How do you fix this!!!! The most frustrating thing ever, waking up and my phone randomly just stops receiving ANY sort of notifications. I have all the settings turned on for everything, have restarted my phone and also updated to latest iOS 17, however nothing works.

The only notifications I do get is calls and texts, but apart from that, nothing. This is so fucking frustrating 😡😡😡

I’ve tried to have my PS4 audio output to my AirPods but I can’t seem to get it to work, although I have no problem with eARC’ing the PS4 to the HomePods. Is this possible? If so, what about using the AirPods as a microphone?

Edit: For additional context when switching to the PS4 input with connected AirPods no audio plays at all. I have to return to the Apple TV and disconnect the AirPods manually (taking them off doesn’t appear to work). Also, I had to turn eARC back on (disabled by a recent update perhaps?) and now I can no longer control my volume while the ps4 is the selected input

Bought a new iPhone 15, loving it. Few days later, I look down and am appalled that somehow it got scratched up, maybe by keys in pocket or something.

Take it to the Apple store, still under AppleCare insurance, and they said they wouldn't do the repair as it's only cosmetic damage. Scratches aren't the same as cracks.

Thankfully, the Apple employee was kind enough to be honest, and said that if I went home and smashed my iPhone, it would become eligible for repair. The surface scratches weren't enough to qualify.

For some people, scratches might seem like a small issue, but it really bothers me. So someone will be um... getting out a hammer later tonight...

I got a new phone (15) on Friday, before setting up the new phone I purchased more iCloud storage and made sure everything was backed up . I went looking for a picture today and saw that none of my photos from August and October transferred over and in July they cut off on the 21s . Is there anything I can do ? All of my baby’s newborn photos are gone and I am devastated.

I do a decent amount of treadmill running but always record it as an indoor walk. (too lazy to scroll for the indoor run I guess) My vo2 max is “below average”. Is it possible my vo2 be inaccurate by not specifying that I am running and not actually walking? Or does it not matter?

I feel like ever since I did the newest update any time I am reading/scrolling a page the website will randomly refresh and go back to the top of the page. Extremely frustrating when typing responses on message boards and things like that. Is it possible to turn this off or is it due to ads?

I’ve also noticed if I’m searching in google and click a link it takes me back to the top of the search page when I go back to google, any fixes for this as well?

Is there any way that we can create custom faces for the FIRST Apple Watch? Most apps seem to require newer watches…

My Apple TV stopped working a while ago. When I connect it to power it does one of three things. 1. The light flashes for a while. 2. The light appears to parcially flash once 3. Nothing. With either, it never displays anything. I tried to connect it to my PC to do a software reset but it never seams to appear in the iTunes app. Lmk if any of you has seen or experienced this problem. (I tried a new cable and different outlets).

If I get a cellular watch and use family setup, will the watch pair with my phone at all?

I want to use the same Apple ID so I can send and receive iMessages. I realize I’ll have to use a separate number for calls and SMS, but am I required to use a separate Apple ID? I want my fitness data, podcasts, etc on my phone synced with my watch. Is the only way to do this by pairing it in the traditional way?

I just bought a Macbook Pro M3 Max (Base with 14 CPU cores/30 core GPU cores).I'm upgrading from a M1 Max.

I haven't gotten the computer yet but I'm wondering if I jumped the gun with upgrading my Macbook Pro when I really didn't need to...

I'm curious what you guys think of my reasons for upgrading.

1. I want to try to maximize re-sale value of my Macbook. I don't want it to get too old and depreciate TOO much. It seems like depreciation happens a lot between 2-3 years so if I wait more it might depreciate faster. (But it's possible that now that the 2023 Max has already come out that I'm past that point?)
2. I got a killer deal from my University sale. I essentially got the Macbook Pro M3 Max (Base with 14 CPU cores/30 core GPU cores) for only $3026 compared to the normal retail of $3.7k with taxes.
3. On my M1 Max my battery health shows "Service Recommended" so the battery dies sooner. Not a major issue as it still holds a charge just fine. It just might not last as long. A replacement would cost me $250.
4. My M1 Max has a dead pixel and I worry about that getting worse.
5. The M1 Max still performs amazing and I don't lack any speed but it's nice that that M3 Max has a 25-30% performance lift. I use my computer for basic video editing, photoshop, lightroom, tons of tabs, etc but I don't do any super advanced heavy work.
6. I have the money to upgrade but I don't want to be frivolous and spend more than I need to by upgrading every 2 years or so. Maybe it's not worth maximizing resale value every 2 years and I should wait a little longer to upgrade to save money?

I am upgrading my machine from the 2015 mbp. and really have had a hard time deciphering what I need/want.

My 2015 was bought for architecture school so I was modeling and rendering and doing heavy processes daily and eventually double partitioned the drive for windows too. Now that I only use it for my side work, like adobe creative suite LR, photoshop, video work and occasionally some 'for fun' modeling /games the existing mb I have is really too slow to do much...however its also very old.

I was planning to get the M2 16 in for a while but then when the M3 was released I decided it made sense to jet wait get that most current version. But With the introduction of the M3, M3 pro, and M3 Max it made it all the more confusing.

I still need pretty heavy power for using lightroom and photoshop on large hi-res files, but also I kinda feel like that base M3 max will be heavy at 4.8 lbs. I didn't really think about that at first.

I've read that the M3 pro is not as good as the M2pro and essentially got a downgrade but is it worth it to get the M3Max...maybe i'm just overshooting this way too much.

Just ordered two phones from AT&T. When they came in they assigned the wrong number to the wrong phone. I have both phones. Is it possible to switch these e-sims before setting up the phone with I cloud and all of the Apple ID stuff?

I'm interested in getting an AW and itll be my first smart watch, just a question about them

If I were to only get the WiFi edition of one, would I still see push notifications that come in from my phone? Like getting texts or a notification from an app like Snapchat for instance? I assume as long as its paired to my phone and my phone is nearby and connected to it, this will work no matter where I'm at. Or do I need the cell model for that feature?

Basically I’m doing a mail in trade in thing, where Verizon sends me a box and it has my iPhone 13 in it, and another package that you’re meant to put your phone into, and I was wondering if instead of putting my iPhone 8 in there I put like an iPhone 6 or something, do they even check the packages to make sure it’s the right model? I really love my little iPhone 8 and they said I was not allowed to go back on the purchase without refunding the iPhone 13. I know this sounds like a scummy thing to do, but I love my modded iPhone 8 and this whole situation seems a little dumb. Sort of wish they’d just let me pay the 200 dollars that id be getting off for the trade in

This may sound like simple question but i recently got a clear case for my phone but the torch on the back when taking a photo will reflect off the walls of the case into the camera causing a glare in photos. What is the easiest way to stop this without getting rid of the case and without making it look out of place?

I am getting more into sleep health and want to better understand my sleep habits so I have been looking at the Apple Watch.

If I spend the money on an Apple Watch I want to also be able to use it all day but I am realistic in that I know it has to be charged too.

I am leaning towards the series 9 but see that it is good for about 18 hours and then needs about 1.5 to get a full charge.

What are your routines to use your watch all day but also be able to get good sleep data?

I want to buy an Iphone 14 Pro Max, specifically a 256gb model thats unlocked but can only seem to find used and refurbished ones online. Online way I found to purchase brand new is through a carrier. Is there no possible way for me to purchase a brand new unlocked model? thanks for the help in advance.

When I opened my phone today a blackscreen with red dots appeared. It flashed quickt but returned to my normal lockscreen.I tried to search the problem but it doesn’t show up. Also I tried to view black pictures or anything plain black but it’s just normal.

I’ve been interested in an Apple Watch for a while now, but I haven’t been keeping up with any electronic watch since the series 3. I looked at the help thread, but posts there seemed to go unanswered so I’m trying here.

I’ve been interested in the ultra, but it looked bulky and the features seemed a bit overkill for what I need, so the series 9 might be my go to. However, I’d like a 3rd party’s opinion.

I am fairly active being in the gym and on runs 6-7 days a week. I participate in Spartan events and plan on going to at least 4 or 5 next year. These include a fairly fast movement of the wrist in addition to copious amounts of mud and swimming through shallow ponds. I do hike and scuba/dive, but those happen once every 2-3 years

In terms of job, I’m a dentist and have had no issues wearing an analog watch at the job. Unless there’s any issue I’m not thinking of, that should be a non-factor

Based on this, should I get the series 9? Or do you think another one would be a better fit.

Hi there, after two month of Apple Watch Ultra 1 I’m evaluating to sell it for an AW8 or an AW9. Ultra as an amazing bulk design, it’s solid with the titanium case and the Shapire glass’s The battery is ok, but there are no big differences from a one day or a two days battery life (Garmin for example won in terms of battery). In my case the main problems of the ultra are the size, it is light but is not appropriate in some situations (for example in the office). Standard Apple Watch is a “transparent” watch, the people doesn’t see it when you wear on your wrist. Ultra is too showy…

Anyone in my situation? What you miss of your ultra?
