I've been an android user ever since I've had a phone, and I've been looking to switch to an iphone. I was looking at used ones and found one that said the network was verizon. If I buy this phone, would I have to pay for service every month? I've never had service before and I only plan on using the phone with wifi, so I would prefer to not pay for service if I'm not gonna use it. Sorry if the question sounds dumb lol.

I want the oldest, cheapest watch I can get that doesn’t sacrifice any of the major features new watches have that help with adhd.

I need smth I can use for calendars, timers, pomodoro method, and tracking things I’d usually forget about like water, exercise, and sleep

I don’t need games or text notifications or anything like that, just functions that help with productivity

What model would y’all recommend?

(Also if there are any smartwatch functions that you think would be useful for me to keep an eye out for when buying, please mention them)

Hey all I got the light blue iPhone 15, set it up as a new phone without transferring anything, and updated to the latest iOS update. I have tried several different cards, but for whatever reason Apple Pay doesn't seem to activate when I try them in a store. I double tap the side-button, the card shows up, but the transaction never happens. It's like the wireless chip whatever the name is doesn't work. Has anyone heard of this issue? Likely hardware issue or software issue? I don't have any Apple Store nearby unfortunately.

My reminders aren't vibrating. I recently updated to watchOS 10.1.1.

I have been using my AppleTV 4K just fine with my 48” LG OLED and set to Dolby Vision. Everything was fine until I decided to run all my cables through the wall. I bought new 8K cables. And now I’m having so many problems unless I set the AppleTV to 1080 SDR. I get the black screen and the stream pauses. I have tried changing so many settings and combinations on the TV and the AppleTV. I’ve changed inputs on the TV.

I hate having to thread the old cable through the wall, but I guess that’s my next step.

Could the 8K cable be causing the problem?

Ok so I know you’ve all tested yours a bit. Ordered 2 new 15 plus today and need cases. My son hates the stick on screen protectors so a built in one is a must. Give me your recommendations please.

I have tried VLC to a SMB folder on my NAS but it won't launch the file.

When doing an outdoor walk do I still need to swing my arm for steps or will the GPS location while walking take over for steps/distance? Thinking if I have my hand in my pockets and not swinging my arm during a cold Fall/winter walk.

Hey guys, I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max (256gb) and I was wondering what if I decide to take Apple Care and later on my phone breaks. I still have 31 days to decide.

In that case, what would it happen if I decide to take it to the Apple Store? Would it be changed? Will I get a discount for a new one if they can’t repair it?

Apple has stopped selling the iPhone 14 ever since the iPhone 15 got out so I was wondering if I should care about Apple Care or not.

When charging my iPhone 15 using MagSafe, I've been getting a lot of "charging on hold" notifications.

For those who don't know, the iPhone will stop charging when it gets too hot. According to Apple, this might happen when your phone has been sitting in the sun or maybe you're playing a video game while charging.

But that's not the case with me. My iPhone screen is locked, with the display off, and no background tasks running... yet it will often stop charging due to heat issues when charging with MagSafe. This is not something I have ever experienced with previous phones. (And, just to be clear, I've had this phone for a month or so.)

Shouldn't I be able to just plop my phone on a MagSafe charger and fully charge to 100% without ever getting a "charging on hold" notification?

Is anyone else who's charging an iPhone 15 with MagSafe having this issue? What has your experience been like? Is it just me? Or is this a common problem?

Does anybody have any recommended settings so I can accurately track my walking and step count on cruise? I have an Ultra 1. Step counts are normal, but doing loops at sea on a moving ship is wreaking havoc on my daily mileage. 😁 I'm sure it's GPS and I suppose that I could shut it off, but would that affect my tracking?

So i got a new iphone 13 a couple weeks back. I also bought an adapter(not from an apple store) and got a charging cable with it as well. I used the charging cable that i received in the box with the adapter and it wouldn’t charge, it would show that it’s charging but the battery would decrease. It only charges when i use the cable i got with that adapter Sometimes i even feel my phone lags a bit and works slowly when i use the charger and today it felt laggy even while using normally.

so yesterday my sim randomly disconnected and after restarting my phone (iPhone 15 Pro Max) it worked again with no issues. Today's morning the sim was connected but locked and I cannot unlock it now. When I try to enter the code it says it's wrong but it also doesn't lower the amount of attempt I have left. I can infinetly try codes and it doesn't lock me out. Any ideas on how I can fix it so I can unlock my sim again?

What are your thoughts ?

My Apple Watch will randomly long vibrate on my wrist and dim the screen into whatever this is. The white dots look like the Star Wars intro. It doesn’t happen often but it’s so strange when it does. Any help is appreciated!

i I’ve tried multiple shops it’s not the battery, screen or motherboard so it sounds like some internal issue. I don’t plan to ship my phone far unless anyone has a reputable site/company. I prefer someone in DC, MD or VA. Im not sending it to apple to pay $400 to get it fixed which is more than half of what i paid for the damn thing.

I’d like to know if there are apps to store my videos and the best ways I can transfer videos such as movies. I have a iPhone 15 pro max and will be traveling so I’d like to watch movies while I’m en route.

I know services like Disney+ and Netflix and etc let you download movies/shows on their apps but I’m talking about videos I can transfer from my computer to my iPhone.

I like that I can play podcasts from my watch when my phone is not near me. But I don't love how hard it is to manage which episodes are on it. So, two questions:

What is this icon for when I swipe and episode left?

And how do you play an episode that is not downloaded, using the local wifi instead of bluetooth from my phone? The whole house has wifi, so I'd like to be able to clean the house without my phone on me.
