Hi guys, since I've updated my SE to iOS 17.1.1I'm having all kinds of performance issues: lags, freezes, crashes, when I receive calls sometimes the screens becomes greyed out and I can't answer the call, sometimes both the home button and the block button don't work. Is someone else experiencing this? Is there any way to fix it? Thank you!

I have fiber internet at my home and all of my devices can connect with no problem (Roku, Dell laptops, Samsung phones) EXCEPT for 3 iPhones. They all show as connected to the wifi but "connected without internet." Whattttt gives and how do I fix this? I have tried all the tips and tricks found using a Google search, such as restart phone, turn wifi off then back on, reboot router, etc. The 3 iPhones are all different models, newest being an iPhone 13, but have the same identical problem.

I've browsed countless of threads with recommendations for apps, but I would like some inspiration for how to get the most out of my watch.

Using it for sleep tracking, notifications and so on is a given, but maybe you guys could share you "daily routine"? Topics like most used apps, set goal in health, clever usage of third party apps and so on are more than welcomed.

Have an Apple TV 4K (current gen Ethernet model) connected to a Samsung QN90B which is in turn connected to home theatre AV via HDMI ARC. When I enable Atmos via the TV menu, there is a lag in the sound of ~1 second which is unbearable. I thought it was the AV at first but even if I direct the sound out of the TV speakers the same lag persists. If I use the TV’s built-in apps there is no lag. If I disable Atmos there is no lag. Anyone know how to get rid of this lag so that I can enjoy Atmos via the Apple TV?

Yes. I know the 3rd Gen Apple TV MD199LL/A is old. I know it won't do YouTube nor can it be updated. Does anyone have a list of what it WILL do whether a TV is smart or not?

Can someone direct me to specific current resources with appropriate info please?

My iPhone is currently in for repair for a few days. I've been using an old iPhone 8 I have lying around in the meantime, but the ultra isn't able to pair as the phone can't have ios17. As my main phone is having a whole new rear system and I can't pair it with my spare I was full expecting to loose my activity data for the period while my phone is in for repair.

To my surprise, after a few days, my activity data has suddenly updated after charging the watch this morning. Checking health on my iPad and everything has synced - activity rings, workouts - everything is there except sleep. Activities have even ended up on strava (presumably via the iPhone 8 unless some sort of witchcraft has gone down)

It's gone against everything I had read beforehand, where I honestly believed that I would most likely loose all my data and have to repair with the phone once I got it back. I'm posting this mostly to figure out how this has happened - if its a new feature in watch os10 or something - but also so those in a similar situation with a phone in for repair know this is possible because everything I had read suggested not!

Which AW model has the most pure gold color? I'm mainly thinking about the stainless steel versions but doesn't really matter. I don't want bronze/rose gold etc. As close to yellow gold as possible.

Hi there, Yesterday I was trying to sync some photos from my iPhone to my Mac and it kept saying that the iPhone was locked, even if it wasn’t. To prevent any further issue, I completely disabled the passcode and FaceID and it worked. After that I have reset my passcode to my old one and locked the phone before setting up Face ID again. But now, for some reason, the phone isn’t recognizing the new passcode. I may have mistyped it when I was setting it back, I assume. I have tried the passcode (and a few combinations considering I might have mistyped when setting) for 9 times until now. So I have stopped trying because I’ve read that the 10th time would completely lock the phone. Is there any way to keep trying combinations after the 10th attempt without having to reset the phone? Even if I have to wait longer and longer, I know eventually I will get it right.

Some information that might help:

1. I have my Apple ID password and the device registered to it.
2. I have other 4 devices (Watch Ultra, MacBook iPad and other iPhone also registered to the same Apple ID).
3. I don’t have an iCloud backup. My last backup was a local one back in February.
4. entering the ‘old password’ isn’t an option because after setting it back, I actually didn’t have any passcode.
5. Running ios 17 and MacOS Ventura.

I’m desperate here because I have some vacation pictures and family files that I’d be completely devastated to lose.

Any advice?

I can't decide which one to take. The 14 plus will be priced (700 euros) like the 14 pro but unused. (14 pro used).

I like the 120 Hz on the screen, but I understand I will only see them in the main menu. The 13 pro I haven't looked at the price, but there are likely bargains to be had, just assume all of them will be used phones. In addition I like big phones (14 plus) but this adds a big chance of me dropping it. And my hands aren't particularly straight as it is.

Whats the point in having apple TV if I have to rent the good movies either way? If the newer movies were included like with disney plus then I wouldn’t mind the mid TV shows so much but since there u still have to rent it seems like a total scam to pay for a subscription.

I have Netflix premium plan. I tried everything resetting the Apple TV, reinstalling Netflix app. Video settings ..nothing works to make the video look loke 1080p, it's always blurry playing 4k movies.

If I play HD movies on Netflix then there is no issue.

Also no issues with other apps like HBO, Prime Videos, Disney ..all of them can play 4k movies good on 1080p projector.

I plugged in Apple TV to my 4k TV and everything works fine including Netflix 4k movies.

Any solution, please help.

Hi! A very good friend of mine lives in Belgium. I would like to get him an Apple Watch for Christmas. Unfortunately, her provider Proximus does not support eSIM. However, when I last checked I learned that there are countries where a watch WITHOUT an iPhone can make emergency calls (equivalent to 911) even without a SIM as long as it is cellular. Does anyone know if Belgium is one of these countries?

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max lying horizontally on a MagSafe charger. In this position it permanently shows the time. However, sometimes I notice in the morning that the display has been deactivated. The setting under StandBy - Deactivate display is definitely set to "Never". What could be the problem that the display is sometimes deactivated?

So after years of being an Android fan, I finally decided to move to an iPhone 15. There were a couple of features that Samsung didn’t have, so I switched.

To my annoyance, I find out that the iPhone has one basic feature that is missing and I cannot believe that people haven’t said anything about it. Android users will understand what I am saying, as you read this post.

The most annoying thing about the iPhone experience is that when you are on a phone call, the notifications are not muted !!!!!!! This has completely blown my mind!!

iPhone has features/ settings to help you avoid loud noises in your surrounding or whilst listening to music at high volumes via headphones, but nothing to solve my issue - notifications when you are on a call!

So when I am on a call, I get sms’s or emails or any number of notifications and they all come straight to my ear, almost deafening me. It’s extremely loud and apparently there is no way to stop it! This never ever happened to me when I used a Samsung. Furthermore, the notification volume is linked to the ringer volume, this is sooo stupid!

Hi, I’m having a weird problem with my camera where it won't focus properly. It can focus well on a closed shot, but on a normal shot, it just a blurry mess. Are there any solutions to this issue? (iPhone XS)

I am very sick of all the pointless phone calls where you don’t even end up with the details in writing. People just expect you to pick-up or respond in a moments notice no matter what you’re doing or where you are. I’d rather just cut the feature entirely.

I have wondered if I should update my Apple Watch 6 to Ultra 2 on some time since some people at least say here that the 5 mm have felt big difference. I noticed also from the specs that screen is 3x brighter in nits what sounds huge. The most what I am keen about is also the bigger battery, but not sure if that is worth the update because of that only.

So, if here is anybody who have updated from series 6 to Ultra 2, how has been your experience? Is that display much better in real life? Is it hard to sleep when watch is on your hand at night? Is brightness giving more value to you? What other good things and bad things you have seen, have you been happy with your update, would you do it again with your current knowledge?

I am really bored so any good suggestions will make my day , thank youuuu ✌️

A month ago, I lost the ability to save as PDF through the ⌘+P command. It will no longer show me the mini pop-up to save the pdf to my files - only buffers on the print page as "Saving" (shown below). Any tips?

I sound so old and dumb for asking this lol.

After I got the update (17.1.1) I can’t double click a word to highlight it. It doesn’t let me highlight so if I want to delete a word it makes me use the delete button to manually delete the word letter by letter. Pls help it’s so fucking annoying and it’s driving me insane

I am looking for a good, affordable phone case for the IPhone 15 plus. Specifically one that I can add a custom photo to be the outside of the case.

Is there a way to download specific podcast episodes to your Apple Watch?

Mine seems to only load the last x amount of unplayed episodes whereas I want to keep at least 10 episodes of each podcast downloaded regardless of whether I’ve listened to them already.

Can’t seem to figure out how to do that if anyone has any solutions.
