers with the physical page turn buttons and keyboard? I kinda feel like they stopped selling those, but I feel like that was kind of preferable to a touch screen, too.

I guess just in general I don't like touch screens and it'll be a good day when they stop being integrated into things that don't actually need them. I'm out here thinking that flip phones beat smartphones still

I've never felt a need to act masculine, some situations kinda require it but for me personally I've never cared. Over the last few years I've realized i really do prefer comrade/they/them. While I've never introduced my self with other pronouns I have started to check off "other" on forms that ask gender. I'm of the opinion gender itself bullshit concept. However bullshit or not it obviously has a very real impact in society. I've never once worried about SV or really any violence, I've never been told "this isn't a mans job," I've not received unwanted attention from people trying to get into my pants ect. At this point I've left the he/him pronouns on my name basically as disclosure, all my comments are made from a "privileged" point of view.

Not exactly sure what I'm trying to say. Maybe that I would feel dishonest not informing people? I don't mind people referring to me as male so maybe I'm pushing into a space I don't belong? Idk I've been thinking about this for days and still feel weird/confused.

I left the country on suprise work orders 2 weeks in and smothered the connection I had with my friend turned partner in the crib.

Took three months of further anguish and very limited contact to rip the bandaid off.

After my mom died this lady swore up and down that she would always be there for me, to help me, so I took her up on her word and asked her for help, NUMEROUS times now, and each time she said no and had an excuse.

It got to the point where I was so fed up with her and her two-facedness that I stopped using facebook and unfriended her thinking maybe she'd get the hint, but no she didn't, the last time I saw her in public she acted like nothing had happened and she was like "sooooooo happy" to see me! :)

So I tried one more time today to see if maybe things had changed with her and, what do you know, she said no, again.

I started on the process of permanently deleting my facebook. It takes 30 days so long as I don't log back in. I'm also never speaking to her again whenever I see her.

Manipulative toxic fucker, fuck her.

Back on my bullshit, quitting, again. This time I called my 1-800 quit line and ordered the patch to help. But it's so ass backwards their shipping is 7-14 days usps. So with that logic by the time I get the patch the cravings will have stopped since they normally subside by day 4 or 5, fucking stupid.

So last week I broke my wrist. I naively thought work would cover my wages because I am full-time, have full benefits, and work for a fortune whatever company. It's a fucking grocery store.

Turns out I have to submit a form to get paid. No one told me this, so I did not get paid today. I was going to be late on rent because I don't make enough, but now I don't think I can make rent at all. I'm so close to just getting in contact with some travelers I know and checking out. I gave it a go right? But I don't want to. I want to live a quiet life with a little apartment, no kids. Just let me have a studio and a fulfilling job.

I take a lot of pride in my work. It's simple. I'm a produce clerk. But I work for a big company, and they do as they do. Nothing is good enough. Nothing we do is good enough. So my pride is gone. I come in, work, go home. I do not care. I wanted to be management. No way in hell.

I'm exhausted, comrades. I don't know what to do.

The HR thing I posted about never went away and I got fired today. Already applied for unemployment so at least I'll now get paid while I search for another shitty job and I won't be spending $300 a month on gas just to get to work.

It's kind of a relief in a way. This job was a major source of stress for me and it's not like I'm the only person they've fired recently. They've been letting people go left and right, getting rid of long-time veterans to cut down on wage costs I suppose, so I'll just take the L, chill the rest of the day, and try to get some things done around the house.

I'm looking for specific and non obvious answers. Give me something visceral, rid the world of a figure or nation you hate. Preserve a culture you adore. It doesn't have to make sense either, you are basically god here.

I think the left in America isn't focused enough on legislation that would almost certainly be challenged by SCOTUS which, in their decision, would open up an even bigger can of worms to overturn than to just keep in place.

I think the goal of this should not be to try and force a decision to uphold but rather to force them to swallow the poison pill and further harm the fascist project in the USA. Literally goad them into an overturning of whatever law you passed that requires such an opinion as to have broad sweeping repercussions. I don't have any ideas because I haven't thought much on it. However, I think there is some opportunity in this idea and enough people ruminating around it has potential.

It seems to me the rightwing kind of already engages in this. So why not the left? Isn't eroding the legal constructs of the capitalist state in our best interests?
