Having a screensaver set, but with the setting set to “No” for during music and podcasts (also audiobooks perhaps) the screensaver still comes on. The only solution is to have screensaver set to never.

I’ve had this issue with the first two generations of the 4K plus the HD version.

Is it fixed on the third generation or is it still broken ? I can’t imagine it’s a hardware issue more software issue so imagine it’s the same.

Has anyone bought apple care for the Apple TV 😂 what have you done with it? I bought it but felt stupid 5 mins after

I would just like to know if I buy a MagSafe case for my iPhone 11, can I use the case to stick my phone on the MagSafe chargers so I can use the standby mode? To my understanding the MagSafe chargers will also charge in qi mode on iPhone 11 so I'm not worried about the charging capabilities.

Hi everyone, back in 2021 I've made one of the dumbest purchases of my life and bought Samsung S21 (Exynos version). I wanted to hold on to it for another year but I just can't deal with this turd anymore so now I want to leave Android behind me and switch to iOS completely.

I recently bought iPhone SE 2022 for my moms birthday and she loves it and more importantly for this post, she always has better signal than I do on exactly the same carrier in exactly the same places. So that gives me hope that I'm not going to throw another 1k€ away on a phone, but I would love to hear honest feedback from iPhone 15 owners. Surely it can't be worse than this Exynos half-product I currently own!

So, my third Apple Watch in about 5 years has died. Series 8 lasted a year, series 3 and 5 both lasted 2 years. I was smart and bought AppleCare for the 8 this time, luckily.

All 3 watches have failed at the side button. Series 3 and 5 the button started to act like it was possessed randomly pressing. This one my side button has popped off.

I work in construction, around drywall, concrete dust and metal shavings a lot. I also am not shy about taking it to the beach and the ocean.

Seems like on the 8 there was aluminum oxidation and fine dust build up behind the button causing it to be hard to press for a while, then whatever pin that holds it on broke, maybe from having to press hard to activate.

I’m curious what other construction workers who use Apple Watch daily in tough environments experiences have been?

Does the ultra have a better sealed button? I was considering upgrading if it is sealed better.

Maybe I should buy an SE for work and just kinda use and abuse them for a a couple years and change it out..

I work in a hospital and I’ve seen multiple people wear their watches on their upper arms., almost near the bicep. How accurate is this for heart rate or steps or whatever? Could you wear it on your ankle and how accurate would that be?

I am having issues with call logs showing on two phones since the update. iCloud is off and I don’t use it on either phone. Why am I seeing the call logs?! This a known problem?

i’ve had the product red model for 2/1/2 years, i can safely say that i hate this particular model.

ever since i got the phone, it would never let me listen to my music at full volume, with and without earbuds, because my hearing is so goddamn important. i got told i can turn it off- i can’t. an important part of my life is music as i have a bad case of tinnitus and y’know, thats how i drown it out. but since apple doesnt want my ass to be deaf when i borderline already am, fuck my music altogether. so most of the time i don’t use earbuds. so i usually lay my phone down and listen that way, but unfortunately, if i press a volume button or the power button, it literally cuts off all speakers’ volumes a great amount, so i really can’t enjoy anything but ambience. i never mistreated it and it was a brand new phone not even refurbished, and it always fucks/ed me over.

I've had a 16" M2 MacBook Pro and replaced it with a 16" M3 MacBook Pro. I have a feeling that the speakers on the M3 unut are quiter (or at least with bassy) compared to those on the M2 unit. I know this might be just a wrong personal perception. So, hence this question. Has anyone noticed the same or is someone aware of any changes to the speakers used in the 16" M3's?

How does that work? I buy a cellular-capable watch from wherever, take it to the AT&T store, tell them I want to add service? Done through the Watch app when I initially set it up for use?

I’ve never bought a cellular-enabled device anywhere but the carrier’s website or store. We are getting an SE2 for my 11yo.

Hello, I have a particularly weird issue, I've had to repair my old 12" 2015 Macbook, replaced the battery but also had to replace the keyboard, Apple quoted me 400 Euro, but I managed to source both of the parts for less than 120 Euro and replace it myself.

Everything went well until I noticed that the Left Shift, Control, Option keys are recognized as constantly actuated, I used Karabiner to disable these keys and it worked perfectly, all of the other keys are unaffected, just these.

Further digging into this issue led me to find out that I was sold a 2016 12" keyboard, and even though it fits the specification, it is slightly different in its logic (thanks, Apple, very consumer friendly!), but this also means that the magnetic sensor for the keyboard and screen line up in a weird way, making sleep behave weird.

If I close the macbook it wakes from sleep, then after some time goes back to sleep, then wakes again ad nauseum until it is drained.

I've remedied this by shutting down the macbook when not in use to conserve battery, which works, but isn't always ideal when you need it in a pinch.

I could continue to use it this way, but I was wondering if it's possible to mitigate this a bit more, and manually put the laptop to sleep and wake it with the keyboard/touchpad.

is there an app that would serve as a widget (or a builder for one) to show Calendar events together with selected Reminders list?

Cause atm with only Apple widgets I have to stack up 2-3 and swipe between them. Would love to have just one widget instead.

I noticed when I’m watching a video on the YouTube app, if I don’t touch the screen for 2 minutes my screen locks. I searched for how to fix this and apparently the only answer is to change the screen timeout setting which I’m not going to do. Is that correct?

On android this never happened to me, if I was watching a video it would ignore the timeout and keep the screen on. Only once the video ends does the timeout timer start. Is there really not a similar function for ios?

Looking to buy a laptop for studying, web browsing, light video editing and some light gaming maybe too. I'm thinking of buying one of these laptops. I can get a Macbook Pro m1 for £750-£800ish in excellent condition or a brand new M2 Air for £1050. The Air is quite a bit more expensive though for me. Which one should I get?

So I recently purchased an iPhone, my brother also had an iPhone. He switched back to android but when I try to text him it still wants to send messages as iMessage. I have deleted his number, deleted our messages, blocked him, had him turn his old iPhone on and disable iMessages from his iPhone. So every time I text him I have to turn off iMessages to send him a text. Then turn it back on after I send the text.

Hey I just got a base iPhone 14 and am looking for a screen protector. I’m looking for one with full coverage and one of those alignment tool things. I’ve seen one from JETech but it doesn’t seem to have the best reviews. Spigen seems great but the one for iPhone 14 isn’t full coverage, anyone know whether using the one for the iPhone 14 pro on the base could still work?

it started a month or two ago like it could be at like 10 then it will jump to 12-15 etc why is this? is it because i over charge it? spend too much time on it? is it the batteries health? or do i need a new battery?

So I’ve been facing this issue for about a month now. Basically whenever I switch my wallpaper to one that I haven’t used in a long time, the Home Screen automatically unblurs in spite of the wallpaper setting being set to blur. I have to unblur and reblur the Home Screen wallpaper. Same issue when my phone changes wallpaper due to focus mode. Anyone facing the same issue?
