I have a Samsung TV with Bose 600 soundbar plugged into the TV’s eARC HDMI port. I have my Apple TV plugged in the TV’s HDMI 2 port and the volume goes through the Apple TV instead of the soundbar. In Apple TV audio settings I can choose TV speakers or HomePod mini for default audio or my Bose soundbar under temporary audio output. When I choose Bose, it still uses the TV speakers for audio and switches back to TV speakers in settings. How do I make Apple TV play through Soundbar? I need soundbar directly connected to TV because I am using HD antenna TV.

Hi, just bought an Apple Watch Series 9 for my mother - the cellular-enabled version.

She often goes out in her garden without her phone. This is outside the range of her iPhone's bluetooth and her home's wifi. If we want Fall Detection to be capable of calling 911 while she's in her garden, do we need to pay for a cellular plan? Or can the Apple Watch call 911 using its cellular capabilities alone?

Forgive me for this trivial question. I don’t want to use outlook for my mail and I would much prefer the mail app, but I can’t get notifications to work the same way that outlooks did. Is there a way to fix this?

What do I do to stop siri from popping up? It's like it's just popping up to listen.. while I'm not even talking. Siri interrupts me while I'm texting or on a voice call, it's getting in my way more frequently. It's so creepy.. because I never activated Siri ever since I got my iphone 3 years ago. How can I make it stop or remove Siri completely?

Hi, I've been using the iPhone SE (3rd generation) 128 GB Midnight as my daily driver for two months now in an OtterBox with a screen protector. Unfortunately, I saw a large scratch from the corner of the home button running towards the middle. When held against a light source, there's a faint crack visible underneath the glass, but you cannot feel it. The button is completely smooth to the touch.

I've had multiple SE 2 and SE 3 devices and never did this occur to me. My AppleCare eligibility ran out yesterday lmao. Would Apple replace this? Else, I'll just trade it in for a 12 if they'll ask 150 EUR for a repair.

Hello all, my dad is hard of hearing and uses headphones to listen while watching tv. MY question is, I know he can listen to Apple TV with his AirPods, but is there a way that he can listen with his AirPods (he uses noise canceling so he won't hear the background noise) and the rest of the family use the tvs speakers to watch tv? We love to watch as a family, but it's hard for him because he can't hear dialogue.

My parents are Boomers. We communicate in Gifs. Can’t find the option in iMessage. Please advise.

I recently got a new television. How do I set up my Apple TV 4K remote to turn on/off the new television like it did my old tv? As of now it’s only turning on/off the Apple TV box and the sound bar volume. Thank you.

I bought a new 1st gen SE back in 2017 or so which served me very well for many years.

By 2022 the battery had noticeably degraded so I sent it off to Apple for replacement. Instead of replacing the battery, they sent me back a replacement phone.

Within less than a year this replacement was far worse than my original phone. It would eat 20-30% of battery just checking news/weather for 20 minutes or so in the morning. It would crash and restart (or crash and lose all charge completely) at any point below about 30% battery health.

But the strange thing is that the battery health diagnostic was still very high throughout this year - around 90% or so.

Anyway I successfully argued for Apple to send me a replacement replacement. I've had this one for about four weeks and it's already doing the same things.

Have I been sent two duds in a row or is this just the 1st gen SE experience these days with newer software?

I figured I was buying a solid machine, but I didn’t know just how awesome the first gen silicon chip would be. If you’re interested in a new-ish MacBook but don’t know if M1 will be future proof, go for it.

I can run FL Studio (a DAW) in Windows 11 (parallels) while also running a demanding game, browser with multiple tabs open, and software like photoshop or Final Cut open in macOS all at the same time.

Blows my mind that all of this stuff can run simultaneously without even heating up the device. I have a 13-inch with 16gb RAM so im not sure how 8gb performs, but I imagine it’s still pretty impressive.

I’m so happy with this purchase, and basically just wanted to put it out there that M3 and M3 max chips probably aren’t necessary for 90% of people.

I just upgraded to an Apple Watch 9 from my 4. I used to have a screen protector on my 4 but took it off when I no longer cared about scratches. Is the screen on the 9 pretty durable?

Since the structure of icloud photos is completely flat, and putting photos into albums doesn't remove them from the general view, I'm not sure how I can possibly organize them without having a way to view all photos that aren't in any album. I know there's a trick with smart albums on mac, but I don't currently own a mac. I'm also a bit confused since this seems like the main use case, how could this not have an easy solution? Wouldn't everyone have this issue? Am I missing something?

Help. I keep blocking and they keep setting up new iClouds with gmail. Also they have my number somehow they sent an iMessage even though they were blocked. The messages are constant and harassing.

Ever since i got my apple watch i am unable to make my phone ring when my wakeup alarm from the Sleep section in the Health app rings. It just vibrates my watch which is not enough to wake me. My phone is always in silent mode and in sleep mode at night. Thanks!

I watch a lot of shows and movies on my iPhone. Recently I upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. While watching Netflix, and only Netflix (not Max, YouTube, etc) my screen will flash as if I've taken a screen grab. I have done a lot of troubleshooting to see why this flashing happens. It happens whether or not the phone is being charged, has a full charge, or is plugged into an outlet (with or without another electronic or appliance is also plugged in). Any ideas?

It’s especially visible when in settings on those gray bars. It’s like that on my 15 pro max and it’s also there on my 13 pro but on the other side. Anyone else has it? Is there a fix?

It was enough for me to use magsafe twice to show the ring imprint on the original silicone cover. I knew this, even though I thought it took months of use and not just two nights. Anyway, as long as it's just the cover I don't care, but the phone does! Do you know if over time it can leave its mark even in the back of the phone without a cover? Because in that case I would stop using it and i would make the return to Amazon. Thanks to those who help me!

I've gotten used to the AutoSleep app where you can manually do Lights Out when you go to sleep, and it knows when you got up. But the issue is, it shows 2 hours of deep sleep on the same night the Apple Sleep app shows 30 minutes. I read somewhere that the Apple Sleep is the one to be trusted, but it lacks good features. Not sure if I should ditch AutoSleep (a few years now). Anyway, what's the difference if you think you got 2 hours or 30 minutes of deep sleep? Seems odd to have accurate measurements of this.
