I was just learning about the Elantra N’s grin shift button that temporarily gives you some more boost and horsepower and I’m not gonna lie, I love gimmicky stuff like that. Then I remembered I (think?) the fiesta or focus st had something like that, someone can tell me if I’m wrong. And I’ve heard the GTI club sport as well. Does anyone else know of cars that come from the factory with a fun lil gimmick like that? Preferably ones in that “affordable fun car” tier so I can obsess over them and think about getting one even tho I probably never will lol. I’m normal I promise

Edit: even better if it’s a button that you have to flip up a cover first to be able to press it 😆

I know Ferrari had problems in the 90s with the leather shrinking and pulling up the whole dashboard (ie the opposite of an adhesive failure). I'm specifically talking about 2015+ cars with real leather dashboards having adhesive failures. My 2005 Cayenne Turbo, 2007 911 4S, 2011 Jag XJ have no issues with full leather. My friends cars of similar vintage with full leather interiors have no problems with any delamination. However I am seeing all over the place problems with newer Cayenne's, X5s, AMG GTs, Astons etc that are 'it's not if, it's when' thing happening with the leather dashes. Was some high VOC glue that worked outlawed in the past decade? What is the deal? I love leather dashes but there seem to be SO many having problems now that I am reconsidering getting them on a modern vehicle.

Saw a 2010ish Cadillac DTS pulling a decent sized trailer earlier today. That model came with a V8 but the rear-end was sitting on its bumpstops. It was a thing to behold.

Looks pretty good. Personally I wouldn't mind if they added simulated shifts/exhaust to make it have a semblance of a "soul". It's optional after all and can be disabled, and everyone who has use the Ioniq 5/6's has agreed that it's pretty convincing & fun overall.

Mark and Jack go back a bit to take a look at the M4CSL now that they've depreciated a bit. Even at that price I think I'd choose anything else, but it is still cool to see an OEM go to 11 from the factory.
