Hi all,

I've been having a problem with my apple tv for the past few days. Certain apps basically don't work: Max has audio but no video and when I try to use Disney+ I get an HDCP issue error message. On AppleTV Plus or Hulu every now and then the video will cut out for a few seconds and then the "dolby vision" and "dolby audio" pop-up will appear and everything will go back to normal. Does anyone know how to fix these issues? My google-fu is failing me.

My apple tv is updated to tvOS 17.1 and is plugged directly into a LG B9 tv.

Its a secondhand phone had for few months no problems until now. done 3 times now

Anyone else? The setting is on but I have never gotten the notification.

Made sure to turn off and on both my watch and phone. I have repaired them as well.

It is bonkers that, in Files, "scan" is not an icon but is invisible on a black/white folder page and you have to magically know to hold your finger down on a blank spot to scan a multipage document!!

I wasted two hours stupidly thinking I could scan a multipage document into Notes and export it as a PDF. Nope. Notes is useless for this despite using the same scanning engine in the OS.

Instead, you have open Files, make a new folder, hold down your finger, choose scan, but immediately turn off Auto scan (super buggy), so you scan manually. Then, page by page finish it. Then save the multi pages you just scanned as one PDF to that folder. Even then, I am not entirely sure how I share the link to that folder via email to the person who needs to read the document!

If this was just an icon, in any iOS program (Notes, Files, whatever) which mean “scan one or more pages and safe it”, it sure would be way better!

Does anyone else have this problem? I had an AW4 before with 10.0.1 on it (battery health about 65%) and I could still go a full day with it. Just got a AW5 secondhand with 83% battery health that I now updated to 10.1.1. The first half an hour it maybe drained like 5% or so. Then I didn’t use it (everything like background app refresh, always on display etc is turned off also). Checked on it after about an hour or so and it had drained from 96% down to 76% without me using it. Used it for like 5 mins and it came down to 74%. Restarted it and it was down to 72% while being off? Wtf is happening with this update? Didn’t have this issue with the 10.0.1 update at all. Anyone who can relate?

The last couple of weeks I’ve noticed that the alarm on my watch to wake up, doesn’t go off with sound sometimes. Like its only the haptics, even though im not in silent mode and the volume is cranked to max (because i thought that might be the problem at first). And its inconsistent because some days it does go off with sound, but usually it doesnt.(and i check every night to make sure its not in silent mode) Any idea why this could be? Please let me know

What’s the best tips or hidden, helpful features on iPhone that you know of? Currently using an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Also, any neat tweaks you use!

I do heavy Photoshop / Illustrator work, video editing (4K video generally), and After Effects. These days though, I really only do this kind of work for freelance jobs which come up here and there throughout the year. At my day job I am more of a creative manager / ADHD multitasker / builder of presentations and don't often get into those apps much anymore.

Even though I don't do those freelance jobs every single day anymore, my 2019 i9 with 64gb RAM is no longer able to keep up when I do get them. I am curious which (over the top) configuration would work better for me. Rendering speed will be nice, but since I don't do that every single day, I am more looking for a machine that can be just as useful for day to day use as it can for the heavy jobs.

The configuration options I'm reviewing are:

M3 Max 16-Core | 64GB RAM

M3 Max 14-Core | 96GB Ram

M3 Pro 12-Core | 36GB RAM (for $1k less - though I'm inclined to round up and get a more future-proof machine)

In iOS messages, I know you can disable alerts/notifications for specific senders (or group conversations), but the number of unread messages from them still shows up in the badge for the app. Is there any way to hide the unread message count just for that specific sender (or group conversation)?

As much as we pay for this iPhone 15 Pro Max why can't they include a color matching cable instead of this ugly white one? It looks terrible to me connected to my 15PM in white.

I have a 15pro and noticed that there was some dust and stuff on the lens. I twisted the soft part on my hoodie into a small ball and wiped my lens moderately hard. ive done it a couple of times now but Is this damaging to the lens?

Anyone know why my volume keeps increasing by itself even if I turn it down? No case or stuck buttons. On a 15 pro max 17.1.1

Iphone 14 pro, latest iOS. Ive begun to constantly get the "invisible keyboard" glitch, where when you click on search (or some other things that bring up the keyboard) the keyboard is just invisible. Ive searched around this subreddit some and online and it seems to be a common issue since iOS 15 or so

The main "fixes" for it seem to be to just restart your device, but that isnt really a fix, since it seems to come back almost immediately. The fastest "fix" ive found is just closing and opening my search until the keyboard comes back, but again, not really a fix. Ive also made sure to close unused programs/windows, but that doesnt seem to help at all

Does anyone know of any actual fixes to this?

I have an apple TV (4k, latest as of Nov 2023) and recently noticed some issues with the ATV controller losing connection every so often. I have also been looking into using the ATV as a remote gaming desktop using Steam Link / Moonlight and unfortunately as well the bluetooth connection is far too unreliable to use any of the game controllers I have lying about here (a couple of Playstation dual shock 4 and an 8bitdo Pro+) they are unresponsive and disconnect within 30 seconds of connecting to the ATV, when sat on the couch.

Through some trial and error I've isolated the issue to be the ATV bluetooth range being weak, pairing the DS4s with a Nintendo Switch via 8bitdo adapter next to the ATV they work fine, same with the 8bitdo controller. Moving closer to the ATV (about 2 metres, 5 feet or so) also has the controllers work absolutely fine. But from our normal sitting position (3 metres, 10 feet) the controllers lose connection to the ATV. These all work fine paired with the Switch. All controllers are charged. I've tried power cycling the ATV, reboot etc.

There has been some talk about interference potentially being an issue. Other BT/wifi/electronic devices near the ATV are the Nintendo Switch, LG TV, Samsung TV sound bar, a network switch for all these to be connected via ethernet.

So now I'm asking what else can I try? It's not feasible to rearrange furniture or the living room layout and the ATV we've tried in a few different places on the TV console, it just can't come closer to where we sit.

In a couple of days, I can renew my contract. And I’m on the fence which model I should get. I’m on a iPhone 13 Pro now and had a iPhone 11 Pro before this. I’m leaning to the Pro because bending gate but I really would like the new camera option.

So people with a iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max can you tell me why you did choose this model and how it is working out. Are you happy? Should you got the other model? Things like that. It would really help me out.
