Per title. We knew it was coming some day, tho perhaps not this soon. Will you be upset if you need ugly adapter to make your extensive + expensive watchband collection work?

tite says it all. I upgraded my iPhone 13 to a 15, and now my Apple Watch Series 3 won't pair - the phone "can't find it" any suggestions? Other than up grading the watch. Don't need the new stuff on it

Thank you

Basically, I am trying to record as many videos as humanly possible for my daughter (who is now 6), but the videos will be for all stages of her life, from kid to teen to adult. I know I won’t be there for her, so I’m hoping that through these videos I can still “be there for her” at least somewhat and also teach her life lessons and such. Basically, I’m kinda trying to do what Superman’s dad did for him, like where he puts in the crystal and the AI hologram of his dad appears and talks to him and teaches him lessons or just hangs out with him. Well, I don’t have a fortress of solitude or an AI hologram crystal, but I got this IPhone 15 Pro Max. Hopefully that will be enough.

I just recorded my first video on this phone for my daughter. I used 4K at 24 fps, to see if I could give the video more of a cinematic type feel. The video was a few minutes over an hour and was like 14.5GB! I’m using “Apple ProRes” video format with HDR as the “format encoder”.

I really want to film the videos for her in 4K if I can, because I am trying to future-proof the videos as much as humanly possible. I am thinking she could be watching these videos 50 plus years from now and I feel like 4K should help them hopefully hold up better.

I just wanted to ask you guys if there is a good way for me to film these videos in 4K, but maybe use some format that helps save a bit on file space. Because I believe the videos I have recorded in 4K 60fps on my PC (I have an elgato facecam pro with a SM7B mic), that are all about an hour long only came out to 1-2 GB’s or so, where as this iPhone video is 14GB! Although it is appealing to use a format that allows for the best editing options in the future, I cannot justify the storage space usage and over all extra cost this would bring upon me in the future trying to find ways to store these videos. So I definitely need some kinda 4K format that maybe has some compression or something, but will hopefully get my file sizes down to about a GB or two for an hour of footage.

If y’all have any tips for me on this I would be really appreciative! Thanks so much!

My partner and I were terrified to wake up to voices in the room just now. A video I was watching earlier today happened to resume on its own.

Software is up to date, I’ve never had anything like this happen, has anyone here??

I am still superbly uncomfortable from the adrenaline rush.

The pictures always get mixed up even when I select the photos in the order I would like for them to go in.

I tried the “register new appearance” option with my glasses on and it’s still pretty awful. I turned off all the attention aware features but no. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks.

I’m notorious for losing my phone (probably happens 4-5 times / week.

I’m looking for a hack to keep my phone on silent mode (exact same settings as when the silent switch on the side is down), whilst receiving phone calls. I only need the ringer on, so that I can dial my phone and find it quickly when I lose it.

All the help articles I’ve looked at, suggest going into focus mode. I’m looking for a different method, as this would be an all time setting. I wouldn’t want to be on do not disturb or focus all day everyday. Is there any other way to keep calls on and all other settings silenced?

I know this sounds ridiculous, but it’s a serious issue. I have short term memory loss, and really struggle to find my everyday items. I’ve also had to use my laptop and ring the “find my iPhone” bell a few teams. I’d really like to avoid doing that weekly!

Have anyone had this problem with their iPhone 15? It have happened a few times when I try to film. It adds a green line or glitches out like this. Closing the camera app and reopening it fixes the problem, but will this keep happening more and more often or do you guys a system update will fix it?🤔

I'm looking at getting my daughter a new iPhone for Christmas. She currently has the SE 2nd edition (I think, released in 2020?). She's obsessed with the .5 zoom, if her current phone had it, I don't think she'd be asking for a new one. So I'm trying to figure out the best path forward. She loves filming videos etc. Should I be looking 14, 14+, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max? Or 15, 15+, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max? I'm an Android guy (apologies), so I'm a bit out of my AOE.

Question regarding volume(s) on Apple Watch. I have a Series 8, running 10.1.1. I can adjust the volume either on the watch or in the watch app to very close to silent or even silent, yet during workouts voice announcements like “exercise ring closed” still sound pretty loudly. Checked workout app to see if there was an independent volume setting but did not see one. Any ideas?

I bought a 45 mm nike band anthracite last month on poshmark, it was 100% new not opened.

Now I try it today with my new series 9 and the top part (the one with the pin) doesn’t click so the band slides.

What should I do and what can I do? Since it wasn’t bought directly from Apple and it’s a last year band model.

New to iPhone, been android for years. I have a couple gmail addresses and a yahoo address. I’m constantly checking each app (gmail & yahoo) for new mail. I know I can link those in the iPhone mail app, but haven’t done so yet. Is there any drawback to doing so? TIA

Hi people, tomorrow I'm supposed to buy my first Apple computer ever, a friend's 2020 M1 Macbook Pro. It's 13 inches, and comes with 16 GB or ram and 512 GB of storage.

She's accepted my offer for $1200 CAD (around $900 USD). I've looked around and haven't found anything around that price for the performance, but people around me all react like "that's steep but whatever".

What do you think?

Is it possible to charge iPhone via MagSafe, while simultaneously plugging in a usb c Apple Watch charger to the phone’s USB c port and charging an Apple Watch?

Hey,

By default the standby feature dims the screen automatically when sleeping, but in the settings there’s an option to keep it on always, even if you’re sleeping.

I’m just curious whether this could potentially be bad for the phone screen in the long-term? I don’t think they’d offer the option if it was but just wanted to ask out of curiosity if anyone knows, because I think I’d rather just have it on so I don’t have to make any noise or movement.

Why are most iPhone cases now clear in different colors?

For me I like fully covered ones because clear cases look so ugly to me

Fully covered ones seem more aesthetically pleasing to me

I’m looking to buy a used iPhone as mine is toast. I’m looking at a 11 on marketplace for 250 that’s in good condition with 84% batter capacity. Should I go with it or where should I look to buy from instead?

I’ve always had good luck protecting my phones with OtterBox products, so I’m leaning towards an OtterBox watch case. I don’t know if I should get one with the built in screen protector or get the exo edge and add a separate screen protector . What do you guys recommend?

Hello everyone,

I recently decided it would be worthwhile to invest in some MagSafe stuff. I specifically want to get a power bank, wallet, and charger. I was curious if you guys think it’s best to get these directly from Apple, or if third party options are better. I’m specifically looking at Spigen because they seem to be the most reliable.

Thank you
