Ever since the iOS 17 update my iMessages freezes everytime I open a new text and requires me to quit app and wait a minute to reopen it to load a text. I have a 12 Pro. Am I alone?

iMessages has a syncing paused message on the bottom. It won't allow me to see texts from a few days ago. I've tried to turn on and off cloud sync for iMessages. Reboot the phone.. I can't get it to go away and sync again. Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix?

Ever since WatchOS 10 the music app has felt completely incomprehensible to me and just so annoying.

From my watch face it used to be two clicks for me to turn on my favorite playlist as long as my AirPods were in my ears.

Now, I have to first figure out which device the AirPods are connected to, if they’re already connected to your phone, they won’t witch over to you watch for some reason. When I click on my playlist it doesn’t just shuffle automatically, I have to tap a tiny button in the top right and scroll down to find the shuffle button.

The same thing goes for when you want to look at the upcoming songs, it used to be one click. Now it’s like three and you have to scroll to even get there. And once you’ve got the list up you can’t just bring it down by pressing the crown, you have to actually swipe down which can be really annoying on such a small screen.

The update also drains battery like crazy. If I’ve been listening to music, my series 4 will not make it to the afternoon. On watchOS 9 it could go all day and still have enough battery to track my sleep.

The biggest selling point of Apple Music for me was the fact that it worked so well with my watch but right now I’m considering switching to Spotify.

I see this note that mentions the subscription would be available until 11/30 if canceled today.

Does that mean the others on my plan now can sign up for their own Apple Music plan between today and 11/30 without losing their library?

When I press volume up and power button it just turns off

I was thinking about getting the soundcore liberty 4 nc never mind the name , since i go to the gym and go for my runs with only my apple watch on me (without my phone) i wanted to know how to turn on and off the anc without having my phone to access the soundcore app or is it avilable on the watch please help as it will be a very important deciding factor for me

I’m coming from a Fitbit, where it did these things automatically without any user intervention.

Am I understanding right, that to get sleep tracking, I have to put the Sleep Focus on? and that without the focus turned on, it won’t track my sleep?

As for activity tracking, when the watch prompts me to track activity, will it start the activity from when I started moving, or when I confirm I want the activity to be tracked?

As for medications, is there a way to set it to “When I wake up” as opposed to a set time? I work shifts, so I don’t always take them at the exact same time each day, but would still like a reminder to take them.

Do you charge your Apple Watch twice a day? One before bed for sleep tracking and once again for daily activity? Or can you get a full 24 hours out of it?

In the ‘Books’ app, the books get the cloud icon next to them every time I come back to the app, and I have to reinstall them. Is there a fix for this?

Recently I have noticed that text messages I receive are not showing up as notifications when my phone is locked or unlocked. All other apps are properly showing notifications. The message app shows the number of texts in the red bubble as you would expect.

Solutions I have tried:

1. Notifications settings - made sure messages app has notifications turned on and all three notification types are turned on as well

2. Turned iPhone on and off

3. Hard reset of iPhone. (Up volume/ down volume / power button till reset)

4. Reset all settings

5. Delete message app from Home Screen and re-add

The last option I have is to factory reset my iPhone and set it up as a new iPhone. Before I do that I was hoping someone had a thought or fixed the issue before.

ever since upgrading to the 14 pro max about 2 months ago, whenever i’m typing “i” something predictive text always changes it to an ï despite me never using it once? i only speak english and therefore have never needed to use this, but it gets pretty annoying

Is there any way (or hack, or app) to pull more call history data from my iPhone? Also, is there any way to copy/paste, or save a pdf, or any other way to save this data other than taking loads of screenshots?

I am gathering info for an upcoming court custody case. One very important thing I need to show is my call history for the past 18 months. I know the iPhone only "saves" the 100 most recent calls, so I need to contact my cell provider for history further than that... the problem I'm running into is that the data from my provider doesn't include any FaceTime calls. I need all of it.

The solution Apple Support gave me was to restore old backups over and over again to “go back in time” to take screen shots of what I need. This option make me want to cry.

Please, I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out. It's like the data I need is out there, but I just can't access it.

I saw that the new iPhone 15 pro has 8GB of ram. Also I heard an app called UTM can run Mac OS on iOS. Does this really can work? If so, does usb c accessories like mouse, keyboard, usb hub for screen are supported? I always wanted to use an iPhone as portable Mac and I wonder if know it’s possible. Thanks

When powering off my Apple TV the TV doesn’t turn off and the Apple TV light stays on. The only way to get it to turn off is unplugging it. Along with that the volume buttons have stopped working on the remote. I tried disconnecting the remote and reconnecting. I’ve switched the volume control from Auto to HDMI to TV via IR and to Off. I’ve unplugged the HDMI cord on both sides and plugged in it. I’ve also unplugged the Apple TV and plugged it in. It is currently updated to tvOS 17.1 and there are no updates available. I don’t have the original TV remote. I have yet to do a factory reset but I’d rather not haha. Why isn’t it fixed? What do I do? My volume is so low. Help me. 😭

Isn’t it insane how big phones have gotten overall throughout the years?

I am looking to buy a MacBook for the first time, and these two are very similar in price. However I am unsure which one to get, since they both have their advantages. My main use cases would be programming, writing and casual use, with maybe some more heavy work like Unity for a bit as well. The thing that sells me the most for the M3 is the better screen and potentially more longevity, but do I really need the additional power that comes with it?

Which one would you get?

What third party apps have nice watch face applications/widgets? (And another question: is there an app that can show me my total calories from the fitness app ?)

So suddenly my ATV has no audio. No matter which app I play. While my shield pro that is connected to the same tv works absolutely fine. Both are using the TV speakers. Never had this issue before. I did restart it 2 times to no avail.. anyone knows what’s happening?

Note that offending metal band is one I bought directly from Apple.com with my gold, stainless steel AW6. Never, ever got this message (or horrible battery drain) before 10.1. I’ve alerted Apple online. Nada! 😡

Hello I am an android user a friend gave me his brand new never used iPhone se1 16gb, it is cute but in 2023 the screen looks extremely small I was planning to use it as an MP3 player as my old iPod classic 30 GB my other friends saying that I should try to sell it for 80 buck wich is the price you can buy these devices nowadays. Maybe with that money I can get more accessories for my go pro 😂. Should I keep it as a nice cute device as collection I have a wall plenty with vintage devices like atari, N64, Nokias etcs

Why would I update all the time? There is no easy way to go back, and I never encountered an appleTV update which improved performance. Since the original. I use the my Apple TV device to stream. Apple always wants more. The "last" updates on older devices always the worst. Once fine, they struggle to run. Oh, time to throw it out. Legacy support? Oh too expensive.... Open the hardware for devices out of support....Oh wee can't do that. Most of us are stuck to some degree in the "ecosystem" in 2023. Where is the "focus" upgrade to have apple leave us alone, till we feel like risking an upgrade?
