My Face ID doesn’t work

Which Phone to go for iPhone 15, pixel 8 or pixel 7pro

I just hit the one week mark with my first ever iPhone (super happy with my choice!!) and every time I look at it, the color just calms me and makes me happy. I don't know how to explain it.

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this or it's just me? 😅

I got this old series 1 apple watch from my dad after he got a new one. it’s been sitting in a drawer for a few months and so I got a charger and put it on it.

it’s been on the charger for about two hours now but it’s literally turning on to the apple logo and then shutting right off. like it’s TRYING to turn on but can’t?? it’s very hot to the touch. i’ve taken it off the charger now to let it cool but i’ve tried moving it, adjusting it, pressing the power button, holding the power button. nothing.

how do I fix this?? or do I need to just take it up to apple and see if they can do anything about it?

As the title suggests, my early 2015 macbook pro's battery is struggling to maintain its charge during daily use.

For context, there were long periods (over 6 months) where I did not use my mbp but I have started using it again and the only noticeable issue is that the battery drains fairly quickly.

Some battery stats:

Design capacity: 6559 mAh

Current capacity: 5745 mAh (so 87.5% of design capacity)

Cycle count: 510

I don't believe there is any bulging and I've replaced the thermal paste about a year ago so the laptop runs fairly well and quietly.

If anyone has any ideas or ways for me to check whether the battery has any hope?

I activated a replacement phone, the iMessage is having issues. It says my number is verifying for a day now, I’ve turned iMessage on and off, my phone on and off, updated, closed out the app etc but it’s still saying this.

I want to upgrade from a 12, what's the wisest choice?

I will not be able to use both phones at the same time. i have to sell the 14 so i can afford the 15

PODCASTS

God, this has been awful since my S1 and it never seems to improve. I set the shows I want to sync (so I have plenty to listen to when I go running without having to think about cellular data on my watch) and then my phone tells me its updating my podcasts on my watch (full charge, on a charging puck) and then... the progress bar barely shifts. It takes forever to sync the episodes, and I rarely (if ever) have a situation where it actually finishes the sync. Then instead of keeping the three most recent episodes available, it just keeps a bunch of old stuff. (I think setting old eps as 'played' might help, of course...)

Obviously there's a general issue with how fast data seems to sync between iPhone and AW (in my experience), but Podcasts seems to be the worst culprit. Tried Overcast, but that also freaks out when trying to store the right episodes with my Watch.

Am I missing something obvious? Anyone else have beef with Podcasts and sync in general?

The dream is for the watch app on the iPhone to have a simple file transfer capability - which would not only allow us to dump whatever music, podcasts and pics onto the watch we wanted, but would also make AW a handy portable data archive should we want it.

I have an older vehicle, 2012. I hate messing with Bluetooth in the car. It’s just easier plugging in an aux cord.

The cheap one I had before using the iPhone 12 PM sounded great!

However, I ordered 1 for the 15 PM from Amazon (aux to USBC), and it seems like all Dolby Atmos songs are very low in volume.

I am using Apple Music streaming.

Is there a setting I need to change, or do I just need to order more aux cords?

Any suggestions?

Is anyone else having this issue where the Lock Screen widget for snow is showing as paper? iPhone 15 pro version 17.1, upgraded to 17.2 beta thinking maybe it was my iOS version but that didn’t fix it.

Phone is basically vibrate mode 24/7 the Emergency Bypass toggle setting on each contact set, allows me to hear notifications for text or call for a select few while not allowing the rest. I’ve yet to see this feature on another phone. Just one of the things why I love iOS.

When is Apple going to figure out how to monitor and measure my sleep patterns when I take an afternoon nap? I have a new series 9 watch, it actually did record a nap that I took one time. It never has done it since... Any thoughts?

I’m thinking about buying Apple TV and was curious to know if this device can reproduce music and movies streamed from my home NAS which exposes content via DLNA/uPNP. If this can only play content from Apple services then I don’t think I’ll be buying this.

As a bonus it would be great if it could also play Spotify.

Hello! I need help from those who know: I have an iPhone 11, but lately I have been missing its battery, power and most importantly, camera. I go to lectures that are held in large rooms and sometimes I have to take pictures of the text from a big distance. On I11, the text comes out blurry, which makes it difficult for me. I know that new cameras in new models are much better, but I need image clarity with a large zoom. I would not like to buy a Pro model of phones, does anyone know how much better the zoom is among the I13 or I14 compared to the I11?

After updating my AppleTV to 17.1, I am no longer able to turn the TV off by holding the power button down. The Tv powers on with the click of the power button but I can’t turn it off.

I’ve tried unplugging both ends of the hdmi cable and unplugged and plugged back in the AppleTV and TV.

It’s a Vizio TV. Any suggestions?

I'd appreciate your help to decide between 3 models *used* Macbooks.

The main work involves office tasks like emails , internet browsing, Excel , Presentations, ChatGPT, Stock market and a bit of YouTube.

From a posts I've read on Reddit, it seems that the battery life of Macbook pro 14 M2 is slightly weaker than the Macbook Air M2.

However, during heavy work, the Macbook Air M2 heats up a bit more because it lacks a fan compared to the Macbook Pro 12 M2, Which can handle multitasking.

Any input would be helpful.

I’ve noticed an issue with my keyboard haptics randomly stopping when I type, mostly when I type quickly, and it’s really annoying, does anyone know how to fix this?

I've seen a couple of previous posts with comments saying to use the phone's keyboard, but I'm not finding how to make that happen. Watch is a series 6, OS 10.1. Phone is a 13 Pro, OS 17.1

So I have discord installed on my iPhone (12, iOS 17.1). I deleted the app and reinstalled it from AppStore. I can see that I stay logged in Discord when I reinstall the app. How can that happen? Isn't iOS supposed to remove all the data?

Also, in the settings app, I can't see the "offload app" option anymore. What's wrong!? Anyone else facing this?
