When “reduce white point” is on, you cannot change “colour filters”. However if you turn off reduce white point and then change colour filters and then turn reduce white point back on, everything works. Is this also a problem you face?

Hello all, I just got a case for my Series 9 and though it actually looks and feels quite good, the screen looks…blurry? I’m not sure how to describe it, it’s just obviously a lower quality. None of the commenters on Amazon mentioned it and either I received a defective product or this is to be expected? There are dots all over the screen protector, very tiny, if you zoom in you’ll probably see what I mean. Did I get a defective product or has anyone else experienced this?

Hello I have a M2 MacBook Air. It’s connected via HDMI to an external monitor (ASUS). At random times the monitor screen would just blackout for a second and come back on. Does anyone else have this issue? If so is there a solution for it? Please and thank you. P.S I already checked to make sure that all the cables are connected properly, and also I’m using a HMDI switcher.

I’m trying to help my grandmother export all of the photos and videos on her phone to her computer, and I have run into two issues.

First of all, I have no idea how to bring videos to the computer. I’m using an Apple charger to connect her iPhone to her PC, and all I can see are .jpeg images. No video files.

Second of all, I want to convert all the LIVE photos on her phone to regular jpeg files. I know how to do it with individual photos, but we’re talking hundreds of pictures here. It will be tedious as hell if I have to go through and convert them each individually. This is why I want to find a way to convert them all at once.

I’m a photographer and sometimes have to capture a series of locations around a sq mile area. I use my iPhone and google maps to save a list of places and then walk to each pin point. Would I be able to view this overview map on an Apple Watch in either maps or google maps. I really want one as it would make work easier than having to grab my phone the whole time. I can’t find any info online about this. Thank you so much.

CURRENTLY: I have a 13 inch M1 MacBook Pro (touchbar) with 8gb of ram and 256 of memory. I get the spinning rainbow-mouse with some frequency and some major slowdowns at work, especially during demos over zoom/teams/g-meet, which is the worst time for your computer to slow down. I’m just not knowledgeable enough to make a good long term upgrade decision and would love some suggestions.

WORKFLOW: I usually have 30 chrome tabs open, with documents, spreadsheets, salesforce, outreach, some Human Resource CRM’s, and reviewing client websites. I also use around 10 apps, such as Slack, WhatsApp, parallels (one stupid app has to run in windows), word, excel… and I’m on zoom calls all day screen sharing all the aforementioned tabs/apps.

GOAL: I just want to get the job done without any slowdowns. 1 external monitor is fine, I don’t care about a higher screen refresh rate, higher brightness, better speakers is not important. I would keep my current computer if it was getting the job done. Seems like a horsepower issue but I don’t know if that’s related to only having 8gb of ram (as I’ve been told that ram is the root of the issue I’m facing) or something else. So I’ve been thinking about the M2 15 inch air with 16 GB of ram. But not sure if I should spend a couple hundred more for the new 14 inch M3 pro with 16 GB of ram.

I think I would prefer a 15inch screen, I like the thinner air for travel, and the price is cheaper… but most important is getting my job done smoother. Again, not trying to get any new features or anything fancier than what I already have. I just need more power and I just don’t understand if it’s a ram issue or a chip issue or what I need to have my workflow run smooth as butter. Slowdowns are impacting my client facing demos and internal meetings so whatever the best solution is I’m game.

So my weekday alarm went off this morning which obviously wasn’t fantastic. Has anyone else noticed an issue with alarms?

AM I LOSING MY MIND OR IS MY IPHONE KEYPAD SUDDENLY OUT OF SYNC AND LAGGY AND WRITING THE WRONG LETTERS.

My mom’s iPhone got stolen while she was out shopping, Find My iPhone is enabled but we’re stuck because:

1. She doesn’t remember her Apple ID

2. The linked gmail address has 2FA

3. Email does not have an alternative backup option enabled

What’s the best bet to try and find it?

Hey all. I'm currently a high schooler, looking into buying a MacBook for myself. I'd like to get into producing music, as it's something I've long dreamed of doing, and I feel like a MacBook is the best choice of all the laptops I've looked at. However, I'm unsure of whether I need the extra power of a MacBook Pro, or if I can get away with saving money by getting a MacBook Air. I'd like to spend as little as possible, but I am very afraid that cheaping out will backfire on me and cost me more later. What do you all recommend I go with?

Two additional things to note:

1: Whatever I end up buying, will most likely be a used machine that's a couple of years old. I don't have the money to pay Apple's prices for a shiny, new machine.

2: Whatever I end up getting, I'll probably also use when I go to college, if that matters at all.

Hi all

I need help with a couple of issues with iPhones. I myself use Android however my mum and my kids are on iPhones (11 and 12s) and they were facing the below. All phones are updated in terms of iOS and apps.

1. Twice or thrice a week they will have no internet. They're connected to WiFi but if I go to settings it'll say no internet connection under the WiFi name. All other devices in the house will be working except for one of the iPhones. The only solution has been to shut down and restart the phones.

2. My mum uses VPN (private internet access) to make WhatsApp calls as they don't work in Saudi without a VPN and this app would stop connecting every day. The only solution has been to close the app (by swiping up).

3. My mum would be trying to make a phone call with WhatsApp and it'll say couldn't place a call as there is no internet. All other apps are able to connect to internet. The only solution is to close the app by swiping up.

Anyone faced these issues before and have permanent solutions?

Every once in a while, my watch will vibrate and then the center of the screen will start glowing like this. I’ve seen it on Lunar and Modular. I don’t know what it means. Any clues????

My iPhone se 2nd gen broke. Its touchscreen is completely unresponsive. I have had it for 3 years and never had any issue with it until now.

I just turned off the phone and when I turned it back on, it broke. I force restarted it and it worked for like a day before it went back to freezing. I got the screen replaced but it didn't work. They said it might be a motherboard issue. Then, the next day, the phone died, when I went to charge it again, the screen started working! 3 hours later, screen was broken again. smh.

I really need this phone because I have all my contacts, pictures, and apps on it. My icloud hasn't backed up in like 2 years. Does anybody have any idea on what happened and what I can do to fix it and transfer its data to my new phone? HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Apple stated that keyboard haptics use more battery, but I really like the feeling of it when typing. What about you?

Hello everyone. Long time lurker. First post in this sub.

I have 2 2017 4K boxes and just got a 2022 4K box. I’m running into an issue on two of the three TVs where Dolby Vision and HDR modes look blown out on the Home Screen. The default opinion here is to set it to SDR with match Range and Frame Rate set to ON.

The problem I’m running into, are apps that don’t support the feature. Apps like YouTube TV, Peacock, Fox Sports, Max, etc… What’s the general consensus of how to deal with this? Turn on HDR with a blown out Home Screen in order to watch football, then turn it off when done? Seems like a less than stellar setup.

My setups are:

58” Samsung TU700D, blown out HDR, no DV

55” Vizio M55-F0, displays everything perfectly

43” Vizio M43Q6-J04, blown out HDR and DV

No matter how much I make sure the DND mode is on (because it’s highlighted and because a little moon icon shows at the top) I still receive notifications from people specifically this really clingy person. Let’s say this person is Shawn White. Well I go into the DND setting where it says choose dnd for someone in specific and I specifically select Shawn. I might not get notified of the messages (maybe) but his freaking calls still come through and it just defeats the whole purpose. As I wrote this, I verbally asked Shawn to call me which my phone is supposedly on dnd right now and the call still came through with the audacity of vibrating as well. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG 😭😭😭😭

Just wanna know why it changed out of nowhere.
