Hey all, my nephew gifted me his old MacBook air, I believe from 2013, but the password he gave me to get into the desktop doesn't work, I don't have an apple ID, I don't think at the moment. I'm not really certain how to get access to the main screen/desktop.

how did yall get used to no home button and face id when you first switched? muscle memory of like 10 years is tripping me up, i keep trying to double click to open up the app switcher. also the size difference is insane.

I just found out yesterday that there is no way to silence your Apple Watch when you silence your phone. And apparently, this has never been a feature!

HOW? Like, how on earth is this not an option to enable? Why with my text messages and basically every notification or app do I have the choice to “mirror the iPhone”, but when it comes to silencing your iPhone apparently it’s impossible to also silence the watch?

It seems so simple of a feature, yet here I am typing this post.

So can we all rally together and put in opinions, comments, suggestions, or tickets….whatever they are called to Apple to have a feature to have your Apple Watches silencing be tied directly to your iPhone? And since it is an option, if you don’t like it, then you don’t have to enable it. But for me, this would make things so much simpler. And I’m hoping if we all put in a ticket, then maybe they will actually implement it!!!!

I predominantly wear my Ultra (and previous Apple watches) as I've grown so used to the features and functionality in daily life.

However I do own other watches like quite a few G-shocks and Casio Edifice and I'm sometimes tempted to wear them but usually revert back to my apple watch out of convenience (living in Japan the Apple watch is essential for transit and electronic payments.)

Do you guys ever wear other watches and if so what are they and under what situation would you wear them over your Apple watch?

Hi there, sorry if this isn’t the right place to post. I’m currently traveling overseas. I was on an overnight train and I saw a notification pop up about an AirTag that has connected to my iPhone. I clicked the notification and opted to “erase” it from my iPhone (I’m almost certain it said erase not remove). In doing this, it asked me to enter my Apple ID email and password. Within seconds of doing this, my iPhone 14 did a complete factory reset.

I did not enter the find my app, I just clicked the notification that appeared on my Home Screen.

I went about setting up my iPhone by signing into my Apple ID, however none of my preset home screens transferred across. Everything was signed out inc emails etc. All my emails require two step authentication and as I am overseas and don’t have access to my home SIM card I cannot log in to my emails etc. I used another persons phone to log on and change my Apple ID password immediately. I called my bank and froze all my accounts (no money had been taken).

Is there a chance, when I was attempting to remove the AirTag I have somehow “removed my iPhone” and triggered a factory reset? I can’t find any YouTube videos or anything explaining this. Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you.

My partner and I got a new Apple Watch SE for my partner’s sister and turns out it won’t connect because her phone isn’t updated to the latest iOS system?

She has the iPhoneX which only has up to ios 16 available and we cannot get this watch to connect. My Apple Watch SE connects to her phone but it is at watchOS 9.3.1. Any help or support for this would be appreciated!

Just purchased the series 9. I can’t for the life of me figure out this issue. I don’t want my watch to beep, just vibrate. I have silence on my Apple Watch. But not on my iPhone. However when I get calls or text messages my phone does not ring or beep. Is there a way to make it so my watch is silent with vibration but have my iPhone with normal sounds?

It's an iPhone 13. Bat life is still decent for use. I was planning to replace it when the iPhone 16 came out initially, but looking at the rate things are progressing. Should I wait more? Should I wait for the iPhone 17 or something? My iPhone has a tiny scratch on it so I won't get much for trade-in 😔

I ordered a new Macbook Air 13 M1 from an authorized reseller. It arrived 3 days ago and yesterday I noticed a subtle click sound when it is being closed. Today I noticed that the left side of the screen on the outer side ( aluminum ) has a slight bend too. Under correct light it is visible that it is a dent. I am guessing manufacturing mistake.

My questions are:

Should I return it?

Can I go to the Apple Store and do a repair or exchange or do I have to do it via the store where I bought it from? (This could take weeks and I want to enjoy my laptop 😂) Other than this the laptop works perfectly fine but I am worried about issues down the road or that my warranty will be void.

I was unfortunate enough to spill some water inside my backpack where my MacBook Pro was. I quickly got it out and dried it, but as I examined it I see that it had got some ugly water damage inside the screen, and it looks to have been cross scotch taped in the bottom right corner, possibly as it was assembled.

I bought the Mac only two months ago, and thought I was looking at a very expensive repair job, but now it looks more like a warranty case, where I have got a faulty product. Thoughts?

Hi, my iphone just fell from my hands and now i only see some colored lines on black screen. Lines move a bit when i press home button. There are no cracks in the screen.

Any guidance as to what is my best course of action to repair? any idea what part may be damaged and possible cost to fix?

Is this iPhone pro max 1tb white titanium real or fake?

I received an Ultra 2 from Apple in the mail and like the title states, it’s really hard to get one side of the band to release. I’m persistent so I got it to, but my gf couldn’t. My other AWU2 (sending back for unrelated issue) didn’t have this problem, and the same band glides nice and smooth. All genuine Apple bands seem to “get stuck” on the new U2. Wondering if it’s worth getting a replacement or if it should get smoother with use. Like I said my old one was buttery out the box.
