T-Mobile has a deal on the apple watch se. Was curious if it has live tracking ability? So my daughter does a lot of races (she's in a wheelchair pushed by others). Both my wife and I have samsung phones. So not sure if the apple watch se has a feature where I can start a run and get live feedback on location to our phones or not? She doesn't have a phone so that's why I was looking at an LTE watch instead. Thank you for your help.

Weird bug that I haven’t found much about online - hoping someone here has faced the same and solved it?

I used WhatsApp’s transfer functionality to transfer my entire chat history from my old to new iPhone (15 Pro Max).

The transfer worked fine but since I transferred, I can’t see any messages sent or received after the transfer in my chats with people.

When someone texts me, I see the text in the main page with all the Chats, but when I open any chat it’s “frozen” at the point that the transfer completed.

When I text someone, I see the message as sent in the chat. But then when I return to the chat, it’s reset to the status as of the completion of the transfer.

Did anyone else have the same? Any way to fix it?

I have an Apple Watch while my friend has a Fitbit. If I don’t try for steps I usually get 3000-6000 a day just doing things around my house and taking care of my kids (I’m a sahm). She is also a sahm and we chat via messenger throughout the day so I believe our lives are fairly similar. She says her step count when not trying is 10000-12000. I find this kind of hard to believe and now I’m wondering if one of our devices are faulty?

I know they’re different brands but the difference seems large, especially since she tells me often she’s watching tv or doing something not active and still gets high numbers.

If I’m trying hard I can get those numbers, but it’s really if I’m exercising or at a theme park.

Sorry if this is a really stupid post, but she sometimes makes me feel lazy and I don’t think I am.

Been trying to log into wifi at work past few days and this keeps happening

My notifications used to have more detail, for example who the email was from. Now it just says you have a new message/new notification. Idk how to fix it please help.

I dropped my phone a couple hours ago and this was there it's gotten worse over the past hour. it is still functional ( I can still tap that area).

I tried pressing the power down and side button but it does not work.

I also tried exiting recovery mode via software, but it says failed to exit…

I think i need to do system repair but the app asks for money :/

HOW DO I FIX THIS?

(Does it just exit recovery mode after a while?)

1. Download music from Spotify so I can listen to it with blu tooth earbuds (without phone being present and no wifi connection)
2. Use a fitness app to track workout time, distance (without phone being present and no wifi connection)

I currently like jogging in parks and have to keep my phone on me. If I got the basic Watch could I leave my phone in the car while I do my jog?

I own an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I was wondering what were the best screen protectors, camera protectors and phone cases for this model. Price is not an issue.

I have seen good things about Mous regarding phone cases and Spigen, ESR & Torras regarding screen protectors but also their fair share of negative reviews for each so I'm hesitant. I did not see any reference regarding camera protectors though.

I know this question has probably been asked numerous times but I would like an up to date opinion and I really don't want to mess this one up.

Positioning your two arms at a credit card cash register to double click the buttons can be uncomfortable; doubke tap the finger gesture wokl be more convenient

So I have a series 4 that's actually still running reasonably well. Although the battery condition is at 74% now, I still get through most days. I've always charged overnight, so as long as I get a full day it's not too bad. It's about 4,5 years old by now and I've used it every day basically.

Admittedly I haven't been doing lots of workouts in the last months, so that'll definitely make a difference on battery consumption (yes I want to get back into it lol).

Now my question; will it be worth it to go for a battery replacement? I've read stories here that people just get upgraded to a new watch from a higher series. Does anyone have any idea how common that is? Apple charges around €100 for the replacement it seems.

An upgrade would be a very sweet deal, but if I just get a battery replacement I'm not sure if that's smart.

What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone own this device? I've loved my little mini phone I've had for the past several years, but am looking at utilizing AppleCare+ to get a replacement for it. I'm afraid that because it's an older model they won't have a replacement for me in the same color anymore.

I had a laptop that I was trying to sell on Facebook marketplace back in August and I ended up trading it for an iPhone 14 on September 1st.

• I did my due diligence as best I could. Checked blacklist status, checked iCloud lock, no SIM restrictions, and the device was nearly a year old - purchased in Oct 2022, so I knew that it wasn't coming from an account that was opened fraudulently. Everything came back clean. Worked fine on my T-Mobile account and the previous owner used on Verizon.
• Held onto the device until October 15th. No Blacklist, no SIM restrictions, everything cool...so I sold it. Person purchased locally for cash.
• Received a message yesterday from that buyer stating that the phone now no longer works and that someone reported it as stolen and it's blacklisted. I still had screen shots of the IMEI and sure enough it's now blacklisted.
• It's certainly possible that the buyer filed an insurance claim and is trying to scam me, but the more likely scenario is the person who traded it to me filed a claim and it took what..10 weeks?...for it to appear as blacklisted?
• Buyer is holding me accountable and says they filed a police report.

I feel for the buyer. It sucks. My feeling is that we both got scammed. I purchased the iPhone believing in good faith that it was not stolen, held onto it for 6 weeks to confirm, then sold in good faith that it was not stolen.

I'm open to suggestions, but I don't feel like holding the entire bag myself. I feel like the phone has value as a parts device. eBay comps put it at around $300 or so as it sits now. I'd be willing to share the cost so that we're both "out" equally, but the buyer has been pretty aggressive (and rightly so).

I would like Apple to take advantage of the upgrade (17.2) of the new Apple TV app, with the side menu, and add within the Library (where my purchased movies are) the option to make Playlist.

For example, I have my Terminator Collection but they are all separated and it looks horrible, in fact I can't even find them. I also have my Marvel Universe collection, but they are all separated, I would like to have the possibility of organizing them by date or chronologically, the idea is that I can organize my purchases.

With Christmas coming up I was planning on getting a refurbished apple watch for my SO. I was curious what any of you guys thought would be the best bang for buck choice, is there much advantage to getting a more recent model or do you think there are some features that just aren’t worth the extra cost? Alright, so here’s something strange. Can anyone help here?

I have the Apple MagSafe wireless charger and an Apple 20w usb-c brick and everything looks normal. Then I got the Anker 47W USB C Charger (Nano 3), 2 Port so that I can charge more of my devices together. Well, when I charge my iPhone with the Apple MagSafe wireless charger plugged into the Anker brick I get this weird looking charging history in my iPhone settings (picture attached, first charge session). It looks like it’s quickly charging and then not charging, charge, no charge, charge, no charge, etc…really fast, my iPhone, however only makes the charge sound when I first put it on the charger. And the battery icon says it’s plugged in the whole time. There is no indication of this behavior except for how the charge graph looks.

I have tried so many combinations of other cables and other devices charging along side my iPhone both plugged into the Anker brick and they all show the same charging history graph, which looks normal (picture attached, second charge session). No other device and no other cable for my iPhone pictures that weird looking graph. I also know that this is not optimized battery charging because that shows a pause icon on the graph and isn’t all broken up like this one is.

Do you think it is bad for my iPhone to be charging on this Anker brick with the Apple MagSafe wireless charger? Do I have a faulty Anker brick?

I love tech and have a lot of experience but this is just odd to me, the only thing that comes to mind is that 1, I have a faulty Anker brick or, 2, there is an incompatibility between this particular Anker brick and the Apple MagSafe wireless charger.

Hi guys,

the volume buttons (both) on my iPhone 11 have randomly started to act up, they basically don't work for volume anymore, but will work for a forced restart (volume up; volume down; side button). It's like volume control has been removed as the control feature when you press the buttons.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a possible solution?

So I had a S3 for 4 years just sold it and now looking to get a new watch. The ultra is too much $$ and don’t want the SE because I like the always on display. Do I get a S9 on Black Friday or is it gonna be worth the wait for the 10?

So I’ve been looking at the M series MacBooks alongisde of minimal gaming laptops for college, and every single time Apple releases a new chip, there seems to be some minor improvement in how well you can game on macOS. However, this year brought a sizeable GPU uplift from previous years with features such as ray-tracing.

Because of this (and that beautiful Space Black color), I’m here to ask: Is gaming on M series Macs actually becoming viable or getting to a point where in six months, we might see proper optimization?
