Ever since the WatchOS 10.1 release, whenever I play podcasts using the Podcast app the battery drains extremely fast. The watch opens the Podcast app but it is in a state of trying to update the library. I have installed WatchOS 10.1.1 and restarted my watch several times. The battery is fine using other apps though. Anyone else having this issue?

New iPhone pro does not connect to car play. Seen multiple reports of people having the same problem with the new iPhone and the usb c wires. If a car only has a usb a port which wire or adapters work? Kinda frustrating that Apples attempt at going green and not including chargers and adapters for there new phone cost the consumers more money out of pocket to buy new wires anyway.

Hello, I’m new to owning a IPhone. I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that have a Christmas Countdown widget that I can add to the Smart Stack on my Home Screen? Or, if there is just a day countdown app that I can customize and use as a Christmas Countdown for my Smart Stack. Please and thank you.

so basically, i forgot my passcode and tried to put my phone into recovery mode. i was using itunes and started the process but first my phone had to update. after the update its been like this. i tried exiting recovery mode by clicking on the volume buttons then holding the side button and still nothing. now, i have remembered my passcode so it asked me to enter it then it started to attempt to recover data but it failed. what should i do? will all my information be lost or only some? idk someone help

My Photos library has become very large (750gb) and doesn’t fit on my Mac’s current HD, so I’ve started using iCloud to store everything. I’ve turned on “optimize Mac storage” and turned off “download originals”. This makes me nervous because now I don’t have any real backups and iCloud is only a syncing service.

I want to have a backup of my entire Photos library on an external HD (so I can use Time Machine), in a cloud service (probably Backblaze) and iCloud, but I am trying to figure out the best way to go about it.

I basically want to want to be able to:

1. Still use iCloud so that I have access to all my photos on all my devices and have them continually synced as I take new ones. I don’t want to have to be connected to an external drive on order to view my photos.

2. Have a local backup of all my photos that can be organized and contain all metadata that they come with normally. So that if I ever lose anything, I can get my photos back with all of their original data. Essentially, it would be great if I just had another Photos library, but locally.

So, here are my questions:

1. How to do this with all my original photos now in iCloud and none on my actual Mac HD?

2. Do I have to change the location of my system library? And if so, will I still be able to continue using iCloud and access my photos from my devices?

3. What happens when I take new photos with my iPhone? Will that library on the external drive also be updated? How does it get updated?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Basically transferring to new iPhone at the store was a disaster. Didn’t bring over messages and really messes up the apps. I figure it would be easier to set up my new iPhone again and restore from the latest back up on my old iPhone, but to do that I believe I need to “erase all content and settings”. Does this impact any carrier or service info, or is it basically just deleting what I brought over from the cloud ?

My dashcam took a dump and need to be recording while driving. Will be using my phone to record but since the roads are terrible out here and I drive a semi, videos are pretty shaky. I had the phone on a magnetic suction cup mount on windshield.

Any suggestions to make video less shaky? I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

My friend just sent me some images on iMessage, and Siri described them in the announcement through my AirPods. The descriptions weren't great, but they're definitely using some sort of image recognition. Has anyone else heard this? Was there any kind of announcement?

My Gmail, Gchat, and Facebook notifications have all turned to this privacy notification. No idea what changed, why this started, or how to fix. Any advice is appreciated!

So I’ve been using the sun dial as my watch face since I’ve had my Apple Watch. I love it and it’s been fun for my daughter to play around with. Since the latest update, I can no longer use the crown the see when the sunrise and sunset times will be without my other notifications swiping up. Is there a way to fix this?

I’ve spent 2 entire days on the phone/chat with att support troubleshooting Apple Watch SE.

It will not connect to cellular data and att gave up on me after trying 1000 different things and told me to take up with Apple. It’s their network though?

I have an appointment with Apple tomorrow but I fear they’re going to tell me to take up with ATT.

Anyone ever been stuck in a similar situation?

I just updated from iOS 16, and I can no longer move my 4x4 sized Widgets to the lower area of the screen. These larger widgets are now forced to stay up above. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Any attempts to move the widget below immediately snaps it back to the top.

My Apple Watch does not vibrate anymore when notifications come through. Not sure if it is dying or what. Checked the haptics settings and it seems to be set up correctly. Any ideas?

My work phone is an iPhone 12 mini. In the last month or so I've been losing contacts. I have done all the updates and followed instructions on how to recover them to no avail. When I logged into the iCloud to recover my contacts it told me that I have nothing to recover from. Am I screwed or is there something I can do?

I’ve never used one, but I’m looking to get one for my parents as a gift. Personally, I’d go fire stick because I’ve had few issues and it seems simple enough, but they don’t have Prime so it doesn’t make a lot of sense.

They are set up on iPhones (a bit of struggle) and an iPad. They have little/no experience with smart TVs; currently just antenna TV and a chromecast from their computer (also a difficult explanation).

Would an Apple TV be a soft learning curve for them? Any other suggestions?

I used to be able to control the volume of my Apple TV (using two HomePods for sound) with the volume up and down buttons on my iPhone. It suddenly stopped. Any ideas why?

I like the idea of getting shipping notifications, price update notifications, order updates, etc. in theory, but all of the notifications combined have gotten wayyy out of hand. It's crazy how many companies use push notifications as opportunities for marketing and pure harassment nowadays. I'm close to turning off notifications for everything except texts email and financial apps.

HOWEVER, I do feel like there may be a way to utilize the Lock Screen/Notification Center/Banner settings to be notified but still not be agitated by having 10/20+ notifications to clear every time I wake up. So I figured I'd come here and ask, what apps do you all allow notifications from? What settings do you use on apps that you'd like to stay up to date with, but aren't important enough to be on your screen when you have real life things to get done? I look forward to hearing from people have their lives together more than I do on this.
