OMG, can I just lament here a bit. And I wonder if this change befuddled anyone else.

When I run at the end of my run I love to also record my walk in my work out. And that (+) button that used to exist when you swiped right was such an awesome and easy feature/way to add a walk to my workout when I finished my run. I actually thought, after owning a FitBit and using the Nike Run Club app for years, I was like, "Wow -- Apple really nailed this!!"

BUT OMG -- the latest update changed that (among many other things that I won't get into)...but as a workout nerd and all-things-apple-geek, I was just like WHAT. THE. F&*K. Who made that change -- and more importantly, WHY??

That "Add workout" moved to under "End workout"!! Why would you ever do that. When I first realized this — right when my run ended no less — I was like what happened. And to see that "End workout" was my only option I was so confused. I did not want to press "end workout" because I wasnt ready. SO instead I pressed "Add segment" which I was thinking may have replaced the (+) button.

Anyway it wasnt until 2-3 runs/days later when I realized "Add workout" was hidden under "End workout".

Its probably such a dumb and OCD thing on my end, but it pissed me off so much and was sooooooo confusing. WHY DO THAT?

APPLE -- please start generating AI based on Steve Jobs and have that AI replace Tim Cook and everyone who is currently "head" of design. PLEASE.

I recently just got an Apple watch series 9 with cellular so I can go for runs without having my phone and still listen to music. I've noticed that when I do this and I run by my car (where my phone is) that my airpods will connect to my phone even if I was already connected to my watch. Is there any way to fix this?

Why doesn’t Apple have sick days I keep being reminded to stand when I should be sleeping

I have an iPhone 12 Pro (iOS 17.1.1) and Apple Watch 3 (watchOS 8.8.1). I have been having this problem since late September, and it has been concurrent over multiple updates on my watch and phone.

I am using the default mail app with a Comcast and a zoho email account. I have it set to fetch every 15 minutes. I am still receiving emails and they are in the mail app, but I am no longer receiving notifications just when I’m wearing my watch.

If I am not wearing my watch I get the normal notification mail preview on my phone Lock Screen and everything acts as normal. The second I put my watch on I don’t get notifications on my watch or phone Lock Screen.

I have tried both “mirror my iPhone” and “custom” under the Mail settings on my watch. I also have all the notification options turned on on my phone, and also have alerts, sounds, and badges turned on for that specific account.

I have unpaired my watch and set it up as a new one. I have also tried restarting my phone and watch after changing settings in hope it will fix it. The only things I haven’t tried is restoring my phone from a back up, and deleting the mail accounts and setting them up as new ones.

This seems more like an issue with watch settings, but I don’t know what else to try. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or have any suggestions?

One of the deal breakers for me is the Apple Watch unlocking my Mac and perhaps being able to use it with the Mac, rather than Touch ID, to unlock other things like payments, passwords and things like that on the Mac (the latter don't even know if it's possible).

When I open my Mac's (M2 - Sonoma) System Settings, on Touch ID and Passwords, I've read there's supposed to be an Apple Watch unlocking session to the right. That doesn't appear to me on the Mac. The watch is connected to my iPhone, both with the same Apple ID and on the same network. Am I missing something?

Is it just me or has Apple lost its touch on being innovative? I just upgraded my X to 15P and I’m not impressed at all. It seems like exactly the same phone but just a better camera.

iPhone X has some screen burn in at the bottom of the display and I was wondering if they’d still accept it for trade in?

Is your iPhone in good condition?

It turns on and functions normally (Yes)

All the buttons work (Yes)

The cameras work and all lenses are free of damage (Yes)

The battery holds a charge (Yes)

The body is free of dents and scratches (Yes)

The touchscreen and back glass are undamaged (Yes)

The display is free of distortion, lines and black or white spots (Yes??? Not sure if screen burn in counts)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Title. I plan on buying an Apple watch to track my health and sleep, I could not care any less for any of the smartwatch things that the watch can do. I would love to have it higher up on my forearm or even on my bicep if possible like a whoop, if anyone has tried it I would love to hear your experience.

Is there anyone here that wears two Apple Watches…or more? Before you envision a guy with seven watches on one arm, I’m asking about swapping between the two. I have an S4 that I just replaced with an S7 (I beat em up, so I buy em used). My watch gets more beat up on my night job than it does during the day, so I’m thinking about throwing on the S4 for my night job, and wearing the S7 the rest of the time.

Does anyone do anything like this? At one point, I thought about buying SS and having that as a “formal” AW. Similar dual-user concept. Does anyone do this?

I’ve got a 12. I bought it when it was last year’s model so it’s a couple of years old now.

I was just wondering does anyone actually multitask on these phones? These being the older ones with only 4 gigs of ram like the base 12 and 13.

I don’t really multitask, I use one app at a time usually - but every so often when I have to switch between, even only 2 apps, half of the time the app in the background will have been lost and reloaded. I’d then have redo all the steps i had done to get to that section of the app e.g re-search and re-apply the individual filters on Ebay. It’s kinda infuriating.

Is multitasking reserved only for the pro level iPhones, or something? I know iPhones are supposed to be more ram efficient but I’ve used androids with twice the ram before and I would not say they are equivalent. It doesn’t seem to be a problem on the higher level androids, you can hold whatever in the memory.

The ram efficiencies don’t seem to make up for the actual lack of ram.

Besides turning off automatic updates in settings, is there any other way to block tvOS updates?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a mount that will work on a TV?

I just received a second-hand Nike Sport band, and I would like to give it a deep-cleaning. What’s the best solution for cleaning these bands?

I have an Apple Watch app idea. The watch can detect when you fall asleep right? So, don’t you hate when you take a spontaneous nap and forget to set an alarm (or are just too lazy to) and then you sleep longer than you would have liked? There should be an app that knows when you fall asleep and sets an alarm automatically for like 30 mins (can be adjusted) so you don’t accidentally nap longer than you should.

I’d call it Anti-Amnesia.

My iPhone 15 Pro feels mushy with just about every USB-C cable, and some of them don't work properly at all. They'll continuously reset charging no matter how I plug them in. Meanwhile the Apple USB-C cable works perfectly. It connects with a satisfying click and has no charging issues at all.

These aren't no-name cables either, they're braided cables from reputable brands that work fine with every other USB-C device I own, including multiple Apple device. I will admit that they probably aren't manufactured to the same tolerances as Apple, but it's just strange that the iPhone 15's port is apparently so sensitive.

Anyone else experience the same?

Hey guys! Just got the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I have a temporary otterbox clear case on it, just so I don’t run around with it naked. I need a case, with mounting options. So there’s Mous, Rokform, Quadlock and Peak Design that seem to be the best ones. I’ve had good experiences with Rokform. Had it on my old iPhone 6 Plus, and also on my 13 Pro Max. The mount I need the most is the magnet one, which lets you attach the phone to any metal surface. It doesn’t seem like I have any options other than Rokform for this. Searching for it is stupid because anything “magnet” brings up MagSafe. Which is obviously not what I’m looking for. I do also need it to work with MagSafe though. I want to go with peak design cuz it looks the best and I like the other mounts, but it’s scarcely available in the UK, and it doesn’t look like it has the magnetic option I’m looking for. Help?

I woke up this morning and my watch updated, and now NONE of my kinesthetic memory works for operating it.

I just want something to work when I wake up and need to get on with life. I don't want to relearn the entire watch.

Why does apple think it's okay to do me like this?!
