I remember there was a bug (or intended behavior?) of people getting their accounts banned for certain kinds of mundane chat messages in live streams and I'm a little spooked that the same will happen with the recent escalation in the adblocking arms race.

It looks like a fun hobby.

Between genociding Palestinians, giving weapons to Azov and concentration camps on his own country's border, Biden is starting to look more and more like an actual Nazi, hmm?

There's an old story in my family of my aunt returning home to my grandma's from a bar she lived in the basement, she looked up the basement window and there was some guy naked from the waist down with his wiener hanging and he just started jumping up and down shaking his weiner.

She called the cops and they never found the weirdo.

My question is what kind of power are creeps getting from sick shit like this?

I know about Ask Erowid. But there's nothing about my med on the site. The med I'm taking came out less than 15 years ago.

Edit: Latuda is the med I'm looking stuff up on.

The French and Haitian Revolutions are one of the most fascinating and momentous events in what passes for western history, and yet the way liberals treat these subjects is just downright atrocious

While the horrific counter-revolution of 1776 is glorified, the French Revolution is treated like some ugly step-child they'd rather keep locked in the basement

I'm sick of it, I just want to learn about a cool-ass revolution without power-worshipping liberals throwing a conniption

Haven't really looked around at those little online jobs in a long time, so I have no idea what is worthwhile or not these days. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?

I know basically nothing about tanks. Is the Merkava a good tank? What do you think of these comments?

The Merkava does not seem like a well built tank. It looks like they made it entirely of the exhaust port from the Death Star. Every Hamas video involving the Merkava is just a completely unescorted tank getting reverse 360 windmilled dunked. How many of these things have they lost?

If you tandem fire rpgs you can get a mobility kill on almost any tank. The US Army isn't stupid enough to fight like this.

It seems like a really basic strategy to not do this exact thing

I just had an obvious realization considering who the account belongs to. I don't know if either of them know anything about tanks either. Maybe they don't and their "knowledge" comes from video games. It's not criticism. It's just funny.

Been doomscrolling r/worldnews sometimes cuz reading their takes on Israel-Palestine is a form of self-harm. Then, go cleanse myself on r/news which has been somewhat decent surprisingly. But each time I also glance at headlines at the “other” war where it seems like Ukraine’s doing pretty well?

Anyone have good sources to follow and keep up to date on it?

i realized that i usually don’t think most of the time and maybe that’s weird. i’ll just kinda vomit out actions and words with no reflection like i’m doing right now.

I watched Mandela: Son of Africa, Father of a Nation over the weekend and was kinda bummed by it. I was hoping for more insight into the revolution: how the revolutionaries made decisions, how and who kept the movement alive while he was in prison, what was the theoretical basis for their actions. Instead, it was more of an encyclopedic timeline summary of events, as if things just happened for no reason. Then of course Mandela’s election is presented as perhaps the most important result of the liberation struggle, not yknow the ending of apartheid.

Can anyone suggest a documentary on the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa that focuses on the revolutionary organization efforts?

You know the types who complain about how women look facially in video games and the type who were complaining about Bella ramsey In the last of us being "ugly"

Why are they usually the least desirable looking people themselves?

So irritating

I just learned his name via the article.

Can a socialist ex-marine fill Joe Manchin's seat in West Virginia? | The Guardian

Sun 19 Nov 2023

To launch his campaign for US Senate, Zach Shrewsbury chose the site of one of America’s most famous hangings.

Charles Town, West Virginia, was where state authorities executed the abolitionist John Brown after he led an attack on a federal armory a few miles down the road in Harpers Ferry, a pivotal moment in the lead-up to the civil war. One hundred and sixty four years later, Shrewsbury – who decided against attempting to get a permit for the event at the site of the insurrection, which is now a national park – stood on the courthouse grounds where Brown’s hanging took place to announce that he would be the only “real Democrat” running to represent West Virginia in the Senate next year.

"We need leaders that are cut from the working-class cloth..."

He seems legit but I didn't read the rest of the article because I'm tired of the media leading me down the garden path.

I didn't see anyone mention it here or over on blahaj and the first I've heard of it was from a massive lib I know that just recently came out. So I was wondering.

Many people who are filthy rich by being corporate asslickers, the human trash that get paid huge amounts for manipulating the masses, and other similar people don't own anything yet they can hardly be called part of the proletariat.

Are they petty bourgeoisie or an exception of the working class that works against it?

I don't feel like I've had strong gender dysphoria, but I've lately been realizing more and more how much repressed stuff I got buried in my brain, and I was curious as to what the common signs are and get an idea of what others have experienced regarding this. Thanks in advance for any input you have.

Looking for some guidance from someone with their amateur radio ticket.

Ive been fooling around with RX SDR stuff for the last two or three years, picking up the local fuzz, weather satellites, ADS-B, my water meter RF, and the electric meter amongst other things. Im getting in to DIY my own RX antennae, ive built a few turnstile, two or three QHF for NOAA, a couple random wire antenna in my attic, colinear coax for 1090 and 978. I have the parts from a WIFI repeater that im converting to a bit higher frequency to pick up GOES images. DIY’ing my own RC filters. Im even figuring out Smith charts and antenna tuning. That shit makes my brain itch.

Im interested in getting my license to transmit, but im not interested in being part of the local radio operators group as they're a bunch of grizzled old fucks with some nasty politics. Make me look like Carl Marks in comparison. So, my question is - can someone recommend some good online self study materials? Free, paid, printable pdf, whatever idgaf. I want to learn more, but i don't know where to start. Yes, i could spend a day looking on my own as opposed to asking here, but i dont know what to weed out. Im hoping someone who already has their ticket can give me some pointers, whats worth looking at, whats worth avoiding.

Im going out on a few emergency service calls so, ill be unable to respond to anything for a few hours or more, likely. I know for certain there is at least one person with their TX license but i cant for the life of me remember whom it is. Id really love your input, and im sorry i cant remember your screenname.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a student who wants to study anthropology, sociology, and politics at a major university, and she has an interview coming up.

It's not my major field, so I'm looking for some input. She needs to familiarize herself with more formal systems with explanatory power on human cultural behaviors.

I've been teaching her historical materialism for months, which had been good in terms of her actually understanding the world, but I feel like I'd be doing her a disservice if that was her only tool, especially because her interviewers will most certainly be libs.

What other theories should she be aware of?

This is an odd predicament, and I'm currently not on state insurance so I can't afford to go to a doctor and ask. I currently have some sort of respiratory infection, no idea what it is unfortunately. I don't leave the house so it's not a big deal for infection's sake.

Anyways, whenever I get sick or have allergies at night, I start taking Hydroxyzine to sleep. Pretty much just a lighter Benedryl. Well, it's teal and dark blue, and so is Cephlaxin. Took some, thinking it was Hydroxyzine, was doing way better the day afterwards. But then saw my nightstand last night and realized that I definitely took Cephlaxin. Should I keep taking the anti-biotic (wasn't prescribed to me at all, for clarity) to complete the course? Or should I stop taking them now? I only took one dose, so normally I'd just say fuck it. However, I do actually have a respiratory infection right now, so I'm worried about opening th doorw. Thoughts?

I read something along the lines of "the civilian casualties of the Battle of Stalingrad is partially an example of the faults of Soviet centralized planning, as the state was not able to provide food, transport, housing, etc. in the time and numbers required." I am wondering what the response to this claim would be?
