I upgraded from an iPhone 12 Pro Max to a 15 pro last night and after I set it up from my last iCloud backup, everything seemed good. I’ve been sending and receiving texts, and making calls, however, I got a random voicemail in my inbox this morning that I never had a record of a call for. I called a family member and asked her to give me a call back, and she texted me and let me know it went right to voicemail.

Did I miss something in the setup process? Is there any reason I wouldn’t be able to receive calls. I saw something about eSim in the phone box but I’m not sure if that’s an optional feature or something I need to complete in order to have a working phone.

Currently on hold with Verizon and they are no help. Any ideas of what it could be?

I truly don’t care nor want cellular on my watch. I always have my phone with me. I also don’t care to spend an extra $10 plus a month for it as well. I’ve tried looking it up but have had no luck in finding the information. Any insight would be appreciated.

So I’ve been using Assistive Touch on my Series 4 and it’s surprisingly effective! Dismiss alarms, answer calls, control media. Isn’t that exactly what Double Tap is? Apple needs to stop with the software locking.

I keep getting “activation unsuccessful” and my mobile number is stuck on “verifying”. Please help.

I recently bought a 15PM and i left my usb-b charging cord that came in the box at a friends house. My parents had androids for awhile and they have a bunch of usb-c cables. This may be a dumb question but could i do any harm using one of those? they are all usb-c but maybe one of you guys know something that i don’t.

I recently encountered an issue with my iPhone. 15 Pro wherein the screen totally went black and it does not turn back on despite pressing the screen. But I know the phone is on because when I press the action button whcih has been set beforehand to turn on the flashlight, the flashlight turns on. Plus Siri responds when I make a voice command.

I must note two things though, One, the Always On display has been set to on but even if it’s off, the screen should have responded when I press the side button or touched the screen. Second, the issue happened after leaving the phone charged for around 4 hours connected to a slow charger.

I did a force restart of my phone and so far, my phone’s display is working normally again. But I’m keeping an eye for possible reoccurrence of the issue. But I was wondering if anyone experienced similar issues.

It looks like the icon color is of lighter shade than the rest of the text. Is it how it always has been? The Lock Screen widget is from the default weather app. I am using an iPhone 15 Pro with 17.1.1.

Inspired by the recent ProRes SSD posts, I have a Samsung T7 that I’d like to attach to my phone. I could get magsafe stickers for it to stay put. I’m just curious if the magnet is okay and won’t damage the SSD? Thanks

The iPhone has an about 50% of the us market share in the US and growing every year and 87% of teenagers have an iPhone. Why is this?

For me I think it’s a few things.

1: If you don’t have one you are looked down on.

2: A lot of people in the US use the standard texting app and not a 3rd party thus the Green and Blue bubble “fight” happens here. People don’t like making groups chats with green bubble users as it messes up the chat thus it forces them to not be in the chat or switch phones.

3: The iPhone is like the “first” smartphone to become big in the US so people are already used to it and don’t want to change.

4: it’s easy to use and people in the US want simplicity.

5: This I don’t know if it’s true or not but Steve Job is like an icon in the US so everyone wants his stuff.

I’m I missing anything that makes the US love the iPhone or do you think I’m wrong here?

I put my phone on charge last night and when i woke up this morning it was only on 41% ive used it long enough today for it to be at least down to 30 ish but it’s stayed on 41. Also over the last week or so it’s been shutting off and turning back on again no matter what battery it is at. What could be wrong with it?

I had turned in my MBP for repair at my school's campus store and they claimed to have found water in it, and would cost $300 to repair the AppleCare+. I couldn't believe it so I denied the repair but they charged $50 to give me the Mac back. I had turned it in to an Apple store a previous time and also charged $300, but nothing to deny the repair. Another reason why I shouldn't go to 3rd party repair places?!

I have an iPhone 13 Pro with a Belkin UltraGlass. I love this screen protector and im looking for something of similar quality for the iPhone SE for my family who mostly use iPhone SEs. I seem to not be able to find any quality screen protectors even after the vast amount of the things ive bought. Any recommendations?

Hey all - we are going to take the plunge and get our daughter an iPhone for xmas. I am an android user and would rather not take the plunge and switch, but need to make sure we can properly monitor her screen time and take advantage of some of the parental controls.

So, my question is, can we set the screen time and parental controls on her iphone using my ipad? Or does it make sense for me to give up my android which I would rather not do. I have an iPad I use to set screen time and parental controls on both my daughters ipads, but wondering if the same functionality works between an iPad and an iPhone.

I believe you can, but I would really prefer to hear this from someone who has actually experienced it. I would rather not get my daughter a phone at all.. but.. she is probably the last of her friends to get one and I guess I can't ignore the inevitable any longer.

Bought a new Apple Watch Ultra 1 a few days back. It took 3 hours to go from 12 % to 100 %. Using the braided cable that came in the box and the Apple 20W charging brick. I thought it’s supposed to have fast charging. The Watch is on OS 10.1.1. I’m I doing something wrong? Anyone else having the same issue?

Does anybody tried to film a concert using iphone se3? How was the quality?

Bought a new iPhone 15 so have factory reset my old device through iCloud, and erased.

But the old phone still shows as ‘locked to owner’ and showing up on Find My as ‘erased’ but with no way to remove/delete.

Any ideas?

Hi I am using iPhone 13 after ios 17 update my camera is taking weird photos of objects with blue light

Case in point. I have all four Ghostbusters movies. All in 4K.

When I go to library and look at my 4K movies, the 3rd one doesn’t show. When I go to search for it, I find it and it is indeed a 4K copy.

Mind you that until latest build of tvOS my library didn’t show on my 3 most recent ATV4K models at all (but just fine on the first gen 4K and HD models).
