This is intentionally open ended, use your own definition of best/worst, and explain it.

Think about how you have treated both strangers and people you know to answer this question accurately. e.g.: If you say you like people but constantly avoid talking or doing any activity with other people do you actually like people?

And a bit of a follow up question because I want to complain a bit, why does it feel like most movie recommendation websites suck?

Let's keep it light-hearted. For me I've seemed to notice way more conservatives back their cars into spaces than their liberal counter parts.

Like, I travel around for work and I've met plenty of people from all backgrounds.

Why is there a demographic of people who don't seemingly bathe regularly, or at the very least wear something to cover up their BO? I could understand if it's an allergy, or even religious reasons (though the people I've met that smell bad are usually you're average American young adult man) but recently (like in the past week, recently) I've met a concerning number of people who don't seem to wear any kind of deodorant or possibly don't even bathe regularly; it's starting to become an issue for me, as I don't even want to interact with them when I can smell them walking up from 3+ feet away yet I need to for work.

Does anyone have any possible insight?

But, why would any university put itself in a position of dependence this easily?

Have universities always been a business in the United States?

I'm in my 20's and I consider myself a complete ignorant, in the sense that whenever I make a decision I always think "What would the future me do if I had more experience/knowledge?"

So taking advantage of this space in Lemmy, what lesson that you had to learn by force or that you learned by experience that when you were younger you didn't see you would teach your younger self?

And I mean lessons like: I must learn to love others, or I am worth more than I think I am.

They sound like 90s grunge to me and I kinda love it. They also sound like teenagers, which is what they are (I think) so, there's that. It's like a mix of Hanson, Weezer, and Nirvana. It's not bad, maybe not great, but what's with all the hate/love/intergenerational controversy?

Context, I'm 30 now and i will find women my age and up attractive, but 15 years ago a 35 year old women would never have been attractive to me.

As I've aged younger women are less and less attractive (thankfully)

But when I'm 60 will 60 year old women be attractive to me?

But I thought it was the opposite;

More spending means more demand means more supply, which means production costs go down (due to economies of scale)… so inflation goes down?

But saving means less spending, means less demand, means less income for business, means costs go up.. so inflation would rise?

I notice programming stuff leaks into my thinking and writing often but I actually enjoy the various constructs that help clarify thinking. I don't have any formal background in logic tho :(

What are some useful and accessible logical tools/operators/symbols that help in thinking+"pseudocode" Edit: definitely useful math/cs/logical symbols are particularly interesting

My Views: I would love it if Solar, Hydro and Wind and other renewable sources of energy + Non Renewable Nuclear were to provide enough energy reliably to completely replace fossil fuels, but I know it's not a feasible solution at least at this point. And maybe it will never be. Renewable sources of energy are highly dependent on some metal mining (some are rare metals) and I doubt if the prices of those metals would go lower as the demand for those renewable sources of energy sky rockets. i.e., It's a non-linear equation, the price of renewables will not remain the same if we want to meet 100% of our energy needs from renewables. So, Just Stopping Oil is a pretty stupid idea concocted by people who have a much better standard of living than me.

Skip This if you must: As an Indian, I can speak for 1.4B people (I asked) when I say that, no matter how much pressure developed nations impose on India and countries like India, we will still keep using the least costliest source of energy, because we too want nice things and we too want our women to be liberated from cow dung/wood stoves and from the burden of washing clothes and utensils. So yeah, there is no way bar great scientific innovation which will phase out fossil fuels at least in the near future and perhaps ever.

PS: I don't like fossil fuels, I don't like the pollution or the effect it has on the environment and I wish they could be replaced by something renewable, but I just don't like the chances of that happening.
