So i found an i phone 13 pro max 256 in a second hand selling website a talked with the owner to buy it he said that he got it as a replacement from the insurance for his old i phone being damaged and not being able to repair it they gave him a replacement that he didnt even open before he juste got it out of its case. What do i look for in this situation to not get scammed I heard people say that once the guy gets my money he will report his phone stolen and get a new phone how to protect myself in this situation? Should i make a selling contract? Thanks Ps:the price is 800$

My Mother and Apple Support have messed up her iPhone & Apple ID
My mother's iphone got locked out..full security lockout.
Instead of calling me first, she panicked and fully locked it.
In talking with Apple Support, they seemed to have just set her up with a second Apple ID. Her phone uses one based on her old aol email.. this new one that her ipad is on is based on her yahoo one.
KNOWN INFO:
The AOL one's trusted phone number is the iphone #. When I try to enter it into the iforgot.com recovery system, it just doesn't do anything though (it IS the one it's asking for)
The yahoo one's trust phone number is the house line. It will call the phone and read out a security code.
We can get into her AOL mail, and her yahoo mail with no issues.
We can log into icloud.com with the yahoo based one. It lists the ipad, but NOT the iPhone.
We can not log into icloud.com with the AOL based one, as the password seems wrong.
AS the password is wrong, I can not just get the iphone to Fully erase and start over from the iphone itself.
I have my open iphone and ipad and laptop to do stuff with. Because of the trusted phone number issue I mentioned above, the "reset someone eles's apple id fucntion in the Apple Support App isn't working.
QUESTION:
WHAT IF ANYTHING CAN I DO BY MYSELF TO RESET THE PASSWORD ON THE APPLE ID THE PHONE IS BASED ON?
IF I CAN NOT FIX IT MYSELF, can the verizon store (it's a verizon iphone) help me or do I need to go to an Apple Store specifically.

Today is one one those days where I am super glad I bit the bullet and finally got myself an Apple Watch. I was having some weird heart stuff going on yesterday (Suspected SVT) and was advised to go to A&E. Of course in the time I was waiting my resting heart rate returned to normal so to their tests everything was fine.

I had used the ECG app at the time to capture the problem I was having and the doctor actually requested to look at it and has helped me to get some medication and a cardiology referral.

So grateful to have such technology literally on my wrist to help me advocate for my health!

I tried to transfer my Whatsapp chat from my Samsung s21 to my iphone 15 pro max but it only restore most of the messages except recent ones (one hour at most) What did do wrong in the process? And how do i get all of my chat ?

I have Show Previews set to “When unlocked” on both notifications and Instagram itself but everytime someone messages me my screen wakes up to lock screen. This leads to more battery drain. I wanna see the previews on my lock screen when i double tap the screen but dont want the screen to wake with each incoming message. Can anyone help?

My question is, is it safe to use as a "docking station" in order to use my Macbook as a permanent desktop PC with an external display. Meaning it would be plugged in pretty much the entire day, every day.

Heavily considering upgrading my phone from the 13 to the 15 Pro and cant seem to find any information on if the SIM trays in the two are compatible.

I typically run with either a clear or no case and love the color of my current 13, but cant match it remotely closely with the 15 Pro and so was wondering if I'd be able to bring just a small part of it with me.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I allowed automatic update recently, and after the latest update the vibration pattern for incoming calls and reminders had changed (to a super bothersome one, like 15 buzzes vs previously 2). I found the setting to change the patter for incoming calls but not reminders. Does anybody know where/if I can change it? It’s driving me crazy
