Im hopefully going to upgrade next year when I graduate high school and Im not sure which one to get . I liked the 13 pm first because it'll become cheaper by then and people say it has a beast of a battery , basically the "best phone" according to my friend, but im worried it won't be supported for a long time unlike the 14 cuz it is newer than 13 and will go a longer way. And im also worried about updating it for I have seen some worrisome problems about the screen turning green after an update and I am sure as hell I don't want that happening to my phone cuz it'll cost a lot to repair it and I don't have an apple store near me, the closest is a 5 hour drive away in the big city . The 14 pm is perfect in everything but I've seen some problems abt it, people say the battery drains fast and stuff and I really don't like the dynamic island , for it serves little purpose and is quite distracting. 15 pm is out of the picture for I don't like almost anything about it, the slightly curved edges, dynamic island, I've seen way too many rumours abt it overheating and its battery life ain't the best, it feels cheaper because it's lighter thanks to the titanium build, and the action button is useless. The only thing I like abt it that it has the usb-c charging port and that's all. Thoughts?

Has anyone been having battery issues after the latest update? Overall battery life on my Ultra 1 is 100% yet it’s dropping drastically and overheating. (I just went from 62% down to 40% in 30 minutes with nothing running after a full nights charge.) The only thing I can think of is the fact I use Clockology but it didn’t affect anything before the latest update. Anyone have any tips to ensure best battery life? I don’t want to keep auto display off as it’s one of the best features!

Hi everyone! I am a XS user looking to upgrade to a 15 or a 15 Pro. What makes me hesitate is the 3x zoom: Is it game changer? Will I use it often?

So I want to know what is your experience with this zoom. Do you like it? Do you use it more than the 2x zoom?

Yes I know I am not fit especially when it comes to cardio. I can do light weightlifting with no issues and my heart rate gets up to usually 140. With cardio it can go all the way up to 170 which cardio shouldn’t be hard but it’s hard for me. My breathing isn’t great and I did go to the doctor in k-12 bc in gym class I often struggled to breath when walking laps. I did get an inhaler but not diagnosed with asthma. My dad has asthma so I’m thinking maybe that’s why my cardio fitness is so bad. I’m 5”8 and 118 pounds soooo obviously I’m not carrying extra weight anywhere. Should I slow down on my walks or is this or be expected when first starting out. I am walking with my dogs so she walks so much faster than I do.

Whenever I try exchanging contact posters with another user it ends up showing their contact on their phone and on my screen this props up even tho I’ve set up my poster and have my airdrop on. iOS is updated as well.

The date never used to be hidden, now I have to wake the watch up to view it. How can this be changed?

Hi, I've bought my macbook a month ago from apple store. Everything was great and device is fully functioning. I updated it to MacOS sonoma last 2 weeks ago. When I opened my battery health, it's already in 98 percent. I dont even use it extensively. I only use it to take notes or watch youtube videos. Anyone experiencing this, should i go to apple and get my macbook checked?

Edit: I’ve done 19 cycles

Some backstory (skip this and go to the “Now to the point” part if you don’t care about a random anecdote) My last iPhone was the iPhone 3G, I had it for about a month before breaking the free 5000 SMS limit and I had to pay my dad my phone to pay the bill lol.

Since then and up until about 3 years ago I was one of those nearly militant anti-apple people. Then I got to use some products and 6 months later I got the MacBook for studies. I had the Google Pixel 7 Pro and experiencing what the Google “ecosystem” had to offer and eventually having to return the phone as my screen self-destructed (amongst many other issues) pushed me to the point where I decided it was time to try the “other side”.

Now to the actual point: I have been on Android basically forever, except for the past 2 months where I have been using a cracked iPhone 8 from 2017.

I know Apple people will tell me that everything is just “so easy” but I kind of disagree. So I would need some help doing “the switch”. I’ll try to be as clear as possible but I haven’t even received my iPhone 15 Pro yet:

  1. Syncing: I don’t have iCloud. I have 2TB on Drive, can I sync and backup in the “same” or similar way? I also have a MacBook Air M1, what will automatically sync in terms of photos, notes, etc?

  2. NFC: Does iPhone users have the ability to use NFC tags etc? I have some at home which I use to sync with my Home Assistant or is it just for Apple Pay?

  3. General usage: This may be a bit diffuse, but on my MacBook I have found ways of getting around things rather than actually knowing what I am doing. Are there any finger gestures, button clicks or whatever I should learn?

  4. Any tips: I will happily accept any tips that I can get to ease the transition. Bonus tips for any tips for structuring stuff up. I have ADHD so any productivity tips are greatly appreciated.

I use my phone quite a lot, I run quite a lot and use Strava for that. I play some games, watch YouTube, use the camera a lot.

Smart watch batterylife suck. I like my dumb watch because I don't have to charge it. I'm not slaved to it.

In comes whoop. It's not a smart watch, but it's a fitness bracelet. This isn't to compare the features except for 1. The charging pack.

Whoop has an external charging pack that you connect to the bracelet while you're wearing it. It's still buggy I know, but it's a brilliant concept. Like the airpod charging system.

Apple typically lets other devices (Samsung etc) innovate and come up with the cool features, then steals it, makes it massively user friendly, then acts like they created it. I'm not a hater, it's just their niche. Any word on this happening to the charging system of the watch? I'd love an apple watch with this feature?

And yes, I love Samsung for the newest in technology, I love Apple for features that are ironed out and user friendly.

Someone stole my phone ( I’m from UK) I t’s already on a lost mode.

I just checked the locator app and after a few months it’s there 💀 no notification no nothing.

I can assume it’s already usable ? How did they bypass the lost and locked mode ? And what can I do about it

I don’t want to pay a yearly subscription for watch faces I’ll pay a one time if it’s what I want but the app facer has a mass effect face that I’d love to have but you have to subscribe for it.

Hello, I currently have a Midnight Apple Watch but since I realized that I love nature tones, I’m switching to a lighter colored watch.

Brands I use: Clay Sport Band, Olive Grey/Black Nike Sport Band, Cargo Khaki Sport Loop

I love the look of Silver but Starlight looks like it mathes more of my tones. Help a brotha out please.

Hello Reddit community! I'm gearing up for an adventure across Asia next month, and I'm looking to travel light. I'm planning to take all my devices with me, but this means I need to bring along four different types of cables:

- MacBook Air M2 - MagSafe 3 to USB-C Cable

- iPhone 15 Pro Max - USB-C Cable to USB-C Cable

- Apple Watch SE - Magnetic Charger to USB-C Cable

- AirPods Pro - Lightning to USB-C Cable

Carrying four different cables seems excessive, and I'm looking for a way to cut down on the clutter. I want to avoid the hassle of carrying and sorting through multiple cables daily. I'm on the lookout for a more streamlined solution. Does any of you have tips, hacks, or product recommendations for managing cables while on the move? I'm open to all suggestions!

I noticed after updating to the last two iOS 17 updates and since Messenger rolled out their end-to-end encryption feature, I cannot peek at messages in the Messenger app anymore. It’s hard to not be able to do that especially if you dont want to open someone’s messages and let them know you’ve read them. Is this a bug or what?

Anyone else is experiencing this as well?

I have an iPhone 14 and I’ve had it for almost a year now, but I noticed this today and I couldn’t stop staring after noticing this. It doesn’t show up in any other apps, except for when I go on the app windows. The side of the screen still works, but I’m just wondering if it’s normal or do I need to get it checked. I drop my phone a lot so maybe it’s from that but I’m not sure.

(I have apple care so I’m not too worried about getting it checked)

Has Apple not noticed the shadow bug that's been there since the iOS 7 keyboard update, all the way up to my current version, iOS 17.1?

It‘s not the first time that i‘m in a conversation and i notice my apple watch doing some shady thing like calling someone or asking me for the exact contact to send a text to and so on…

What are some of the tricks that you all use to avoid that?
