Is it ok?

Is there any way to get the apple watch to hard reset that it unpairs with the other device? My brother bought an apple watch from a guy but he didn't think it through, because the guy forgot his apple id that he used with the watch and he sold it to my brother because he couldn't solve the problem himself and was ignorant enough so he didn't seek help from apple support (basically he scammed my brother). Now we want to use the watch but the guy doesn't pick up our phones or answer our messages. I'd love to get help from Apple Support but on their page they say we need the ownership information, which also is accessible through the apple id of the watch... At this point I just wanna sue the guy for scamming my brother but as a last resort I'm seeking help from the internet. Is there anything that we can do without spending more money at this point?

I ordered my aws8 last week. I planned on installing something on the screen (glass guard or some kind of film) to protect it from scratches. But before that I had got a little scratch on the screen, BIG BUMMER.

So, please suggest me what to put on the screen for screen’s longer life scratchless, would be really grateful!

Hello, I’m looking to upgrade from my 6 year old iPhone X which has slowly been degrading. I can’t afford a brand new phone so i was looking at renewed phones. Is the 13 pro worth the 250 extra CAD dollars over the 12 pro? Thanks

Can anyone help me understand this? Between May to Oct I’ve lost 12 lbs (138 to 126) but it appears my resting energy is going up. Doesn’t BMR go down as you lose weight? I mean I’m not complaining lol, but I’m just wondering how accurate this is.

Im thinking of downgrading to the xs max to save money on my phone payment and I remember the xs max being my favorite iPhone, both functionally and physically.

I understand it’s now 5 generations behind but it still supports the latest IOS. Is it super slow now?

I have a Best Buy gift card ($25) that I need to use by Nov 30th. I don't need anything at Best Buy but need to use it before I can't. I own a Apple Watch Series 7. I was thinking about selling it for $200 and using the money and gift card for a Series 9. Do you think it's worth upgrading to the Series 9 from 7 or I use the gift card for something else.

Hello, this morning I woke up to an iPhone that was on but had a black screen and was unresponsive. The display just showed a black screen. This occurred after charging overnight. Is this issue software or hardware? Also what causes it?

6 month old S8 was working great until I upgraded to 10.1. Now for the past 3 days it’s been dying in about 12 hours. Also it says hasn’t been charged to 100% since Saturday, but I leave it on the charger all night, every night, and I have optimized charging turned off🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve currently got a 2018 15” MBP that I’ve been using since it released. With the pending announcement of the new MacBooks today, I’m trying to decide whether I would like to upgrade to a 14” or a 16” MBP. I see that the 16” is about 0.5 lbs heavier than my current laptop and the 14” is about 0.5 lbs lighter.

It will be plugged into my 27” monitor for about 30% of the time while the rest will be outside of the home. I use my laptop on the go for classes and many other things. I mostly use my laptop for videos, note taking, some machine learning projects, very large excel workflows, and SQL queries with Docker.

I was considering the 14” just because it is much cheaper….but I’m a bit hesitant because I hear the battery life is significantly better on the 16”. I’m really stuck and unsure of which one I should get. I did have a couple questions:

I hear people say that the screen on the 16” is amazing. Does that translate to the 14” model as well? Is the screen essentially the same but scaled down? Also, does anyone here have any experience with the battery life on the 14” model? When I bought my 2018 15” MBP the battery estimate (as it states right now on the Apple website as well) said that it would last 10 hours on the wireless web. Although the laptop definitely cannot do that now, I feel it was pretty accurate when I got it back in 2018. For the 14” it says 12 hours for the same metric and it says 15 hours for the 16”. I’m a bit concerned that the battery life improvements may not be too great on the 14” when compared to my 15” when it was new.

The new MBP’s look like the best value for money in comparison however I had the M1 14” and the display unfortunately caused me headaches (from PWM). I’ve been thinking about purchasing a MBA 15” (PWM-free) but there’s only £100 price difference from the MBP with these specs:

8-Core CPU 10-Core GPU 8GB Unified Memory 512GB SSD Storage

The MBP has the M3 chip so it seems expensive for the MBA to be priced only £100 cheaper. Is the price likely to drop or would they have adjusted it by now?

So, I recently retired a Garmin Vivoactive HR that has seen 6 years of active duty on my wrist. I work in the grocery department of a supermarket and impacts with doors, shelves and other structures are a regular hazard of the job.

The Garmin has seen its fair share of those, and despite a non-functional touchscreen, shattered strap connections, broken accelerometer and more, it still manages to tell proper time and track my heart rate.

Looking at my shiny new Series 7, I don’t know if I could expect to say the same of it after even half that time period. I want to wear it to work, but I think a case is in order. What would be the best case for use in an environment where the Watch is going to experience regular impacts to both the face and edges?

How can I tell if I am blocked? I sent a message and it shows as “delivered” on my Mac but not on my iPhone.

I don’t want to send another message to “test” this but I can still see the “iMessage” word in the text field.

I can also see other options when I press the “I/information” button on my iPhone and Mac. I see call, FaceTime, mail, and info as well as the other options.

I have an iPhone 11 and have recently tried to download new apps and it won’t allow me to do so and makes me upload a payment method. I’ve used PayPal, Apple Pay, and credit/debit cards and it sends me back to the same pop up to upload another payment method, it’s charged me 9.99 4 times and will not stop, I previously deleted my payment methods because of problems like this even though I don’t have any active subscriptions. I’ve tried Apple support but their customer service is nonexistent and sends me to the same two pages over and over again, I’m tired of dealing with this problem and I think it’s very unnecessary to require a users card information to even be able to download an app. At this point I’m just gonna buy an android and save myself the headache.

Sorry if this is not the right venue for this, but my 9 year old wants an MP3 player. We use Apple Music and have iPhones. We don’t want her to have a cell phone yet, but we are OK with giving her access to Apple Music, but it seems there are no options out there for an MP3 player that works with Apple Music. Some people suggest we give her an old iPhone and disable a bunch of stuff on it, but we don’t have old iPhones laying around nor do we want to give her access to things that might be used for Internet browsing or messaging. We just want her to have a music player. Is there an option we’re not considering?

I have LG CX and Vizio sound bar. My understanding ideally I would connect AppleTV to the soundbar and then use eARC out from soundbar to eARC input on the TV. However, the sound bar only has 1 HDMI port (eARC) and no secondary output. The tv only has one eARC port as well.

What the best way to configure this ?

I live in a dorm situation and random people’s YouTube accounts keeps showing up on my tv. Anyone can share to it but I require a password and it’s a hard one.

Any suggestions how to stop this??

I was excited to buy the iPhone 15 — I never had the latest iPhone before! However, I am disappointed with the camera both photo and videos so I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this is typical for new iPhone that eventually get fixed over time with iOS updates???

All of my video look choppy on the iPhone 15 and I generally have good steady hands and REALLY focus, but video still look laggy and not smooth — even when I record basic things the names or signs in the background get blurred out.. usually in all my other iPhone videos you can still read signs.

Photos are not clear.. they either look overly saturated OR come out super grainy, dull or dark looking — like if taken from a Motorola razor phone from years back! I have to really focus to get a decent shot and is not something I can live with! I usually like to snap and walk but I can’t with this iPhone because it’s a hit or Miss.

Is anyone having similar problems? How can I fix this? I really want to love this phone because I need a new one, but the camera is not good!!!

Is there a protective coating on the exterior glass lens of the phone's main camera, and is it similar to the oleophobic coating on the screen? Is it susceptible to micro scratches, or is it more scratch-resistant compared to the screen's coating? I'm interested in learning more about this, as I couldn't find much information elsewhere.
