It’s been more than a month and it’s only getting worse, all tv shows and movies I know had HDR or Dolby Vision just doesn’t have them anymore. I’ve been using Squid Game to track this and I remember I was rewatching it when Dolby Vision just disappeared and it was now regular HDR, now the HDR is algo gone, Dolby Atmos is also gone, what is going on on Netflix?? It’s the only streaming service that charges extra for this features and now the only thing we have is 4K playback (the worst looking 4K of all streaming services I have). Did they say anything about this? It’s been happening for so long there’s no way they didn’t notice. They also still feature Dolby Vision and Atmos on their website so it’s not like they’re dropping support, so what is going on?

I’ve been having this problem not only on my Apple TV but also on the Netflix app on my LG and in my iPhone not even 4K is available anymore and all shows and movies are shown as HD only.

Ive had the iPhone 15 pro max since release with no issues. In the past hour my iPhone has either frozen crashed or restarted five times. I updated to iOS 17.1.2 a few days ago and haven’t had a problem until now. I might go to the Apple Store tomorrow to see what’s going on.

Wow, the iPhone is so advanced that I need to take off my sunglasses every time I use my phone. What a great user experience. /s

My ancient Samsung phone can be unlocked with both iris scan and fingerprint. Apple could have at least kept Touch ID as a backup option.

It's my first iphone since 9 years, I'm missing notifications as notifications placement is weird and why wifi enabling automatically in the morning? I enable wifi after my workout. Also when I'm trying to setup multiple alarms in the morning but it's redirecting to native health app, but software is super smooth compared to pixel 7 pro, it's a beautiful software and it feels like a great phone but I need to get used to lot of things, I even can't buy Kindle eBooks from Amazon app, I read and buy Kindle books regularly and it's a bummer I can't buy directly from app that's really sad. Also I'm using 30w charger phone gets warm during first 30 mins of charging it's not uncomfortable though it reaches 80% faster than i expected. Thought I'd use 20w charger but some people asked me to get 30w.

Every time I go to bed wearing the watch, when I wake up it usually says something like “too many wrong password attempts, try again in 4 hours”, presumably because I am pressing the watch face with my arm when I sleep. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I did a jog this morning (outside) and my watch clocked my HR in zone 5 for practically the whole thing. Is this normal? I definitely felt like I could keep going, though my joints were starting to get tired. I don’t feel like I was going at a fast pace either, I think I’m pretty slow.

I normally do treadmill jobs and the same thing happens. I had an EKG earlier this week and everything looked normal.

Got the latest update and it’s changed what happens when you swipe up.

I can’t find where all those features, like changing your focus/do not disturb have gone.

How do I access those now?

Just wondering, because most watches I see on here are aluminum.

I know that apples ships review units to reviewers and influencers ahead of time. when the reviews are published a lot of them contain close up shots of the iPhones. that made me wonder - are the units reviewers get any different then the ones sold to customers? do they go through stricter QC? are the features exactly the same? are there any conditions apple imposes on the reviewers to make their produces look better in reviews?

All I want to do is transfer my photos to my PC (or external drive) for backup. Why is this is such a painful task? It's an iPhone SE, ios 17.1.1

I've tried the drag and drop method. No luck. Maybe 10 photos get transfered. I've tried the windows photo app method with import media from usb (iphone). It recognizes about 10% of the photos, imports them, and half of them are just partial grey boxes.

I maxed out my free cloud storage long ago - everything is stored locally on the phone and I just want to back these up.

How it is that we are in 2023 and I can't just select all photos to transfer to my computer without a giant headache? Any tips would be appreciated... thank you.

Looking at "Very Good" refurbished Macs and wondering what the consensus is on the following.

Option 1: 15" Mid 2015 Macbook Pro Retina - i7-4980 with dual graphics, 16GB RAM, and 512GB Storage. They are going for $400-450 or so.

Option 2: 13" 2020 M1 Macbook Air - M1 with 16GB RAM and 512GB Storage. They are going for $850-1100 or so.

Option 3: Open to other ideas.

Use Case: School and general daily use. Some Photo and Video Editing as well as digital art for school (ports on the 2015 MBP are nice). As well as email, general web browsing, remote classes, paperwork, etc.

Hey, anyone can recommend any good cases for iPhone 15 pro max that is thin but at the same time supports MagSafe? I’m currently using a Nudient case which is good but I’m looking to try another brand if possible.

I really enjoy every second of my apple tv 4k while using Infuse , it's way better than Plex if you want a smoother, better and faster interface for playing your media library.

I highly recommend it over any other video player.

Mainly going to use it for personal stuff, browsing, watching videos and coding. With trade-in, gift cards, student discount, I can get it for about $1100 after tax.

Hey guys so I’m on a long journey coach and I found out that the guy’s AirTag has been connected to my device. So I talked to him about it and he was unaware of it. I do find it very creepy because the AirTag should have never connected to my phone. So right now all I did was switched off the location of my iPhone and disabled the notification. But I’m still worried that he can still have my location. Please help!

I need something to write an e-mail, watch a movie, I have a PC for gaming and other demanding tasks, but I need something cheap and portable. I have the opportunity to grab such a MacBook for €75

So I am just here to ask if anyone else is having issues after the update? My swiping, typing, and scrolling are all messed up. The worst my keyboard, particularly with letters M, K, and O. It’s like the hit boxes are all off. Just typing this has been a pain. Often when texting randomly the screen will scroll all the way up through the convo when typing. Swiping through home screens is either actually swipe or click into an app. It’s so tedious it’s infuriating. My iPhone is an 11 for reference so not the newest but still. Is there anything I can do or anyone else having similar issues?

I have a medical condition that impacts blood flow to my organs, especially when I'm hot or changing my posture. This leads to sudden changes in heart rate and blood sugar, and in some cases fainting. Luckily, other people have been around during episodes that require hospitalization. But both I and my husband travel a lot for work, and I need a device that will detect when I've had a dangerous drop in heart rate or I've fainted. I was leaning towards getting a Series 8 apple watch so that it can call emergency services AND let EMS know about my specific medical conditions. Plus, I need to make sure my heart rate is staying consistent as I adjust my meds. Fainting episodes are also usually preceded by a drastic change in heart rate. However, I'm on the fence because:

• I need to wear it in the shower, as that's one of the places where I could faint. Most posts about using the Apple Watch in the shower are older. I want to make sure people have had luck wearing their newer models in the shower. Is this still possible with or without some sort of waterproof case?
• I'm not sure how accurate the Apple Watch heart rate measures are accurate. It would be great to get a heads up that I'm close to fainting.

Most of the traditional life alert systems aren't water proof either, and require a very expensive subscription. The Apple Watch seems like the best investment, but I want to make sure I can use the newer models in the shower, where I have the highest risk of fainting.

A few months before, I'd made 2 more additional purchases for iPhone SE 2020s, Black 64GB in the "Good" condition range, both for $200.

So, all in all, I've spent the better part of $640 in iPhone SEs. Coming back to pricing nearly a year later, I see that prices have dropped quite dramatically. I'm not exactly sure what I should be selling my Mint SE for these days, any ideas?

On Swappa, the cheapest one seems to be going for like $130 (tax/shipping included), now granted it's a Black 64GB model. I'm just wondering what I should be letting all of these models go for exactly.

Also, it being December and BF/CM residual, Christmas coming up, is it not an ideal time to be selling these ATM or should I wait until the beginning of February, perhaps??
