I'm having problem triggering Siri when I have the Apple Watch, my HomePod mini and my iPhone all together. I'll say "Hey Siri" and I'll see all three devices come on, and then all three devices turn off. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does happen, it happens consistently. I can say 'Hey Siri' 3 or 4 times in a row and all 3 pick and then all three stop, I assume thinking one of the other devices have it.

Another problem I had today was that I have the Apple Watch up to my mouth and I said Hey Siri and the watch did not respond. Then I say Hey Siri again the phone in my pocket says "Uh huh?"

I recently got myself an iPhone 15 Pro, coming from the 14 Pro Max. I love how light and portable the phone is, with addition to USB-C, Action Button, 8GBs of Ram, and Good Camera.

Besides the good stuff, I feel that we have hit a slow incline of improvements and excitement starting from the iPhone 6, IMHO.

I upgrade every year based on my undying love with tech, so that might be why I feel underwhelmed, but I just don't feel that we can ever hit that WOW factor anymore.

My first excitement was upgrading from the iPhone 3GS to 5. That was huge. And then as time goes, I lost that excitement factor as I upgrade from the 6 to 7, 8 Plus to 13 Pro, 14 PM to 15 Pro.

I may be going crazy, but I was thinking of returning my iPhone 15 Pro and get the iPhone 13 or 14 regular and wait for whenever the iPhone gets a major overhaul with its hardware. That way I can get that feeling of excitement again.

Am I the only one who is thinking this? Besides that, I am very happy with my iPhone 15 Pro, just not as excited as I was anymore.

This drives me crazy because I used to be able to say "Set alarm in XX minutes " and New alarm was created. After OS update AW automatically defaults to a Timer not Alarm. Is there a workaround to fix this ?

I just picked up the 15 Pro Max and have been running into quality issues with the front camera, see (this thread) from u/heavensomething

I spoke to a senior advisor tonight and this is a software issue causing some post-capture compression and processing that they’re aware of and working to create a fix for. There isn’t a real work-around for it at the moment, but the advisor seemed to think it wouldn’t be a crazy wait for a patch/software update that will address it.

She confirmed it’s a software issue and not a hardware issue, so there’s not much to do, but wait for an update.

Can someone please help explain how I can make a complete system/drive image of an iPhone? I understand data within the image may be encrypted, but I don't need to read the files, just need an ability to copy and restore.

Basically I'm going t to perform some actions to the phone which may lead to data loss, so I want a true complete back-up which can be re-imaged onto the phone if something goes wrong.

iTunes backup is no good as I understand they exclude certain items, and most 3rd party iPhone backup/extractor seems to be dependent on iTunes as well?

TLDR my wrist detection isn't functional on my series 6, curious if it's worth bringing to Apple for a solution or if I should just bite the bullet on getting a new one and forget about this one.

I have a stainless steel series 6 that I bought new in 2020. I did not purchase apple care or anything like that for it but it's insured by Verizon for what that's worth.

The wrist detection has been functional for less than half the time I've owned it. At first I was just entering my passcode multiple times a day but I got frustrated because I kept missing calls and texts so instead I just removed the passcode and had it mirror every notification from my phone so it would vibrate.

The problem is that I started a new job today and had to download a profile to my phone which transferred to my watch as well. The profile forces me to have a passcode on my watch so the whole system that was working for me is no longer possible. I have tried literally everything to fix it and nothing has worked, I'm assuming it's a hardware issue. Again, this has been a problem for at least two years at this point.

I wasn't wanting to get a replacement watch because other than this problem, it's been great. I'm also making monthly Apple Card installments on my 15 pro (and can't afford to buy another outright) and would rather not make another installment purchase for another watch. I have ADHD and my watch has helped me so much, like time management obviously and also reading and responding to notifications immediately instead of not seeing them for potentially days on end. So what I'm saying is that not having a watch just isn't an option for me.

My question is, do you guys think this might be something covered under a warranty? Does my watch even still have a warranty at all considering it's 3 years old? Am I just being a dork by trying to prolong its life and put off buying a new one? I should have just brought it in when the problem first began 🙃

Is it normal to charge the Apple Watch series 0 every night?

I am happy with the camera performance of iphone 15 pro max so far. However, when i try to post them on instagram the quality ( resolution, brightness, saturation, etc) becomes terrible. I tried to adjust uploading settings but nothing worked.

Has anyone bought the 15 pro max and returned it and got the 15 pro? I can’t decide.

Long story short, I bought an unlocked Iphone 15 Pro Max from Apple (paid in full) and gifted it to my friend. Yesterday suddenly the phone IMEI shows that it is blacklisted by Bell Mobility. The weird part is that I am the first owner of the phone and the phone was only used by my friend. This was purchased from Apple officially. My friend who was using the phone used FIDO which is not even Bell Mobility. I went to Apple store and they said they cannot do anything. FIDO (my provider) says this phone cannot be used in North America ever as it it blacklisted.

What are my solutions? And any idea what and why this happened?

I used to be able to switch faces easily by swiping left or right on my watch. With the newest update, I can’t do that anymore and have to change the watch face from my iPhone. Is there a way to change the face directly from the watch?

Hi! I accidentally deleted hundreds of pictures on my phone/iCloud to free up storage. It's been months and the photos are no longer in my recently deleted folder. They are still on my old phone when I charge it back up. How do I transfer these from the old phone to iCloud or google photo? I'm worried if I log in or plug into my MacBook the old phone will be updated with the latest iCloud and delete the photos off my old phone. Is it possible to recover the deleted pics via my old phone that still has them? Thanks!

I'm a PC guy, kid is a Mac user. Grandparents had bought one for them and then 3 years later she watered it (on accident, at college). So I'm looking at Craigslist and other places to replace it but do I need to check if it's stolen? I can look at the "my computer" equivalent to make sure the specs match. But is there anything else I should look at to make sure it's good?

Is it me or the magic mouse is scratched so easily? My mouse is just sitting on my desk. Is there any possible way to remove the scratches and make it even?

I have an iPhone and my boyfriend has a Samsung. I was in our text messages and sent him a picture of the food I was eating. My boyfriend called me and asked me “who’s Adam?” And I was so confused because I don’t know an Adam. My boyfriend told me that he received my food picture in a text from me, and then 43 minutes later he received the same picture from a different number. The phone number had the same area code but is not a number that I have in my contacts. When my boyfriend received the photo is came from someone named “Adam”. My boyfriend is surprises as to why he would have this number saved in his phone since he also does not know any Adams. Is this a hacking situation? What is happening?

I know people say to order one size down. I have a size 7 solo loop that feels a bit loose. When I use the print out measuring tool, and wrap it tightly without overly squeezing, I get right at the end of 6. Should I order a size 6 braided solo loop? Or 1 size down, to size 5?

I carry 2 iPhones daily, an iPhone 14 Pro Max for personal use and an iPhone 12 provided by my work. I recently upgraded both devices to iOS 17.

Ever since the upgrade, whenever I stack both phones together either on my desk or in my pocket, I get an "iPhone Connected" black banner on the top of each phone. The banner isn't easy to swipe away or close and it doesn't provide any context on why it's there. It also hangs around in the Dynamic Island on my 14 Pro Max. I've been doing some searching on this for weeks and finally came across this post today that solved the issue:

Apparently this is because of the new AirDrop feature that allows for starting AirDrop sharing by bringing 2 devices together. You would never see this banner unless you stack your phone on top of another iPhone, so having 2 iPhones made me encounter this issue more often.

This can be disabled by going to Settings > General > AirDrop > and turn off Start Sharing By Bringing Devices Together

Once I turned that setting off the issue is resolved and the banners are no longer displaying.

What are some things you wish apple did better on iPhones, or some things you prefer that Samsung does better than Apple?

I just bought an iPhone 14 regular 128gb blue from online and I plan to pick it up from the Apple Store this weekend.

Would my card get charged when placing an order or does it go through once I pick it up physically?

I just got a watch I know my papa is gonna be interested when I go home. I got him an apple tablet and he loves it. So can I get him an Apple Watch and pair it to the tablet? Or can I get him one just to use on its own? Because he would get a lot of use out of the oxygen meter and the ecg because he has irregular heart rhythm and wears an oxygen meter on his finger most the time.
