Need advice about factory reset vs. the reset that doesn’t make you redownload everything - and if you know the answer to fix some of the glitches

My 13 pro is just acting up in too many ways and no update is solving the problems – – and don’t know if my phone hardware is the fault or earlier updates that. Caused the problems. ((Note: in the previous sentence, look how dictation added a period after word “that” and then capitalized the word caused.

In the last few weeks, my battery percentage is eaten up very quickly, to the point that I can’t even use my Bluetooth AirPods because they eat up tons of battery (and why is that)? I use the microphone button most of the time to do my typing, and it used to work just fine. Recently, in all of my apps, it keeps inserting commas out of nowhere, and no longer spells words correctly that it should intuitively know in context (“someone forgot THEY’RE shoes”). It also It also repeats phrases that I’verepeats phrases that I’ve said. (See, it just did it) When I’m reading a webpage, after a few paragraphs, it automatically scrolls to the bottom, and if I try to scroll back up, it jumps right back to the bottom. Previously when I’ve had this many problems, Applecare, suggest that I do a reset. I have so many apps and can’t remember most of the passwords for them, and have customized so many settings on the phone itself that I will never remember all the things I have done. I tried to take pictures of my Settings, but there are too many settings within each setting. What is the kind of reset that doesn’t wipe your phone completely? Any advice, and you’re a great person if you made it all the way to the end of this rambling message😎

I am trying to install the non-beta version of 17.1.1 and whenever i tap Update Now, a pop up saying "Verifying Update" appears and never verifies. I even let it sit for a few hours, it still won't verify. I already tried removing and putting my sim back in the phone again.

I have a hand pain and weird sensation, tingling like electric shock or radiation from using iphone 14 even when not charging. Please dont tell me it's a medical issue I did all checkups and electric shock or pain comes even if I am not holding the phone .. only touching from top whe it's on a table. No issue with the iPad which is bigger in size and no issue with my other Samsung and iphone6.

I’ve found one for a great price (140$) and with a battery at 100% (owner changed the battery after selling).

The Face ID doesn’t work though and I only need the phone until probably the new year as I’m using an iPhone 7 stuck on iOS 14 (long story) which means apps don’t work anymore and it lags quite badly.

The phone is a clean unit, no scratches and dents and I’ve checked the IMEI online and it’s not a stolen phone. The seller even sent me proof of the receipt when he purchased it.

I’m a moderate user (Reddit and Instagram mostly). Should I go for it or just wait until I can afford a better phone (saving up for the iPhone 15 Pro)?

And how does the camera hold up in 2023? I like taking photos and I’m just hoping the photos I take will look decent on social media.

I have the encrypted file of the backup through itunes on my pc, and i’ve been using it as pseudo storage since it had over 100gb of pictures and videos and my phone (128gb) needed more space for other files. But until I can get a phone with bigger storage or figure out something else, the file is in cold storage for now.

Would the file be obsolete in a few months if I keep it as is?

I had my settings open, she tapped something, touched the top of my phone, I felt a vibration, screen said something about a contact, but I don’t see anything. Do I have to be worried about anything?

I’ve compared my iPhone 14 to my friend’s iPhone 13 Pro and his scrolling is smooth, buttery and doesn’t have this weird blur effect mine does. Is there any fix to this??? Sometimes it’ll stutter too.

Hello, recently my touchscreen started to not work while everything else would. I have been using the force restart but now it won't help. My new phone comes tomorrow but I really need to get a backup of my current phone, but the way the device is setup, it needs permission to connect to a computer every single time, and since I can't use touchscreen I am not able to do that. Does anyone have any solutions to being able to access it even for a short time?

Which is better ? Apple or PC ? And I don’t wanna hear it depends on what you need it for and all that other BS. Which one ???!

Trying to solve my mom's iPhone notes issue. She can receive notes sent to her email but not to her cell phone. So, if we share a note to her via text, she can't open. But if we share it to her email address, she can open it. I'm assuming its a permissions issue to have both her cell and email as notes recipients... Where can I solve this? Thanks!

I'm not interested in an android vs iOS debate, just looking for some help from fellow iPhone users with adjusting some settings on an iPhone I have for work. A few things I'm wondering how to do:

• when I use the volume buttons to turn it all the way down, some notifications still make noise. Is there a way to see/adjust volume for notifications and media?

• is there a way to make the keyboard bigger (without turning the phone sideways)? My work requires using an OtterBox and my stubby fingers struggle with the small keyboard with that case

• when dialing a phone number, how do I turn off the sound it makes with every number press? I flipped the little switch on the side of the phone into silent which stopped this noise, but I'd like to still be able to hear when I'm getting a call.

• does apple have something like Bixby routines? For example, I'd like for it to detect when my location is at the office and automatically adjust the volume and brightness when I arrive, then revert when I leave. Also, when my android connects to my car Bluetooth, I set it up to open maps and Spotify in split screen automatically. Is there a way I can do this?

I’ve basically only ever had iPhones. I was taught to let the battery die completely out of the box and then charge it up from there. Is this still true?

I had the 11 pro max since the release date and just upgraded a day and a half ago.

I’m in love with the dynamic island and everything else (came from a 13 pro max)

This keeps popping up while playing assorted game apps. It doesn’t appear to be an ad from the game but who knows

Updated my series 9 yesterday to 10.1.1 and since then my notifications have been hit and miss or none at all. Kinda annoying as missing texts and phone calls. Tried turning watch on and off and going through settings but nothing working to fix problem. Anyone else experiencing this?

I just saw an Samsung ad of them filming a short film on their Samsung phone i wonder where they got that idea from 🤔

I was on iphone for 7 years switched to samsung and now I have better everything. Hope I trigger some people. 🖕🏻

Not even sure if I can post this here. Is it just me or is this Anker power brick being forced down our throat? I’m getting a million ads for this thing everywhere with influencers peddiling it. I’ve never seen this type of aggressive marketing on any product, ever.

I live on a college campus and tonight I got like 5 notifications in a row after going to a club meeting saying that an AirTag was detected near me. I clicked on the notification, and it was tracking my location from my meeting to the dorm. Is this just a glitch? I’m a young woman so I’m just a tad worried and my parents aren’t helping 😭 I wouldn’t really think much of it but the walk was like 15 mins and it kept track the whole way

I work with some blind people that can't read so I need to make my texts as big as possible so they understand.

On pictures it seems like the AW Ultra titanium shade is more silver than the natural iPhone Pro, which would make the white iPhone match better to me.

Does somebody have an AW Ultra with either a white or natural iPhone and can share a side by side picture? Thanks!
