I’m getting an iPhone 15 Pro Hongkong variant from Dubai which has two physical sims. I want to know if I can use it with my Apple Watch Series 7 which I bought in India? As the watch only has esim option I’m confused if it would be compatible with the HK iphone.

So today I got an alert from my phone while at work. I had my phone set for some emergency alerts to bypass my Do Not Disturb. It was a crash detection alert from my older brothers phone, this concerned me, but I considered it might be a false alarm because there was no other notifications or anything and I didn’t do anything since I was in the middle of work. Moments later, I get the same alert from my younger brothers phone, and I knew something was up since I knew they were probably driving together. Turns out, they had rolled their truck 3 times from the left lane of the freeway, off the right side of the road. They are okay, but I am grateful for this iPhone feature as it got the emergency services there incredibly fast and my parents were also alerted and on the scene in no time.

Thought I’d share this story because if you’re looking at that feature and setting on your phone wondering “does this even work?” Or “do I really want to notify everyone if I crash” Turn it on. Also make it so you can get that notification when you need to.

My family has used out iPhones and Find My to stay connected and keep each other safe. Once when I was studying abroad I had to take a cab from the airport to the school, and the taxi driver was sketchy. I’m in another country and don’t know anyone, so what do I do? Have my dad watch my location in real time from the other side of the world. He’s also helped me with finding my way around with the same method.

Is there a function you use more often than you thought you would need to on your iPhone? Or maybe a time that it’s helped in an emergency?

Will it be good upgrade?

Today, after nearly seven years, my iphone 6s finally gave up on me. I don't know if it's luck or my care, but I never had any issues with the charging lasting or with any lagging. Compared to new models that my family members have, my 6s is not noticeably slower, and I've never repaired anything other than getting a new screen.

Only a few months ago, the home button stopped functioned (touch id is still fine), but with assistive touch, it was only a minor inconvenience. However today, the phone started to glitch and the whole middle column section of the screen stopped responding to touch. Coupled with the broken home button (prevents forced shutdown), I'm pretty sure it's beyond repair, but after all, seven years is a long time when others seem to go through phones every couple of years.

Because everyone I know seems surprised at the longevity of my 6s at it's quality of performance, I wonder how much time can an iPhone really endure if treated with care but still used everyday. What do you all think?

My partner’s iphone had a green screen issue that Apple customer service has since resolved. However, he hadn’t backed up anything on iCloud and the phone has been reset and all data wiped off. Problem is, eSIM got deleted too. Does anybody know how to get the sSIM again?

So I have found an old IPhone of mine and there’s things on the phone that I want to gain access to. But unfortunately the entire top half of the touch screen doesn’t work and the Wi-Fi on the phone was switched off (so I can’t go into control centre and even though I can go into the Wi-Fi setting, I can click on it to actually turn on)

Is there any other ways you guys know of turning on the Wi-Fi or is it a lost cause lmao?

So I was thinking, as I was going through the ringtones they added to iOS 17, I noticed just how amazing the Taptic Engine is, I already knew this, but it just blew me away how it changed intensity in milliseconds to match lighter notes or louder notes in the tune it played. Some felt like tiny taps while louder notes gave a harder vibration.

What if Apple made it so that certain movie content or tv show content could take advantage of the Taptic Engine, so that in various parts throughout the movie, the Taptic Engine kicks in for certain effects in the movie or show, say an explosion happens it could give a hard vibration that slowly fades away, things of that nature. I think it would add another way to make content streaming that much more immersive on iPhones! Kinda like how video games take advantage of vibration motors in controllers for certain effects. Except it would be far better than any controller motor since the Taptic Engine is so precise. I think this would be an amazing addition to iOS and an exclusive feature! As someone who watches all their Shows and Movies on just my iPhone, I’d love that! 4k Dolby Vision HDR movie with Taptic Engine Input!

So, I've updated to watchOS 10.1 from version 9.. I've got a heart rate complication on my face and it's simply always outdated. It will show a reading from like 15 minutes ago, even though there's more recent readings. I have to tap on it to open up the heart rate app and close it again for the complication to refresh and show the most recent reading. It's very apparent after a workout, as I could see the HR falling in 'real time'. Not anymore. It just shows some value from 10 minutes ago or so.

The time between refreshes varies, but it sometimes shows a reading from over 30 minutes ago, other times it does actually show the most recent one, but that's pretty rare.

I tried restarting the watch, checking background app refresh (even turning it off and on for HR), changing faces.. still no luck.

I'm wondering, is this happening to anyone else? I tried searching for the issue online, but found very little info. Most of it from years ago.

Oh, and it's a series 8.

Me iPhone 15 pro. I cannot figure out for the life of me how to turn off this notification and it’s driving me crazy. I’m a big boy. I can control my own volume. I upgraded from an 11 and love everything except this and the glitchy camera. Plz help thx

I really want to try an iPhone, most of my friends have one and they kept begging to get one, however I'm broke and my parents don't let me get a job, my friends want me to get because they want me to face time them, my phone has acting up lately a lot.

For the last two weeks I have had no notifications on my watch from any app owned by meta. So WhatsApp, Facebook messenger or instagram. The issues started on my series 6 watch and as I was upgrading I assumed it would be fine when I got the new one.

I have a series 8 watch now and still nothing. I’ve been through all the settings with Apple support but they can’t seem to find a solution. My watch is mirroring my phone for notifications and the notifications are turned on in the individual apps.

About three weeks ago all the above apps suddenly started making sounds despite all of them being turned off and my phone being on silent. So I went to each app to make sure they were silent and since then I’ve had nothing.

Any help please 🙏🏻

Kind of bummed out as Snoopy isn’t an option in my watch face gallery. Not sure why.

Apple TV 4K 128gb. Hard wired. Have tried every which way under the sun but no dice. Can’t get this “feature” they are overhyping to work even once.

Just wanted to try it. Doubt it’ll be used lots as convenience of a iPhone or even an iPad is unmatched but .. for the sake of trying things out.

Anyone else get this to work? I have a 14 Pro and wife has a 12 and neither worked.

My theory is

People buy it because it “beginner friendly” like it always IPhone 7,8,9,12 or 12s,13s etc than Android confusing line up of names and products like the Fold samasung

And the interface also good for beginner “to the point its childly easy to navigate and feel”

For those who ordered custom iMacs or other apple products did your products arrive faster than the estimated..because i'm kinda way too giddy over my iMac but according to the order it might take 3-4 weeks.

Long-term Apple user here (Mac, iPhone, iPad), was curious about the watch. I found a nice deal yesterday for a Series 9, bought it, unboxed. Started to pair it to my iPhone 8, the pairing requires iOS 17 🤦‍♂️

Going to return it tomorrow, it has been fun reading ya all!

I've recently bought a m3 pro base model, but the machine never seems to use all the available ram, it starts using lots of swap before reaching 16GBs, never seem it using more than 16GiB
is it using for video memory? or what 🤔

My lost/stolen iPhone SE keeps on notifiying my iPad that it was "just seen," yet I don't even have the iPhone with me, please help.

I'll be connecting over wifi. Currently live in an apartment without the best coverage - should be okay at the tv but our current Xiaomi streamer gets awful speeds (phone does better) and our Samsung TV doesn't do much better. 4K netflix and Youtube is fine but Plex streaming high bitrate 4K files is a gamble. In general there's a lot of wifi congestion in our area.

I don't have the option of running an ethernet cable. I was thinking of grabbing some 6e routers (I'd assumed the Apple TV supported 6e) but have discovered since that it doesn't. I assume that the 4th gen Apple TV will support 6e - is it worth waiting? Will it actually make a difference? I saw some speed tests with wifi 6 vs 6e on the firestick 4k Max but they didn't really show a difference in speeds.

As a side question, has anyone with a purely wifi Apple TV faced problems with connectivity?

Edit to add: aside from Plex, I also want to use the Apple TV for Steam Link gaming... I hear that both Plex and Steam have stutter issues for some, which is worrying. How big of a deal is this really?

Why do I suddenly have to type in a passcode on my AWU1? I never turned on passcode. my complications won’t show updated information until after I type in the passcode, which is mildly annoying. It won’t allow me to select “turn passcode off” Any ideas? I’m on the latest update on my watch and phone
