I wanna change its battery and screen,as the battery is degraded and screen is cracked,(been wanting to join the gang for a while now) what would be the general cost to change those 2 in Europe?

My household has been having an issue with the Apple TV and it’s affects on the avr and tv, specifically when on another input on the avr and the atv4 goes to sleep and it shuts down the LG tv. The ATV4 is connected to CBL/SAT and we have a switch and desktop in other inputs. So generally what will happen is we will be watching content or playing a game on another input and because I had the atv4 running, it will go to sleep and suddenly everything shuts off.

After looking into it I’ve set the Apple TV device in sleep settings to “Never” so it won’t ever go to sleep. But this means it won’t ever go into low power mode automatically.

So I can turn off the ATV4 manually either with the remote or the app on my phone but this will again shut down the LG TV (but not the AVR)

Is there a workaround for this? Is this a CEC thing? Or a pass through thing?

I was really excited to start using Standby, but then I used it…

To me, the primary purpose is to be able to glance at the time like an alarm clock, but it turns out the clock shuffles along with everything else.

I checked the settings and couldn’t find anything else to force the clock.

iphone 14 pro, just updated to ios17. below keyboard-> english-> auto capitalization/check spelling/predictive/delete slide to type by word. where can i disable this feature?

Just randomly today both of my cameras decided to bum out. Same thing with flash, changing to 2x doesn’t work, etc. Was trying to run to Snapchat and all of a sudden cameras are black in all applications. Yes I’ve restarted. Yes I’ve updated.

This will be my first macbook, so I don't know yet how I'll like it. Would it run Linux (maybe Windows too) aside from ios? I've heard that it needs some workarounds. Would there be limitations running Linux?

Hey mates, since I got a new iphone I want to give my old ip14 to my girlfriend. The ip14 has a monthly ac+ subscription. If I now reset the device and use my girlfriends apple id, do I have to call apple to transfer ac+ to my girlfriends apple id or can I just leave it running under my apple id?

So I’ve just bought an Ultra 1, looking to get a new phone contract too (probably O2) with more data to make use of the cellular so I can leave my phone at home, do I have to pay extra at all for it to be linked to the watch aswell? Or when I set up the new sim on my phone will it automatically just be loaded up on the watch aswell? Thanks !

I am an automatic updates on all my Apple devices, and tonight my AW SE got WatchOS10.

I am shocked and disappointed.

The most basic and used feature has disappeared, you cannot swipe between watchfaces anymore! Is this not the core feature of the Apple Watch? Configure yourself a bunch of watch faces, stylish or packed with information, whatever fits the situation, add complications freely, and then swipe between them with ease?!? This is the core functionality of my Apple Watch, the feature I use at least a dozen times per day. Poof, it is gone. Decide yourself for one Watchface, or go into the menus every time to change it.

Honestly, this change has moved me from thinking about what is going to be my next Apple Watch to thinking about which brand of smartwatch I want to try next. If I wanted a product where the manufacturer was making changes for change’s sake, I‘d use my Windows machine.

Hey guys, Long time android user here, just switched from samsung to iPhone 15 Plus.

Having weird charging behaviour with my cables, iphone is not charging with some cables, i tried all of them and found out that: Charging and file transfer works with Apple cable and weirdly with all my old samsung cables, but not with random amazon type A to C cable (usb 3.2 certified, premium ones) and my wifes Huawei cables, the phone is simply not detecting anything.

Does the cable used for charging and file transfer need to be Apple « made for iPhone » certified to be working ? If yes, why are my old samsung cables working ? Thanks for your answers

My iPhone 12 Pro is updated to 17.1.1 and it’s not working when I plug in the lighting cable. It connects but once I try to play a show or movie it won’t work. My brother has the same phone but with iOS 16 and it works fine. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it??

Hey, I wanted to hear your opinion and maybe compare to similar experiences to understand if is just my problem or the iPhone 11 in general is aging bad. I have this phone since January 2020 and I used a lot during first period (including few months of covid lockdown) reaching 7/8h usage time/day. During this years it was more like 5h/day of regular use (social apps,web searches , camera, messaging..) nothing crazy. Everything was going alright but This year, installing iOS 17, my iPhone started going very slow, lagging and freezing sometimes. Could it be because is aging (new updates are maybe hardware demanding?)? Anyone with similar experience? I have to say my battery life is 78% and I read somewhere that could worse the iPhone performances. Every time I shot a photo takes ages (is not just push and here we go, like is lagging because tap to shot ), when I text a message the keyboard sometimes freezes and the letter I pressed last stay capped for like 6-7 seconds. I need often to close and open apps because they freezes. I already restarted and tried to reset as factory settings, but nothing changed.

Hi, I get every 2nd/3rd gen iPhone. Wanting the latest for usb-c to future prof (on 13 now).

Considering getting a pro max for the first time, feels a bit big in the hand. Are there cases available with some sort of pop-socket or pop grip built in that make it more comfortable to hold/use?

I cant not have some case as the phone does drop once inawhile and i would hate to have something so expensive damaged/cracked/etc. Minimal-esque cases have always been my go-to, wondering if anyone has positive experience with something like this.

My phone isn’t connecting to the wifi. The wifi has always worked but one day it just started loading and never connected. It’s been like this for a week. I thought it might be the wifi but my other devices connect fine. Does anyone know what the issue is? I’ve seen people have similar issues but I haven’t been able to find a fix. Pls help. Thanks!

I just got an iPhone 13 and I got scammed (please don't roast me) ans the screen is broken, no cracks but has the weird coloured line things and doesn't register touches. The battery is also open. Does anyone know if it would be easy enough to repair it my self as a 16 and any external apps I could download ony laptop to see if there are any other problems with it. PS I have built custom PC's before so I am alright with tech but am not sure how different it would be.

I’ve recently started experiencing an issue where my internet seemingly drops despite continuing to be connected to WiFi, and weirdly, it not saying that I have no internet connection. All internet traffic in both browser and apps simply freezes until I switch to mobile data for 10 seconds and then switch back to wifi.

I’ve tried the usual forums and troubleshooting faqs but all I get is articles about dropping wifi altogether or useless things like “make sure you’re router is on”.

Some details:

1. I’ve tried restarting and updating to no avail

2. This is happening on many different public and private wifi networks, so it’s not my router settings or anything. Other devices work fine on all of the networks I’ve tried.

3. iPhone 12, currently on 16.3.1

Any clues would be very helpful.

I'm facing an issue with my iPhone 11 on iOS 17 – it refuses to cooperate with my WiFi. Interestingly, my other devices are working seamlessly on the same network, so it's not a WiFi problem. I've ruled out any accidental blocks, tried updating to iOS 17, restarted my phone multiple times, and even attempted the classic 'forget and reconnect' method. Unfortunately, the problem persists. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I went to text an old friend from college and found that their contact was missing from my phone. I quickly realized that all the contacts (that I can think of) that I added somewhere between 2015-2018 are missing, excluding one who I texted with a month or so ago. Contacts from high school and since 2019 are there. I tried re-syncing my contacts through iphone settings and went into my icloud to restore contacts. These approaches didn't work. I went back to look on an old Mac to find that the contacts were also missing there, despite my not using the computer in months. I also checked an old icloud account where I was sure they'd be stored, and nothing! Its as if these contacts never existed in the first place. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do?

I’m new to the Apple TV devices. 2 weeks ago, I got the Apple TV 4K 128GB and I have been loving it thus far.

We have my fiancée’s 93 year old grandmother that lives with us, so we leave the tv on for her to watch. I’m curious if there is any way for me to control the Apple TV while I’m away from my home in case it times out?
