Just received my 15 Pro Max today, and my wife got her 15 Pro 2 weeks prior, which we were (and still are) very excited about!

Got some USB-A to USB-C cables from Baseus, but I'm surprised they're not working with the new phones. They're not charging them, nor are PCs recognizing any device when I use the cables to connect.

The cables themself work with other devices - they charge other USB-C devices just fine.I've tried different charging bricks, different cables (1m and 2m) and ofc different phones (15 Pro and 15 Pro Max).Also I've tried it with the phones caseless, as a case might cause the plug not to fit precisely.

The exact cables models are:

Baseus CAWJ000001 (1m cable)

Baseus CAYS001402 (2m cable)

What am I missing here? Why are these cables not working with iPhones?

I brought a brand new iPhone 12 my battery health went from 100 to 97 in one month with 72 cycles I had iPhone 8 Plus with like 600 charge cycles with 86 battery health for over 5 years of use! I use original iPhone charger What’s the problem?!

Just hate how it takes up half the screen anytime I wanna use emojis and have to scroll over to see all my recent ones. Anyone know? iPhone 13 Pro Max if that helps

Received an email this morning from Apple, they are raising their AppleTV rate from $6.99 to $9.99, that over a 42% increase. Frankly, without a new Ted Lasso in the future (wishful thinking) I am not intrigued by any of their other content. And like others, I have some other streaming services such as Netflix who has also raised their rates recently so maybe it’s time to say good bye to AppleTV.

Hi I got my 15pro on the release day and now I’m wondering if i should get applecare+ or get an airpod instead. I’m wondering how much a battery replacement really costs and is it worth it to buy the extended warranty? Considering it also covers accidental damage

Bought a secondhand m1 the other day and it was missing the left shift key. Bought new keycaps and hinges not realizing until I saw a video showing the replacement that there is supposed to be a stabilizer bar that is not present on this machine. I cannot find these for purchase anywhere. Anyone have any ideas where I could find these parts?

Am I the only one seeing this? I can’t get the color “Alaskan Blue” to clear from my face colors list. It’s not a default color and I can’t find it under the face color add they added a while back. The color is stuck there. I’m on 10.1.1 watchOS and 17.1.1 in iOS. I even selected all the colors (I’m using the “Color” watch face)

Anyone else seeing this?

For some reason my phone thinks I’m in Scottsdale, Arizona. My Amazon account says it, I have to change the zip code over & over despite my saved addresses being where I actually live (San Diego). My Tiktok only shows me videos from Arizona. Restaurants, attractions. Its so annoying. I block accounts & press don’t show me this but I still get video after video of Arizona. I was on a job search website & it was only showing me jobs in Arizona. I changed the zip code to my zip code but everytime the page refreshed it was back to Scottsdale. I’ve never even been to Arizona & my phone number is a San Diego area code. Is this an iPhone setting? My location services are on.

I plan to get my first Apple Watch (Series 9). My concern is the durability level. I do running and pool swimming almost every days, there will be sweat and treated water in touch with the watch so should I be expecting color peeling? is the screen crack easily from your experience? I knocked my previews watches against a desk or a wall multiple time but luckily got nothing worse than a scratch.

I just purchased my watched earlier today. Upon unboxing, it says battery was low so I had to charge it while setting up. I charged it to 48% then I noticed it drained fast (2 hours at that). I thought Apple Watches survive for like a week with one charge cycle. Then when I got home I charged it again, after 30 minutes, it's full. Then after a few minutes of usage, it's already at 88% 😭 is this even normal?

I'm trying to find a way to use my MacBook with its lid closed, without having it plugged into an AC power source. I know that normally, using a MacBook in clamshell mode requires it to be connected to power, along with an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard. However, I'm looking for a solution that allows me to use the MacBook in closed-lid mode without being near a power outlet.

Currently, I've been using a workaround where I place a small rectangle to prop the screen open just enough so it looks closed, but I just want to know if there's a more official/normal way to do this. Is it possible to have the MacBook screen closed and still use an external monitor, without the MacBook going into sleep mode, all while not connected to an AC adapter?

So last night I was using my Apple earbuds and suddenly heard a conversation where a man with a Scottish accent was talking to a “Kate” about work. He sounded annoyed at her and then sounded like he was walking out and closing a door. It sounded very clear and very loud.

I checked my phone and there wasn’t anything playing in the drop down screen where my Apple Music is. The last thing on there was a song. I was looking at my YouTube feed at the time, but again nothing from there matches what I heard. I did see that my Live Listen was suddenly on though. I hadn’t knowingly turned it on.

As soon as I started talking to my boyfriend about it the sound/conversation disconnected. Whether that was because I was talking, or because their conversation had finished I’m not sure.

The thing is my neighbour next door has a grown up daughter called Kate who lives with her. Could I have connected to her, or just be mistaken as to what was on my phone at the time?

This company just makes a bunch of overpriced products that are expected to break after a year or 2 of ownership so they can continue to make us keep replacing them. Every single one of my Apple products have some sort of defects: battery runs out within 30 mins of usage for my AirPods, battery doesn’t even last a day without charging on my iphone13, and the worst of all, their $600 AirPods Max headphones won’t even connect properly after one year.

Sorry about the rant but I have completely lost faith in their products and this company. I hope any average consumers will see this and understand that their Apple products are going to have problems after owning them for a short period of time.

I recently bought an external monitor so i can use it in clamshell mode. I use it for around 10 hours a day. So, what is the safest way to use it so i don’t ruin the battery health? Is it ok to always leave it plugged in all the time? I think these are the ways how people use clamshell mode. I was wondering which would be the better way ?

1. powering both macbook and monitor separately (140W power brick)
2. powering monitor and charging macbook via USB C (max delivery 80W)
3. powering monitor and charging macbook only when required using Amphetamine. (140W power brick)

After few month of considering between Mac mini and MacBook I finally decided and got what I thought will be perfect for me: MacBook Air M2.

As I'm new in Mac world I was wondering if there is any tips that this community can give me? Is there any apps that are "must" for user?
