Hello everyone. Was looking to upgrade my Apple Watch Series 6, having battery issues. Should I get a refurbished series 8 for £509 or a brand new series 9 for £699. Both of them by the price are stainless steel options. Any suggestions are welcome :)

Just noticed this pop up a couple of weeks ago, thought maybe it could be due to bringing this in the sauna with me. Apple Watch SE fyi.

Looking at buying my first smart watch, the Ultra ( apart from the price tag) looks the most appealing as I’m use to wearing quite chunky watches.

But my question is, as someone who isn’t upgrading an existing smart watch, should I buy the original Ultra which is now cheeper or buy the Ultra 2?

Interested to know everyone’s thought on the two choices.

As the title states i left my iPhone 14 flashlight on for an hour by accident because my hand accidentally turned it on from the lockscreen and without knowing and i came back after an hour or so and i saw it was on. The phone was a little warm but not anything crazy and my battery dropped a few percentages. Would this damage anything seeing as it was on for so long?

Around the time when the new iPhones launched this year, I heard in a YouTube video that the Natural Titanium color of the 15 Pros is not actually natural. Does anyone know of the video I’m talking about? I’m assuming that this is not true since I can’t find any corroborating sources.

I am one of those users who has decided to not update to WatchOS 10 due to some of the reported changes impacting usability (I’ve given feedback, not that I think it’s do much).

Everyday, I get two reminders to update. Everyday I dismiss them. The last week or so I’ve noticed that the iPhone ping no longer works, calls don’t come through, and message alerts are delayed by at least 2hours.

The obvious fix would be to update… but then the device fundamentally changes for me. I use it for expediency, but by the sounds of things it’d take just as long to use my phone (making these updates pointless IMO).

Last time I unpaired and re-paired my Watch and iPhone, it forced me to update the Watch. I’m worried that will happen again, so I’m not sure this is an option.

I knew I’d eventually no longer have a usable Apple Watch … but it looks like it’s happening way faster than I thought it would.

I have a sleeve and my Apple Watch would lock at least 2-3 x’s a day. The ink isn’t that heavy where the watch sits but it would still lock at times. It’s frustrating but not to the point I’d stop wearing it.

Since updating to Watch OS10 it seems like the wrist detection has improved and in the last 2 days it hasn’t locked.

Does anyone know if Apple improved the sensors on tattoos with OS10 and have they said anything about it? I don’t see anything official from Apple about it but it seems to have improved.

I’ve been wanting a brand new 12 inch macbook since my 2015 became slow and unreliable.

I will lose my marbles if the bodies are plastic. What else could they cut costs on?

People don’t realize that this lil’ dude is pretty much as quick as the 13 Pro. The SE3 outperforms the S22 Ultra and goes toe-to-toe with the S23 Ultra.

That’s a lot of phone for just $429. I’m impressed.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good case for an iPhone that has a powerful magnet so it will actually stick to my car mount but also allows me to use the MagSafe charger or whatever that is called. I’ve already bought 4 that say powerful and they are all garbage. I ended up putting a magnet on the back of one of them and it works for the car mount but not for the charger because it’s not flush. Thanks for any advice

My son has an SE watch and uses it a lot. He loves it. I have it set up as a family Watch from my phone.

If I were to acquire a separate iPhone for him, how can I move his Watch from my phone to his own phone? His Apple ID would still be part of our overall family setup of course.

If I simply un pair it from my phone and pair it with a different phone, will that work without wiping his Watch? That’s my main concern, I don’t want the Watch to end up being wiped in the process.

After watchOS update to 10, I was getting 10% less battery life than what I was getting. Previously I was getting 2 and half days of battery life. I used to charge every 2 days with more than 25% remaining. After 10 update, it’s dropping to ~18% after 2 days of usage. I did not make any changes to the apps. Same apps as before and same workouts (Badminton, Weight Training, Kickboxing). After 10.1 update, it even got worse. Now my watch is not even lasting 1.5 days. It is about to die just after 36 hours of use.

Any of you are seeing this? Any fix for this?

My gym has “True” brand treadmills that have native support of Connecting to Apple Watch, but when I go to start indoor run and start the treadmill it won’t actually start the workout. My Apple Watch just continues to say “start the treadmill”

Anyone have this issue/know how to around it? I have an Apple Watch original SE, fully updated.

Opened the back cover to clean the fans

Once I put the back cover on it wouldn’t click in so I applied a bit of force and something must’ve broke because there was white smoke coming out for a few seconds and a nasty burning smell

So now the back cover still isn’t clicked in, and the whole MacBook is not working either…

Since today the Apple remote seems to be in some loop where it constantly sends an IR signal which (un)mutes my receiver constantly.

The mute button is not stuck and functions normally and I control everything via CEC and not via IR (turned off).

What is going on here and how to fix it?

Hi. I plan to trade my phone in and get a new phone. I'm a regular phone user and I use my phone for texting and using social media. My main concern is the gigabytes and I'm going to go from 64 to a 128 version (thank goodness). Can you share any info you have on best iphone choice/pros and cons? Money saving is always a plus.. I heard the iphone 13 and iphone 14 aren't super different. Currently looking at the 13, 14 and 15 base models and I plan to trade in and buy at the apple store. Let me know your thoughts! Much appreciated. :)

So i changed from the 6s to the 13 and im having a kinda hard time with it, i find my self struggling with the size and the lack of home button, i feel it’s not as responsive as the 6s? For example ill try pull down from the top of the screen to see my notifications and sometimes it just wont do it, never had that on my 6. I also feel my overall experience feels clunkier and not as smooth

I have no idea if maybe I just got unlucky, but I updated my 15 Pro Max to iOS 17.1 out of impulse and now my screen doesn't work.

Like I still can see everything and wake up my screen with the lock button but it's not detecting any of my touch inputs. Tried to hard restart it with the Volume up, Volume down, power button about 20 times and still nothing. Plugging it into iTunes says its in DFU mode too.

Does anyone have a fix for this. I don't want to restore my phone because I don't have a recent backup and I can't back it up while iTunes thinks its in DFU mode(Which it isn't). Probably going to the Genius bar later if I can get an appointment.

I use Prime Video quite extensively on Apple TV. I only have one profile on my account yet whenever I launch something from the "Up Next" or opening the app directly, it requires me to select the one profile.

Is there a way I can change this such that it doesn't require me to select a profile?

I have been wondering if I did this would the game I am playing on my iPhone 15P display on the tv? Doing this for the sake of sheer curiosity lol (I own a console and a pc for normal gaming)

Apologies if this has been covered, I searched and couldn’t find any discussion.

I’m almost always listening to music or a podcast on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and when I get a notification it will just briefly lower the volume.

Since I’m listening to just speech a lot of the time the brief lowering of the volume is not enough to alert me at all.

I want it to beep at me loudly because I’m constantly missing my notifications. Is there any way to fix this?
