I received an iMessage from a random number earlier in the morning, it was edited before I saw it, but there’s two blank bubbles between the edits. Are these other edits or something else?

Hello guy, yesterday i bought a iphone 11 from a guy who says the phone cant make calls. I bought it for 100 dollar. He told me that he thinks its the card reader.

- the imei still showing up so the baseband isnt damaged i think

- when i put sim in the mobile recognize a sim, but it wont tell what sim it is and it will search for a minute then it says no service.

I've never owned an iphone but I want to try one as my android phone is about to die. First one that came to my mind was the IPhone13 for the price, but maybe there are better models with the same price range. Could you help me? Also, the camera is not a huge priority to me. Thanks!

With voice messages, why does Apple continue to keep that feature so at the forefront?

I shoot a lot and mostly in 4k . Though I won't be doing it daily but let's say I go on a work trip for a few days(maybe once or twice a month) ,will shooting in 4k 30fps eat my 128gb easily? considering I'll probably have a few heavy games installed like Pubg. Will I have to constantly move the files on my laptop or pc ? I'm asking cuz my budget is tight and so I can either get stander 15 256gb or 15 plus 128gb . Will the extra screen and battery be worth sacrificing the 256gb ?

I’ve just got an Apple Watch 8 and can’t see the ring camera app under the notifications section on the watch, it’s saying online you can have it notify you when ring camera is rang. I have the notifications all turned on via iphone but don’t have that option on watch, can this be done does anyone know?

How do I fix this? I don’t want private browsing to be default safari when I open it. It seems sketchy

I want to gift someone with an iPhone 8 running iOS 16 an apple watch. I’m currently set on a used series 8. AFAIK iOS 16 supports watchOS 9 witch the series 8 shipped with. However i’m concerned if the used watch has been updated to watchOS 10 it won’t pair with the phone.

Like many others, I have been reporting battery draining issues to Apple for the past 2.5 months (ever since upgrading from WatchOS 9). I had high hopes that watch OS 10.1.1 was going to resolve this issue however it has done absolutely nothing.

I have a watch series 4 with a 100% capacity battery that was just replaced a month ago. The moment I turn on playlists on my watch, my battery drains excessively, I’m talking 40% in 1.5 hours. As soon as I disable the playlists on my watch and restart my watch, my battery drain stops and I get at least 24 hours out of it.

Does anyone else have playlists enabled on their watch? If so what series watch do you have and how is your battery life?

Hey folks! I recently got a metal credit card and it just sticks to the back of my iPhone 12. I was wondering if it is safe for the phone and as well as the card to keep it like that when I travel. I would obviously put a cover so the whole thing would be: phone's back + card + cover. I know that I could get a cover which has a place for a card but for reasons I don't want to get into, I'd like to avoid that.

Will keeping the metal card and phone in touch all the time harm either? Take into consideration heating when outside or using the phone. I won't obviously have it like that when I'm charging. Thanks!

Lately my 15 PM has been doing this thing where when I type in a number and press dial it automatically is activating speakerphone. I thought it was a matter of detecting the phone wasn’t next to my face and trying to be convenient but even if I hold the phone up to my face all of a sudden you get speaker phone levels of volume in your ear which is frustrating to say the least. Anyone else having this? I already have it set in automatic under the "Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing"

So I have two primary ways I use CEC to control my home entertainment system:

1. When using Apple TV as the primary source.

I press the "main" [top right] button on my Apple remote. AppleTV comes on, turns on my receiver and TV. Generally works well.

2. Playing high definition music stored on my NAS.

I'm using a software product called Roon. I start the client on my PC which connects to the server on my NAS and streams the FLAC files on my server to my OPPO 4K Blueray player which in turn streams them to my receiver for playing. In this process I'm using a Harmony universal remote to turn on the receiver, set the receiver to the OPPO's input and also turn on the TV. The AppleTV is "off" as evidenced by the front light not being lit.

The problem with this latter sequence is that the AppleTV, virtually every time, decides to wake itself up and reset the receiver's input to AppleTV requiring me to manually reset the receiver's input to the Oppo. Sometimes I have to do this three or four times, as the AppleTV can't seem to really believe it's neither needed or wanted.

Anyone seen similar issues with AppleTV taking over control when not wanted and have suggestions? This has been a long term problem: back before I moved all my streaming over to the Apple TV from my FireTV Cube, I literally neutered the Apple TV by using an HDMI adapter that blocked all CEC commands into and out of the APPLE streamer.

Looking to get a S9 in either Silver or Starlight 45mm. Really like the trail loops from the ultra but wondering if the titanium lugs would look better against the silver or Starlight?

Still not sure on Starlight, I looked at it for so long in the Apple Store I just was torn between it and Silver! I will be using mainly black/grey/blue bands. Maybe silver is better for those colours?

Anyone using trail loops on their S8/9 - any pics?

(As of 2023) I would like to get an apple watch however solely for the single purpose of Camera Control. (Native Camera app and possibly GoPro) what option is best?

I dont fully understand the series' and SE and looking to just get something pre-owned/cheaper off ebay. The only thing I care about is that the mirroring is flawless/instantaneous so I imagine maybe older watches are a bit slow but that could just be guessing.

States phone has an update awaiting but is giving me this instead. Anybody else having any issues with this?

It’s been 2 weeks since I applied a torras screen protector on my iphone 15 pro and the screen is kinda starting to get sticky to touch. I’m guessing it’s the oleophobic coating on the screen wearing off?

I’ve been using my iPhone for work for a year at my home office and all has been fine. Suddenly a couple days ago, in the middle of calls I wouldn’t be able to hear the other person and they couldn’t hear me. Happened a few times with a couple different people.

Now just straight up nobody can hear me. Reset my phone, checked settings, tried my Google voice number, recorded myself and my mic is still working for non-phone calls.

Any advice??
