Since the holidays are coming up, I was wondering if Apple makes discounts on their gift cards around this time of year since I was really hoping to go on a shopping spree on Apple TV.

I'm thinking of getting an Apple TV and I want to know if I can make a profile without an Apple ID signed in.

How do I transfer it to my Camara roll.

Hi!

I am a first time parent. And I have a spare Apple Watch. Is it okay if I use Apple Watch for baby health monitoring? Like specially to track baby's sleep quality and heart rate at night?

Anyone tried this before?

TIA!

I’m just curious if it’s because there was a particular app or a workflow that motivated you to get a MacBook? Or just the Apple ecosystem?

Genuinely just curious.

Ideally I’d like to only have the watch detect falls, be used via Siri to call out or receive calls, and show the clock. Seems like this device may be too complicated for Grandma.

When I want to use them for a workout or just listen to something from the watch I have to pair them every time. No issues connecting to my iPhone or iPad. Any thoughts?

None of the apps in the folder have notification badges but the folder as a whole does. I can't figure out how to clear it

I just set up my new 15 Pro Max and after everything was copied over from my old phone, it prompted to pair the Ultra 2 with the new phone and now it seems to be stuck on the screen with the Apple logo and the circle around it.

I've tried doing the forced reboot on the watch a couple times it just comes back to this same screen. Not sure where to go next.

It's my first iPhone purchase since my trusty old iPhone 7. Been using that one for a good 6~7 years. However I've been running out of storage space, unable to use several functions well since the system is so outdated... so I finally made the decision to buy a new phone.

To be honest, even looking up new models was quite intimidating but I finally went and ordered a new iPhone 15 Pro Max. But now that I've gotten it in my hands, I found myself putting off making the actual switch. Having to sync/transfer/backup everything (via Mac) from such an old phone seems so daunting, and I think I'm just really afraid of losing anything or messing up my current apps — banking, payments, accounts — all those important things that are all tied to your phone nowadays.

I hope it's not a stupid question, but has anyone else felt this before when changing phones?

Hello. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and am looking for a case that offers the bets drop protection. I am vert clumsy with my phone and none of my phones so far have survived (usually back glass and camera breaking). Please drop some cases I should look into.

I am in market for my first Macbook and currently 15 inch M2 air is the current frontrunner in my list. I have a windows PC at home but it would be useful to sometimes use VMs on the go as I am a computer science student. Is the 16GB and M2 chip capable of running VMs smoothly on M2 Air without overheating?

I bought my Apple Watch for the sole purpose of going on runs and tracking my run / playing music while I run. I pay for service on my watch but even when I download a playlist or podcast, my watch skips songs and just won’t play them. Is there a fix to this? I’ve tried restarting the watch, deleting Spotify, deleting and redownloading the songs, nothing works. Any advice?

Hi Reddit! I wanted to share an exciting update to my App - Pal!

I have finally managed to add the most requested feature - Conversation History!

At a high level, the app works by using the ChatGPT API. This allows you to use GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 through the API rather than having to pay a flat $20/month for ChatGPT Plus!

I've previously added some nice to have features such as:
- API Key access to GPT-3.5, GPT-4 (and Google PaLM!)
- DALL-E Image generation support (Also new!)
- Ability to edit both the question and the AI response (Famously missing in the official app)
- Saving multiple prompts
- Saving multiple system messages
- Ability to adjust the temperature
- See the token length and cost of the conversation

Hope you find the app useful!
And of course, the app collects absolutely no data. You can verify this by going to the app's App Privacy Report in settings and see that network calls are only being made to OpenAI. Everything is done on-device.

Please remember to get an API Key from OpenAI!
Remember, GPT-4 isn't free, you just pay per use through the API Key instead.

I’m using a 15PM with 21 cycles. What’s yours at?

How does one swipe through available watch faces now on the watch with the new watchOS? The only way I figured out how to do. It is on my phone using the Watch app itself.

Who designs this stuff? Do they actually use these apps in real life? Why make the “stop/end timer” X a tiny little icon you have to aim for. Shite.

I know there’s a ton of color palette apps, but I can’t find one with everything I’m looking for:

  1. Can drop down from the menu at any time- but is a drop down, not a separate window that opens
  2. You can organize and save different collections of colors
  3. Eye dropper tool to be able to define colors from any app/screen
  4. Ability to “lock” the drop-down open, so that you can use the eye dropper tool from another app (photoshop for example) to select colors from your collections in your drop-down. Lock it open so you can click around on photoshop without the drop-down closing, until you unlock it
  5. Hex, HSL, RGB functionality to be able to make and change colors in the app
  6. Bonus if the app design looks good

Does this exist?? If not I may end up down the rabbit hole of app development to make it happen

I’m very sorry if there is already a post about this, I am in a pickle and need to quickly block someone on text and iMessage. I already blocked their contact, however I am still receiving their iMessages!!! Everything I’ve googled says to do exactly what I did, however I’m still receiving their iMessages. Calling goes right to voice mail so that part worked, but this person is still sending me iMessages and I’m receiving them even though their contact is blocked. I cannot figure out how to block someone on iMessage as well. Does anyone know what to do here or is my phone just glitching? I’m seriously stressed about this as I cannot handle any more messages from this person. I don’t know what to do.

My brother hard reset my phone without telling me and after that my phone was stuck on a loop with showing the apple logo, turning black and showing it again over and over, i tried to restore it but i didnt have enough space on my disk so after emptying it out, i try to update it again but while itunes updates it the screen goes back to the apple logo which cancels the update and then goes back to the restore screen. How do i fix this endless loop? Its been 3 hours.

What’s on your app dock on your iPhone. My is simple: iMessage, Phone, Safari and Spotify. Nothing special here.

i’m genuinely interested on how different cell carriers block personal hotspot use and throttle it too. Before I had added personal hotspot to my cellular plan I got this message (image attached). i couldn’t get my phone to show it again so the image is sourced from the web. but Apple seems to go as far as to give the carrier full control even to fully turn off personal hotspot. Isn’t this just a software limitation on the consumers end? It’s just your phones expanding your normal cell service to other devices over Wi-Fi instead of 4G. what confuses me is how they can pick up personal hotspot use in the first place? personal hotspot is a feature made by Apple and based in software on the physical phone. The carriers shouldn’t have access to the settings?
