if i hold the watch (SE) screen first onto the back iphone (13) camera it vibrates a lot and shows this on the screen?? what does this do? or is this bad for it? i wasn’t told not to do this

Unfortunately my S4 suffered a fall while charging on a tabletop and the glass of the screen shattered, I’ve been looking at my options, I could buy and replace the display myself, I could get it serviced (which costs almost more than the watch itself) or I could look into selling it and buying a new SE gen 2 maybe, what would you recommend me doing? The Series 4 was more than enough I’m not a AW super user in any way shape or form.

I’ve reset my watch a couple of times, tried all the YouTube video suggestions but I still can’t seem to get my Apple Watch to show WhatsApp notifications. Anyone got a fix?

My teenage daughter with special needs recently got an iPhone. I have set parental controls to limit apps at 9 pm. However sometimes she is on the phone instead of homework in the afternoons. I can take the phone from her, but this can be a triggering event. Is there an app or setting that would allow me to lock/unlock the phone remotely or cut off access to the cell tower? With her WiFi TV, I use Gryphon to turn off the Internet, but with her iPhone she can use AT&T's mobile data.

Since a few months we’re using the Apple TV as our main device with which we watch TV. We use the NLZIET app instead of using a setup box from Ziggo or KPN etc.

This works quite well most of the time but…

Since we use the Apple TV more often this way we tend to notice more and more annoyances. These are all connected to the Apple TV remote.

• volume buttons sometimes suddenly don’t work anymore;
• TV button (when pressing once I go back to the main home screen, pressing twice lets me close apps) suddenly doesn’t work anymore;
• occasionally scrolling with the RC in the YouTube app suddenly doesn’t work when using the touchpad part but still works with the buttons (up left right etc).

When testing the second annoyance with my iPhone remote app it also doesn’t work (which rules out a falty remote control imo).

Things always work again after doing a reset of the device or disconnect/reconnect of the remote controller.

Do more people over here have the (exact) same annoyances?

Could it be software related or hardware related?

I dropped my Apple Watch facedown on the floor. The front glass isn’t broken, but the screen acts weird, it refreshes sometimes but it displays warped views of what it should actually be displaying.

Is it possible that the display connector got knocked out during the fall? Or is the screen broken?

My Apple Watch S8 couldn’t read my ECG correctly. I went to an Apple Store where I was seen in 10 minutes, referred to a phone call from apple support and got a phone call 20 minutes later. I spent about 40 minutes with a very helpful advisor from Apple team in the USA who helped me run diagnostics and find a solution.

With AppleCare+ I get a brand new one sent to me (temporarily pay for the price of the watch, will refund when they receive my old one) which is received at 8.30 the next day! It took less than 24 hours to receive a brand new one due to a technical fault and I won’t have to pay a penny as long as I return the old one.

I will get a phone call in a week from the same advisor to check it’s working well. I’ve never had such effective customer service. I’m so glad I paid for this coverage.

Could someone please explain how to remove custom labels from the Contacts app in iOS 17.1? I added these custom labels like "landline" and "spam" a while ago and now wish to delete them, but I can't find an option to do so.

Anyone else's battery tank on the install of the latest Watch OS update? I had to drain and reset the watch several times to just get it to charge to 100%. At first it didn't charge past 25%. And now the 100% charge (which used to last more than a day) is drained within 4 hours. Any suggestions?

While setting up a new iphone 14 pro it had a mandatory software update where it didn’t let me skip. Now its stuck on this screen with the Dots before “install now” rotating. It’s not letting me press that “install now”. Its about 25 minutes installing. What should I do ?

hello, for those who have bought the 15 (or the Pro), are the pictures finally better than iPhone 11?

I had an XS and ‘upgraded’ to a 13 Pro, but have been very disappointed by the over processed images so held off upgrading my partners 11 because she needs photography for her hobbies,

She has said the phone is starting to chug though, ran out of storage long ago, and battery doesn’t last a day anymore, so I am considering a replacement

Will 15 (or Pro) disappoint? Is the computational stuff finally not ruining photos? or should i try to eak out another year?

I will start: I have an M1 macbook pro with 8gb 256ssd that will be 3 years old in a couple of months. It still is blazing fast and works really well.

I went on a 30 minute run today using my Apple Watch Series 8 with a (well fitting) braided solo loop. Of those 30 minutes, my watch recorded a grand total of 14 minutes and 28 seconds of heart rate data - less than 50%.

This is SO frustrating. Tracking heart rate is one of the key use cases of the watch. FWIW I went on another 30 minute run just a few days ago using the same watch and same strap and it recorded heart rate data for over 85% of the time. Nothing different, same position on the wrist etc.

Why does it do this? Does anyone else encounter this issue? Should I return?

My 15 pro max randomly stops/starts charging via USB C cable. I charge it using the supplied cable in the box and apple 20w charging brick.

I realize this today when I plugged it in, left it on the table, and I came back after 1 hour, it barely charged the phone. So i stayed to observe my phone. And soon enough, after a few mins, the screen will light up, the charging will stop and then start again. The screen will turn off after that. Then after a few minutes, the screen will turn on, showing that charging will disconnect then connect again!

What i did was pulled the cable out from the phone’s port, flipped the cable, then plugged it in again. I noticed as well that the port on my phone seems a bit loose? The cable wiggles even when it’s plugged in. After doing this, my 15 pro max didn’t disconnect/connect from charging. It charged normally as it should.

WHAT IS HAPPENING? Anyone experiencing this too??

What is the thinnest/best MagSafe iPhone 15 pro max case? I don’t want to go naked but pretty damn close with this phone.
