So irritated with the new firmer that came out a couple months ago… I had all of my faces set up so I can swipe left and right and I hit the button to pull up my most used apps. This is very frustrating now. Wish I could roll back (I know Apple never allows this!) or at least get the old functionality back. Anyone figured out a way to at least swipe faces without the long press?

So I got an Apple Watch yesterday, and when I was setting it up it said something about needing an update. So I plugged it into the charger and went to my room, I checked my Apple Watch progress on the app and I thought everything was ok. It then went to a screen like the one shown above, but it was slowly going around in a circle to show the progress. I went to bed thinking nothing of it and the next day my Apple Watch is like this and I can’t pair it. I went to the app and stopped the update process because I waited like 5 min for something to happen on the app but nothing ended up happening. So I stopped the update and tried to re-pair the Apple Watch. It says the Apple Watch is paired to another phone but it clearly isn’t. I went to the website recommended and it said that everything had to be done either on the app or something else on the actual watch. If there are any solutions, please help.

I already use ChatGPT, what are some other apps making use of AI for productivity? I am looking for email inbox management, calendar organization, and anything else that can make me more efficient in my day to day life.

So I used to be able to cast things (like YouTube) to our LG TV without issues. Same for screen mirroring. About two weeks or so ago I tried and just couldn’t get it to connect either way. The phone seems to be trying, but the tv never acknowledges anything. Nothing at all. The phone attempt times out.

They both work great otherwise and are both on the same WiFi network. TV AirPlay and Bluetooth are on and seem to be working from my wife’s Samsung S20. The only thing that I think has changed are Apple updates to the iPhone, but I do not know where the problem exists.

Any help in resolving this would be appreciated.

Which phone should I get iPhone 15 Pro or older iPhone 14 Pro Max? And can you please elaborate why.

Personally my biggest concerns with 15 Pro is it’s battery life and overheating problems which I only heard about. I like the design and new natural titanium colour.

But on 14 Pro Max there is longer battery life and it is relatively reliable and sturdy.

The cost in this case is absolutely the same.

Oppenheimer is now available to purchase in the Apple TV app. With previous Blu-ray releases, Nolan expands the aspect ratio for the imax scenes so it's not letterbox. But hasn't done the same for digital purchases (previously).

Has anyone purchased the movie with Apple TV and seen whether the aspect ratio switches? Or is it letterbox the whole way through? I can't see any mention on the store page.

Do yall think Apple will ever bring themed icons to match the colors in your wallpaper like Android does? I have a very unpopular opinion, but I find specially the vanilla Android experience (found on Google Pixel devices) absolutely stunning to look at with the matching color icons. This is a huge pet peeve of mine that Apple doesn't do this yet.

Do you think they'll ever bring that to iPhone without needing to jailbreak or downloading one of those dumb theme apps?

So, I went over an acciden I was in at the end of last month. I was riding a bicycle and was hit by a pick-up passing illegally. Crash detection worked, call the emergency services and my emergency contacts. 18 hours in the hospital, new titanium bits in my upper arm and a bunch of road rash. Healing nicely, so far.

My watch (AWU2) had a screen protector on it, which was demolished (posted in the AW reddit about it) but the watch itself only has a couple nicks on the casing. My phone (iP 15PM), also had a case and screen protector on it went flying down the road. The screen protector needed replacing, which was simple from Zagg. The case I had on it was the Spigen Enzo Aramid that was 3 days old. It was also torn up as well. Phone was fine under all that, no blemishes at all.

I had reached out to Spigen through their Enzo email address for support. I asked if there was a discount code to replace the case. They ended up asking how it was messed up and I told them the story of the crash. In the end, they took my address and original order number and sent me a brand new Enzo Aramid case. I was not expecting a free one, just like a 15% or 20% off code.

The case and screen protectors did their jobs. And it is nice when companies stand behind their products and take care of their customers. I just wanted to share a positive outcome from a negative afternoon.

And don't be like me and "not wear a helmet because I am only going down the block." Always wear a helmet regardless of the length of the trip.

TLDR: New case is causing a gap when laptop is closed, will it destroy my screen in the long term?

I have bought a cheap hard MacBook case there on Amazon a while ago and when on the laptop, there was a gap when it was closed. I sent it back as I wasn’t happy with the gap. Fast forward another couple weeks later and Apple have one on their website by inCase that is sturdier but more expensive. IA product on apples accessories store should be good, right? It arrived today but clipped on, there is still a gap when closed. I understand that there will always be a gap no matter which case I get as its clipping on to the lip of the laptop however I am wondering in the long term, will it not let dust in and destroy my screen over time? I also have it in a laptop sleeve that I keep it in at all times. Would love to hear peoples experiences and opinions on this.

Went I pick up a 14” M3 MacBook pro at my local Best Buy and prior to paying, I noticed this big model number wiring on the side of the box with a Sharpie. Associate said they do it to all of them for easy identification. Since MacBook Pros are not shrink wrapped, let’s just say I came home empty handed.

Anyone else seem this before?

Was at a café today when I got the notification to connect to an Apple TV. I dismissed it twice, after a few minutes phone froze, and didn’t respond until a force restart. Switched off Bluetooth, it was still lagging so restarted again and now working fine. I noticed a lot of the other customers also were having problems, almost 5 other people all had iPhone logo on their screen and exclaiming their phone froze.

And then saw it happen to 2 friends I was with as well.

I believe it was this, or similar to Flipper Zero.

Hello, I changed my Apple Watch SE for a Series 9 and now the sleep measurement seems like this to me, I use the Apple app + AutoSleep, does anyone know why now it comes out like this?

I posted a few weeks ago about what Macbook to get and there was a helpful comment but I’m still unsure. I realised now I was probably asking the wrong question. I’m currently in college and want a future proof laptop for the next 5-6 years. As of now I only do light coding however I’m planning to start doing more heavy game dev tasks in the coming years and pursue this as a career. My main question is what should my minimum specs be? Main things are chipset, RAM and maybe SSD size though it’s much cheaper to have an external one. I’m hoping to connect to an external monitor which means the Pro’s built in HDMI port will be helpful though if the Air is better I can always get an adapter. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Why doesn't the iOS operating system have the ability to adjust color profiles and only uses the P3 profile? In the macOS operating system, there is an option to customize color profiles, and I've set mine to Apple RGB, which displays colors beautifully and vividly. It's a shame that this option is not available on the iPhone.

I understand I can edit the info on music and change the categories like what type of music it is; can movies have their info changed too? I only ask because I own a lot of movies I bought from Apple but I think their organization of them stinks. Of the 1205 movies I own licenses for, according to their categories I own 1 of the following type of movies: classics, holiday, independent, music documentaries, music feature films, and sports. I just think they need to do better with how they sort movies. I have plenty of movies that would be considered sports movies (fiction & nonfiction), holiday movies, independent movies, etc.

Is there anything I can do to better sort my movies properly?

An older person who's far from technically savvy that wants to send videos to multiple people via group message. iPhone users receive good quality video, Android users receive pixelated garbage. What would be the easiest way to deliver high quality video to Android devices as well?

I know that you can share them with google drive (or other similar service), but I am afraid that may be a bit too complicated for the person in question. Are there any other easier ways to achieve this?
