Device: iPhone 15 Pro Max

Wondering if this is just for me (and for my peanut brain) to suck up & get on with my life/deal with; but, is anyone else’s Dynamic Island (DI) offset?

Not a flaw I imagine for most, I’ll just refrain from using it (the DI, not device, which is very reactive and crisp so far) and carry a timer in my pocket.

Hooroo, hope this doesn’t antagonise or ruin someone else’s day.

Charging is very slow (50% in 1H30) but it's okay because i charge it at work

I am in the process of getting a new apple watch and have stumbled upon two options: a second hand AW Ultra 1 for $879 (AUD) or a new Series 9 for $809. Is it worth it to spend the extra money on the Ultra or buy the Series 9? p.s my first apple watch was a se1.

Just out of curiosity, would an old SIM card cause my iPhone 13 Pro Max to crash randomly and restart on its own ? The reason why I’m wondering is because I’ve had it since having my iPhone 8 Plus. Also, all of my social apps won’t work on LTE or 5G and any old app that I have used and deleted have not resolved the problem.

I created a shortcut to enable alarms for specific scenes from the Shortcuts app.

This works fine on my iPhone, but the shortcut on my synced Apple Watch keeps asking me for an alarm.

Thought it's wise to ask on here before I get scammed... I'm in need of a new phone and seeing lots of posts on marketplace/craigslist with phones that are $500-600 cheaper than retail including tax. I have asked one seller to send me the serial number with the receipt and it checked out

But why would they sell for cheap? What's the catch here?

The SE 3 Starlight I got from the Straight Talk deal is gorgeous, but, damn, it’s so heavy for one-handed usage! Oddly enough, I get eyestrain, nausea, and headaches from prolonged use of it. I’ve never had this problem with my OGSE, and like the OGSE, it’s also an LCD display... This makes me wonder if I’m going to have the same problem with my 13 Mini once I decide to make it my daily driver, and I’m honestly dreading for that day to come. I really wish Apple would just re-release the OGSE with updated internals (this time with Haptic Touch) and call it good! And you know, just keep on re-releasing it every few years. sigh One can just wish…😞

I wish there was a way to map the action button to toggle the screen orientation lock.

Hi all! My s6 Apple Watch just broke. I have had two Apple Watch’s s6. The first one broke one year ago when I took swimming with it. Apple sent out a replacement and I tried swimming with it again now. (It broke and won’t turn on) . Question is it worth getting the Apple ultra watch 2? Been looking at it. The fact that it’s seems more water resistant than the normal ones makes it more appealing. Either that or I try and repair my s6 watches. Any help/ guidance would be appreciated!

If you go skiing, how do you record the workout? Just start at the beginning and stop at the end when you stop, or pause at the bottom of the hill and resume when you get off the lift?

Ok so right now at Woot they are selling the Apple Watch 6 brand new for $199.99 eligible for AppleCare. I got my 8 at a great discount from Target but for those who missed it this deal is phenomenal!

It’s a M1 Max 32gb 1tb for $2,100 + my M1 air 8gb 256gb. The M1 Max is in great condition. Apple verified the serial number. I just want to know if I should be hesitant for any reason? This M1 Max should get software support for 4-5 years more years right? Thanks.

Hello, I'm curious if others are noticing the same issue that I am. I have an album on my phone that has roughly 500 nature photos. I'm trying to get them to rotate/change each time the phone is locked/unlocked. What I notice is the same 20 photos out of 500 keep rotating but the rest do not. Is this a bug? I've tried recreating an album with the same photos and only 20 out of 500 will rotate. Any feedback is much appreciated.

I listen to podcasts when I’m in the car commuting, as I’m sure a lot of people do. I subscribe to podcasts I like and then play the ‘New Episodes’ list, which generally works ok. Or I create a playlist for ‘Pods this week’ and try to order them on that in a playlist of when I want to hear them.

However, sometimes there is a podcast I just don’t want to listen to - although I like all the streams in general, sometimes there is a topic that is just not interesting to me, or, as was the case this morning, was about all sorts of operations and blood and injuries and things, and being very squeamish, I found it unpleasant to listen to.

However, in all the apps I’ve tried you cannot skip an episode - they all just ping it on a few seconds. This is annoying if it’s an hour long pod and you realise 10 minutes in that it’s not for you, and you’re driving, so you can’t remove it from the list or anything. It’s happened a few times recently, and I’ve ended up just driving in silence, which is dull!

So, are there any apps I can use that will allow me to skip an entire episode? (I realise the lack of it is to do with listening to the adverts, but I’d be happy for ‘Skip’ to play some adverts as long as it skipped afterwards, if that is possible?)

i have apple watch 5 old charger and i got ultra 1 now.

I was thinking not even using new charger, i dont sleep with watches so i always charge overnight.

charging my ultra with old charger will always charge it in 7 hours no?

And maybe its even better for keeping battery healthy?

Can someone help me understand if i called a UK number then it rings 5x then it suddenly said “you reach voda phone mailbox etc” does it mean im blocked?

i noticed that the blurred background of my sleep focus home screen has a weird dark area in the upper right corner of the screen, where the dim is more intense than anywhere else on the screen. this does show up on screenshots, while other pictures and the screen without the sleep focus blur look perfectly fine. so i’m thinking this probably is not a hardware issue? you can hopefully see what i’m talking about in the picture. the green tint is from my usual phone background, little black area in the middle is black text.

to get it out of the way: i have recently had my screen replaced on my iphone 12 by a non-authorised third party repair shop. i cannot afford official apple repairs atm, so i went with a reputable repair guy in my area. it’s not an original apple screen. the screen is working perfectly in all regards except this one, so what i’m asking is if it’s possible this is actually a hardware issue with the screen, or if it’s some kind of software problem? do i contact the repair guy? is there any way to fix this?

Hey! I recently bought the iPhone 15pro and when I use the „focus“ in the camera App by tapping with my finger on the screen a „f“ appears in the corner. I can activate it, but I can’t find out what for. It looks like the sign for „camera aperture“ (I don’t know if this is the right word, it’s „Blende“ in German). What does it do? I didn’t find anything on the apple help pages.

So we know the default iPhone camera app does lots of post processing of the raw data from the sensor lens before capturing its photo. Then why does the “auto” button when viewing a photo back (edit -> auto) it the camera app doesn’t already do this computational photography to make the best photo (brightness / contrast adjustments and so forth)?
