Hi, does anyone know why my phone won’t let me install the system update to finish the setup? This is the second time I’ve done it and it keeps reaching this point and won’t let me install. I’ve seen mentions of internet connection but my is fine, any suggestions? Thanks.

Any body else have this happen? Shut down the watch only to have it start on its own without any prompt from start button or battery charge.

Im currently using a Google pixel 6 pro, the phones fine and all but im personally not that fond of the video quality and the sub par processer.

Considering going to a 15 pro max or a 14 pro max. I am planning on waiting till the s24 but honestly the video quality and optimization with apps generally of andriods isnt great.

The only thing i think i will be missing out on in my daily use will be some sideloaded modded apps. Any suggestions on my part? (Ps i love telephotos)

Hi everyone,

I have an M1 MBA and connect an external monitor (34" UWQHD) through a USB C hub (Anker 11-in-1). I've got the main power supply in one TB port and the hub in the other port.

My issue is that whenever I disconnect the power and the hub, and then later reconnect the hub, the monitor keeps disconnecting and reconnecting on its own every 10-15 seconds. I've tried using Clamshell mode as well as keeping the laptop's screen opened and I've tried disconnecting the DP cable from the hub before disconnecting the hub from the laptop. I end up having to disconnect everything, restarting, then reconnecting everything one by one.

I've even got the BetterDisplay app and tried disconnecting the monitor from there but no luck.

Any thoughts on what else I can try? I'm hoping there's is simple solution.

Thanks in advance!

Price listed is for 64GB RAM + 2TB SSD.

The prices for in-app purchases (IAP) and subscriptions like YouTube Premium and game memberships are generally lower on Android (top) compared to iOS (bottom). If you use Android, you'll save more and can still access the same content on Apple devices at a more affordable cost.

Hello everyone, I (F) am planning to buy iphone 15. This will be my very first iphone, so I am quite excited. This excitement has lead me to the biggest dilemma of color should I choose. I liked the pink color but I also feel that it will be too girly for me. Blue and Green are the other 2 options that are in my mind, but I am not completely satisfied with any of those. I understand that selecting a color is completely subjective. But I would like to see your opinions on which color of iphone 15 do you like the most.

Hey, I just purchased the new Iphone 15 Pro Max and it feels so bad. Its super laggy, sometimes the apps don't respond. It just feels so bad to use. Is there anything I could do to fix this? I'm thinking of just trying to get a refund. How will apple fix this and how long will it take? What do you guys think I should do?

In an age where the smartphone industry relentlessly churns out newer and more advanced models each year, it may come as a surprise to some that I still use my handy iPhone 5s in 2023. While many have moved on to sleeker and more powerful devices, I have my reasons for holding onto this aging piece of technology. For one, the iPhone 5s has proven to be a reliable workhorse, providing the basic functionality I need without the added distractions and complexities of newer smartphones. Its compact size fits comfortably in my hand as well.

Furthermore, my decision to stick with the iPhone 5s is not just about nostalgia; it's also about sustainability. In a time when electronic waste is a growing concern, I find solace in the fact that my older device continues to serve its purpose without contributing to the growing heap of discarded gadgets. By extending its life through careful maintenance and minimalism in my tech consumption, I believe I'm doing my part to reduce the environmental impact of consumer electronics. While I may miss out on the latest features and trends, my iPhone 5s remains a steadfast companion, and I have no regrets about keeping it around.

Opinions on retaining and using an iPhone 5s in 2023 can vary widely. Some might see it as a testament to frugality and environmental responsibility, applauding the decision to make the most of a still-functional device instead of mindlessly upgrading. Others, however, may argue that clinging to such an outdated model limits one's access to the latest apps, security updates, and features, potentially hindering productivity and enjoyment.

What's your take on this?

Has anyone noticed that the shift button in the iPhone keyboard sometimes doesn’t work? When I write fast then sometimes the shift button vibrates but its not making the letters big. I have noticed it since the iOS 17.0.3 update.

So, I'm currently a "PC guy" (i9-11900k w/8cores, or 16 with HT, 64gb ram), and looking at making the jump into an Apple setup. Doing virtualization and software development/compiling, so I'm looking at needing more power than a Mini or a iMac (and definitely more memory than 8GB in a laptop... WTF Apple?).

Until yesterday, I was set on a Mac Studio w/ 12 cores (Ultra sounds a bit like a bodge). However, with the announcement of the M3 Max MBP, you're getting more cores, more SSD space, and slightly more memory. Since neither machine is upgradable, both support roughly the same number of displays, and the Studio was just released a few months ago so no upgrades are coming for a while, it really makes me wonder where the Studio fits with the current lineup. It seems a bit like the Mac Pro, where it's twice the cost or more, than a Studio with the same CPU, with no practical advantage.

So, should I still spring for the Studio, or jump to the M3 Max MBP?

My current work laptop is a 2019 MBP with an i9 and an AMD gpu. I have 3 4k monitors that I use with the laptop in clamshell mode. I have a HyperDrive viper that I use to drive two monitors https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperdrive-viper-10-in-2-usb-c-hub?variant=32440484888638 and then have a usb c to display port cable to drive the third. My fourth usb c port is used for charging.

The next laptop I get from work will likely be an m2 or m3 pro chip and it seems as though these chips only support 2 external monitors (pro doesn't mean much does it?)

My question is, does support for 2 external monitors turn into support for three external monitors if the laptop is in clamshell mode?

These are work managed laptops so workarounds that require third party software to drive additional monitors are not allowed.

How can Apple think that such horrible support for external monitors in a pro machine is acceptable? I'm using this thing for actual work, not browsing Etsy at Starbucks.

Do you usually put apps together by folder or do you just let them be in the home screen individually?

Hello. I am looking for upgrading my phone and in the same process give my “old” (iPhone 12 Pro) to my mom who uses an iPhone 7 at the moment.

However, she mainly uses her phone for driving for Uber. Right now she charges her phone with a cable connected to her car and keeps the phone on a magnetic thing stuck to her windshield. The problem is that my current phones socket for the cable is somewhat broken. It is difficult to get it to charge with a cable and moving the cable can make it lose electric connection. I use a wireless charger

Now I am wondering if it’s more viable to try and send this in for repair, or if there exist a relatively small MagSafe charger with a good magnet and USB-A she can attach to her car? Or USB-C would work as well as there are adapters and it’s only power that is important. The MagSafe charger does not have to have any fast charging. It just needs to be able to maintain battery while the phone is using GPS and some apps.

Also one more question: I did charge my phone wirelessly in my brothers car that had a built in wireless charger and it got super hot. Like turned off due to being overheated hot. This when being connected to his car via CarPlay and using gps while charging. Is this common when using a phone that is charging wirelessly, I.e. better to just repair the connector on my phone, or was this something with a bad designed wireless charger in my bothers car?

Thank you in advance

I’m planning to retire my 11 year old windows laptop. Suppose the price will be relatively the same between both models, which is a better buy?
