Hello I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation of what battery to get for my A1322 macbook pro. I bought a cheap one and the battery life isn't long enough and I need something that will last about 5 hours.

mom’s iphone 11 pro flashing between black screen and apple logo, turned on once, another time it showed to connect to a laptop which i did connect it to my macbook but nothing has popped up on my macbook. iphone is low on storage but its never done this before. my mom has a knack for messing up phones since she drops them often and has ran over them in her power chair on a few occasions lmao

Got a 15 Pro yesterday. ProMotion doesn’t seem to apply to the native Maps app. What gives?

I have setup a child account for my son's phone, and when he wants to install an app it sends me a text request, however there's no accept or deny. It just gives me an option to view the app in the app store. When I follow the text link and view it in the store I get the option to install it on my phone, but no option to approve his purchase. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for a solution, but they all suggest that I should have the option to review the purchase instead of just "View in store". Where am I going wrong? TIA

So I’m trying to decide between an Oura ring, Whoop, and a Apple Watch Ultra 2. I am in no means in athlete and am in an average health. I’m looking for a tracker to be able to give me insights into how I am sleeping, recovery levels, and basic workout tracking and other health metrics. I’m more interested in things like how does how much I sleep or how much alcohol I have to drink affect my wellbeing instead of how well I recover from a workout. Would the Apple Watch be good for this or should I consider the other options above?

Hello! My friend and I typically message using the Signal app. Yesterday he took a few of those motion/moving photos that I really love, but when he sends them to me (I have the Google pixel 6 pro) they just send as stills. He says there's no way for me to get them as moving photos unless I have an iPhone. Is that true?? There has to be a way!

Went to sleep yesterday with 55% battery Woke up after 8 hours was off with battery completely drained. I have the ultra 2 and I bought it just a week ago. Has anyone else experienced something like that? Should I take it to Apple for a replacement??

I have the latest version of  tv 4k. Everything I watch through it is darker than the built in Samsung tv apps. I didn’t see anything in the settings to change the brightness. My tv is about three years old and some of the Samsung apps are getting sclerotic so I would prefer to use the  box. Any thoughts how to lighten the  picture? TIA

I keep my devices for a long time. I’m currently using an iPhone 8 and have a 5 that sees daily use as well.

Now that Apple has switched to putting the newest chip in the 15 Pro and last years chip in the 15 would it be worth it to get the Pro when looking at using a phone for 6-8 years?

I had a 12 Pro Max before and switched to the 15 Pro now. I really like the smaller size. The 12 Pro Max was just too big.

I really love the Dynamic Island. It has such a great integration in iOS. They really did make a (kinda) problem to a fantastic feature. Also finally USB-C!!! And the pictures this phone takes, it‘s just so good. I didn‘t think I would see such a big improvement since my 12 Pro also did take really good pictures, bit this is really next level.

I don‘t really have anything that I don‘t like. It works really well.

Ever since the last update, I’ve been having apps get stuck on the splash screen. It isn’t all the time but when it happens even a restart won’t fix it. I’ll just come back a couple hours later and the app works again. No updates pending, I’ve done everything but restore my phone at this point. Anyone else having this issue?

I’m having trouble getting my iPhone to track my activity stats. The watch does it just fine but can’t seem to translate it between the two. I’ve tried restarting them and refreshing the settings. It’s weird too because via the Health app, it is clearly registering steps but not communicating it into the fitness app.

Hi, a friend of mine is buying 15 pro from Canada for me (I’m in India) and I have a few questions

1. Does he need to specify somewhere to get an international model? He will most probably buy online from the apple website where no specifications like that are asked.

2. Just want to confirm - there are physical sim slots in Canada’s iPhones, right?

So basically the wallpaper on my homescreen is blurred cause I like it that way

The thing is when I switch to focus mode a separate wallpaper appears which is fine but when I turn off focus mode the wallpaper which I had gets unblurred for some reason even though in the settings it shows as blurred

I had to abandon Mac many years ago to survive with a job that only allowed windows and the fam and - you know just did not have the capacity to do work raise kids and live a bi-technical life

I recently purchased a MacBook and have been moving to use it full time. In general I LOVE it.

My current dilemma is figuring out how to make it store word documents in the directly I want *on* my Mac. I would be "semi" okay with cloud storage if it did not use the cryptic gibberish reference I previously had only seen when I install and configure servers and the app I implement for the job I've done for the last decades.

why is this platform interface and options so abysmal, *and* please, if you know how do I tell word (and I assume excel and powerpoint which I have not yet used but will) where the f I want my docs. I did not buy gigabytes of storage space on this for them to languish.

so bottom line the real question is how to even find the option - the menu structure is also completely different

I had no idea you could do this. But I just found out that when long pressing on a folder where badge is showing you can see a preview of which apps are flagging a badge. Kind of useful if you have multiple apps in a single bundle and don’t want to scroll through them all to find which is sending a notification. Probably useless or known for most but I have seen much more useless tips on YouTube 😅

So I regularly wake up in the morning and clean out my email inboxes of unwanted mail by swiping the unwanted email to trash.

Problem is a second after trashing them, they reappear. I’ve tried several times each but still they come back. Tried shutting down a rebooting. Same problem. Anyone else ever have this experience? I so were you able to resolve?

SOLVED (I THINK): Looks like it needed me to re-enter the account password for like the fifth freakin’ time! 😡

Hi, can I change the standard apps on iPhone? For instance, when I click on an email on a website, it forces me to download the apple mail app but its so incredibly shit.

Can I change it somehow? iPhone is a nice phone but their mail and siri are so bad, I wish I could change the standard apps like in Windows, and siri to google.

Left my phone on top of another phone and then the devices read as “connected” and I could see my contact photo on the other device. What’s the full extent of the connected state? Does it only exchange contact info, or are there more bits of info sent over? Asking here because I cannot find any information on this anywhere else for some reason.

I’m at 6gb music after adding some Christmas albums. Is the limit still 8gb? Overall I’m at 15 gb used out of 32GB total.

Is the streaming quality only 64K according to Google?
