Hey hey so I'm on the 15 pm and the battery life isn't bad at all! But I do use my screen and scroll alot so it has died on me a few times, I'm really used to having the 5% warning on my last phone, is there a way to enable this on ios 17? I found a tutorial to do this on shortcuts but it's from ios 14, they layout looks completely different now and I'm not finding a way to do the same function...

A few days ago I matched with this person from a dating app and we exchanged phone numbers. After a few text exchanges I noticed my texts had stopped delivering. That was a bit odd, but I know she definitely hadn't blocked me because I was still able to see her "do not disturb" status at night. Earlier today I tried my shot at sending her another text and my past 2 undelivered messages finally went through. I guess she might have been in a place with bad cell reception. Now that they've delivered, I was wondering if she would be able to tell that I had tried sending them a few days ago? Like is it still time stamped "Monday at x time" or on her end will it seem like I sent them all at once? I'm overthinking this lol, I guess I'm just a little worried she'll be under the impression I was ignoring her for several days. Thanks

My work phone is an iPhone 12 mini. In the last month or so I've been losing contacts. I have done all the updates and followed instructions on how to recover them to no avail. When I logged into the iCloud to recover my contacts it told me that I have nothing to recover from. Am I screwed or is there something I can do?

Every picture I take I look grey and dead. Wtf. They need to fix this! The difference from What is shown on screen vs how the photo looks is insane. I have to edit every single photo now.

I live on the 3rd floor, so when I go back up at home, my HR easily goes up to 130 but my apple watch is not calculating my HR, neither my stairs climbed. Anyone has a quick fix?

I’m trying to record music. I am looking to use the Logic Pro software.

It is also to be used for my personal files and work but all my documents and whatnot are cloud based so they won’t have to sit on the computer itself.

Only Apple’s Logic Pro forum, it says the below is the minimum system requirements:

“6GB of available storage space for minimum installation or 72GB of storage space for full Sound Library installation”

I am using the Rode NTK microphone and the Apollo Solo. I don’t understand if I am doing a minimum installation or a full sound library installation?

Also, which mac would work the best for my use? The Pro or the Air? Why?

Last night my iPhone was destroyed beyond repair. I was given a new iPhone by Apple. My I cloud shows 24.9 gb of messages stores but they will not transfer onto my new iPhone. I am not sure how to do it and currently my old messages are not showing on my new iphone

Hi I have an iPhone 13 mini with 256 gb of storage I am using only half of it. This week whenever I use chrome or safari the pages freeze. The performance is very slow. I know the speed of the phone is downgraded over time when the new ones come out however my phone is about a year and a few months old and bad at least till next summer before it's paid off. This is the worst of the iPhones I've had.

Are there any specific things anyone can give me to speed up the performance? Or anything I can do to check if something is causing it? It says the battery is good but it seems to lose a charge pretty quick. I've done the basic things on the web but none of that has worked. I'd appreciate any recommendations and any out of the box ideas on things I should look for. Thank you!

If I recall correctly, in night mode the iPhone (14 & 15 pro) bing their quad pixel and result in a 12 megapixel photo. Is there a way to have/force a night mode, or just a picture at night, with the full 48 megapixels?

I understand that you require an iPhone to set up the watch, but after that point can't it be used by itself if it's cellular? I'm not really worried about any specific connection or features with the phone, I just want to know what I'll be limited to.

Also, after setup can the information that the watch records be seen on other Apple products that aren't phones for example an iPad or iMac?

I have parental controls and downtime turned on for my child, but occasionally it flakes out and I don’t get it.

For instance, their phone should go to downtime at 8pm tonight, but still allow them to communicate with me and their mom. But the phone is in downtime at 6pm, and they can’t contact us.

So I went into the settings to review and saw the downtime schedule I’ve created. It was correct. I power cycled their phone with no change. I went back into my settings and it showed no scheduled downtime.

Is this an iCloud issue? Is there something we should be doing differently? Are their non-Apple alternatives?

When I try to connect my Samsung TV with my iPhone XR I can find it on my phone, mirror my screen with AirPlay turn the TV on and even control the tvs volume, but when I try to use the Apple TV Remote app it gets stuck on “searching” and I can’t even access the drop down menu to select my TV. On a similar post here OP said he fixed it by adding his TV to HomeKit, but I can’t use that solution because as apple said, “Samsung AirPlay-compatible smart TVs don't support HomeKit and can't be added to the Home app”. Is there a way for me to use my phone as a controller in this TV? The model code is UN50au8000gxzd.

I have finally taken the decision to buy an iPhone. I have been an Android user all my life and I am well overdue an upgrade. I have some familiarity with iOS as I have an iPad.

Anyhow, I have just ordered a iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB which should arrive shortly from John Lewis, as it comes with a 2 year warranty. First of all, is this a good idea or should I return and buy it from an Apple store?

What accessories do you recommend I get? I want to protect this as much as possible as I have been used to throwing around my cheap (yet bulletproof) Honor phone over the years.

Case - which type/brand? Screen protector - which brand? Any tips on applying these successfully? Camera lens protector - which brand? Power Adapter - Apple 20W or a branded one? Any other accessories that would be useful?

I saw a listing on EBay that ends in a few hours for the discontinued chlorine blue Nike band and it got me wondering if I should jump on getting it while I can or if they’ll be easy to find at another time. Figured more experienced bandaholics would know! It’s a nice color.

I got my iPhone 12 Pro Max around two years ago in China, and now, battery health only has 77%. That made me go to the Genius Bar to replace my battery in Toronto on 14th November. I paid 134.47 Canadian Dallas for that.

After replacing the battery, I realized that the iPhone screen pumped up with a gap, which seemed unstuck. I tried to contact Apple support, and they told me it was a severe technical accident and I needed to make another appointment to fix it. I went to the Genius Bar today. On the 15th of November, the technical team leader grabbed my iPhone, and I waited for 2 hours; after that, he told me they had replaced the whole screen instead of fixing it. But the new issue with the screen encountered was when I pressed the bottom of the screen, and I could hear the click sound, which means the screen wasn't replaced properly.

Finally, the store manager and technical team leader tried to convince me of the reason for this issue coz my iPhone was manufactured in China, and the frame was different from North America. They can do nothing with that, and I don't need to go back again. This was the best condition they could perform.

Additionally, I asked about compensation for my time-wasting and travel expenses, and they gave me the same answer: they could do nothing about that.

So, does anyone have had this situation before, and is there anything I can do about this? Or just accept this bullshit. I appreciate it.

hi, im looking to buy an m1 pro or m1 max but can't find them anywhere online. Does anyone have any suggestions. i didn't find one m1 max on apple but it was topped out on specs and I can't afford that nor do i need that. thanks

I'm in the market for a new MacBook. I can get a M1 pro 16inch 16gh 552ssd for 2k euros. Refurbished is like 1700/1800 but not from Amazon.

I saw I can get a 15inch M2 air with same SSD and ram for the same price so I said I would get the pro M1 as it's better overall.

Today I saw I can get the M3 pro 16 inch same SSD and ram for 500 more than the M1 or the air.

I am thinking this is the better option for longevity.

3 years newer so three years more support plus it is future proofed more so than the M1 pro.

I have the M1 pro currently as my work laptop and love it so that's why I was going for the M1 pro at first.

Thoughts?
