I’m a watching a movie I purchased on the Apple TV app which is streaming through my Sony x91j TV. Problem is it’s not show in Dolby vision like Disney plus does .

I never had MacBook, Air, Pro. but they have lot of varieties like m1, m2, m3 chip.

Lot of suggest Best Buy and Amazon to purchase sometimes refurbished are good too.

So I noticed this type of bleeding yesterday. Sadly, my return period of 14 days already ended. I got this M2 Air on the 11th of October 2023. Would you say that this is a defect?

Unsure if this is the optimized battery charging taking effect, or just 10.1, but my ultra 2 is charging at about half the speed now (even after a restart). Before I try unpairing / re-pairing, was curious if anyone else had the same issue?

Maybe someone has had this problem before: My iPhone 13 mini no longer recognises my sim card. It's not the SIM, it's definitely the device itself.

What surprised me a bit is that the device doesn't register when the sim tray is used. There is no message like "no sim" or something like that. It just says "no network" at the top all the time. No matter if I plug in a sim, pull out the tray or plug in with or without a card. It also does not ask for a PIN or anything similar.

I have tried to clean the slot, but can't really get to it....

Maybe someone has an idea?

I'm a bit torn.

I currently have a Samsung S23 Ultra but since I tend to switch phones every year-ish (I get bored of them easily), I've been looking at getting an iPhone.

Ever since the announcement of the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) and them finally going USB-C, I've been wanting one. A few days ago, a friend of mine offered to buy my S23 Ultra which is great but I just don't know whether to do it or not.

I see so many issues with the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) from screen burn-in to titanium having dents to software not working properly. I'd love to know from other iPhone 15 Pro (Max) users if any of you are experiencing issues with your brand new devices. My phone works great for now so if the issues really are a dealbreaker for most, I'll just hold onto my Samsung until the S24 Ultra releases but I want to give iPhone a shot again after being on team Android for a few years now.

Do note that I'm not interested in getting a iPhone 14 Pro or lower, I didn't wait all this time for iPhone to get USB-C (like all my other devices) to having to go back to Lightning which would be the only device that I'd have that wouldn't have USB-C.

My weather widget is displaying a blank file where the cloud / sun icon normally is. My friend tried this on his phone running 17.03 and the same thing happened. Anyone else having this issue?

I’m looking to buy an Apple Watch for fitness/health purposes. I know little about the different products being sold currently. Had a look and there are so many. I’m looking for advice about the best value for money for fitness purpose Apple Watches. Ideally I’m not looking to spend a whole lot but want a watch which will accurately assess fitness and health related measurement. Any advice is welcome.

I'm thinking about getting the iPhone 15 Pro or the Pro Max, my main focus is their cameras.

According to several YouTube reviews, the (cropped) x5 zoom on the iPhone 15 Pro is considered quite good compared to the Pro Max's x5, while the x3 zoom on the Pro Max is pretty terrible, mainly because it's essentially a cropped version of the x1. This makes sense because going from x3 to x5 is only a 1.66x increase, while x1 to x3 is a 3x jump.

So, for someone who wants both x3 and x5, the Pro might be a better choice.
But I really want x5 portraits.
I know the regular portrait mode only works at specific zoom levels (x1, x2, x3 for the Pro, and x1, x2, x5 for the Pro Max), but how does the new "automatic portrait" feature work on these phones?

Does the new "automatic portrait" feature work on various zoom levels, like x5 on the iPhone 15 Pro (and any other custom zoom level for that matters, like x3.5 or x4.1...), or does it still only work when you're on the fixed x1/2/(3/5) zoom levels?

Is it just me, or do others also use their iPhone 15 Pro Max as their only computer? I've tried MacBooks, iMacs, iPads, and Windows devices, but I've always ended up selling them because I mostly rely on my phone. My job doesn't demand specialized applications, so am I alone in this? If macOS had a better gaming library, I might consider getting a new iMac, but for now, my gaming needs are met by my Switch OLED. I also use an Apple TV and my large TV. It seems that as we get older – I'm 43 now – we naturally simplify our tech setup. On that note, it's been a while since I upgraded from my iPhone 13 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max, and the most significant improvement is the reduced weight. I can now comfortably use my phone for longer periods without hand strain, especially with the Apple silicone case – it is AWESOME!

So a couple weeks after I got my 15 Pro Max I noticed that it would ask for my passcode to use Face ID even though I hadn’t restarted the phone or anything. Downloaded system status app and sure enough the device restarted itself, and it happened several times again later. I did buy AppleCare+ when I got the phone because $10 a month sounds pretty good for the peace of mind.

Support had me run some tests and based on those they confirmed a hardware fault and recommended I bring it to an Apple Store. But that’s an hour trip each way so I wasn’t about to do all that. They then said I also had the option to do an Express Replacement at no cost to me, excluding a hefty authorization hold on my credit card that will drop off once they receive my old phone.

I know this is a $29 option without AC+ but since I only paid once so far, that $10 has basically gotten me a “new” phone replacement and I don’t even have to leave the house to get it.

On one hand it’s a bummer to even have to do this for a new phone, but shit happens and the fact that this service is a thing is remarkable to me. I was a Samsung owner for 10 years and idk if you’ve ever had to deal with their customer service but it can be a major pain in the ass.

We’ll see how the replacement device is, but so far I’m very impressed.

I know there has been a million posts about the iPhone 15 Pro overheating and that it would get fixed on 17.1.

I have noticed that my phone is running especially hot while on FaceTime and the battery is draining at a crazy pace. Besides this, the battery is barely charging while I am on a FaceTime call, as if the charging can’t keep up with the draining.

Idk if any of you have a fix for this, but any suggestions are welcome.

I have started to use these. I still use my AirPod pros, but sometimes I just want more kick to my music and these fit the pedigree for me.

I’m finally wanting to go caseless but I’m not wanting to damage the phone. I want to see the color and even a see through case adds bulk. Are there any good rear protectors out there for the iPhone 15 Pro Max? It’s really the front and back I want protected.

I've been looking for the right laptop for when I start at uni as an engineering student. I was looking to get a macbook. When I heard there would be an apple event focussed around macs I was kind of interested and watched it. Now I live in Belgium this means the starting price for the MBP M3 base model is €2029 instead of $1599. BUT the thing is that I've got 17% off, that means the base MBP M3 is €1684 now. Keeping this is mind I looked at the minimum requirements of my faculty I started looking around. Firstly I was thinking of waiting until the M3 Air. But when I looked at the requirements it said that a mac mini or Macbook Air isn't recommended because of harder to run programmes needeing the "active cooling" (this made me look into the macbook pros and other windows laptops). Now that I now that I probably need a pro the 120Hz comes as a nice extra because I've been using 120Hz+ displays only for the past 2-3 years and I don't want to look back. Now to come to a conclusion/ question. The requirements also said at least 16GBs of RAM was required so I was looking at the price of the MBP M3 with 16GBs of RAM which comes to a total of €1875 with the 17% off. But than i saw the MBP M3 Pro has 18GBs of RAM and has a better chip ofcourse and this would come to €2115. Is the extra €240 worth it for the M3 pro model considering I am going to try to use this laptop for at least 5-6 years (the time it takes to finish my studies).

I recently got my iPhone 15 Pro after upgrading from an iPhone 13 Pro and one of the first things I noticed was how much weaker the haptics were.

The iPhone 13 Pros haptics seemed to be much tighter, more firm and quieter, whereas the iPhone 15 Pros haptics feel like springy, loose, hollow and louder. It’s hard to describe. Did anyone else notice this at all? Or is my 15 Pro potentially having an issue? Thanks!

Which phone would be a better upgrade for me. I like the camera on my 11 Pro. I think it’s fine. Does the 15 have a better camera than my 11 Pro. I’m going to get a 256 gig version and wondering if I really need the better camera of the 15 pro as opposed to the 15.

Apple's latest watch update has effectively made useless many versions of their watch from SE to the latest generations, mine included. The issue includes lightning fast battery drain & overheating while charging. This is a outrageous & no word nor fixes provided. Mine will not charge without being off. Otherwise it either charges enough to stay at a low amount or just overheats. I have a Series 6 that used to last all day and now barely two hours of not even using it (just being on my arm). I have several other watches from them I am keeping offline to avoid this fiasco.

Just thought I would share, i did peel some back cause i thought it was a fluke.
