Any one else having an issue on ios17 when trying to manually sort a reminder? I have it set to manually sort but after moving everything around, it just jumps back to the original order (newest on bottom).

I bought a brand new iPhone 15 (my first ever ‘first hand’ phone!) and I have 15 days left to sign up for Apple Care.

In my country it’s $15NZD a month. My country also doesn’t have an Apple Store, so not sure how it works to get it repaired/replaced.

Although I’ve got a good quality case (Spigen) and a glass screen protector, I’ve dropped it a few times and the screen protector already has a few cracks.

Money is tight, and an extra $15NZD is not something I’d like to spend if I don’t have to.

I currently have an iPhone 11 I am thinking about replacing. Leaning towards 15 because I’m not a huge lightning cable fan but would have to buy all new stuff, was thinking about getting the Airpods pro anyway though. Planning on just buying it in full from Apple, have never done this before, what do they do for black friday?

I have an Apple TV 4K and my control sometimes keeps moving in the different direction I want like I am trying to move left and it moves right and vice versa. Does this happen to anyone else and does it have a fix or do I have to buy a new control?

So I keep randomly getting this message on my series 7 AW, I’m currently using a material band with no magnetic catch or anything, so a bit confused as to watch could be causing it?

aaronp613 here. I've been a moderator here for close to 5 years, but some of you might recognize my name from the Apple Event threads posted here over the past few years.

As of yesterday, I have joined MacRumors as a contributing researcher which leaves me in a bit of a pickle as to what I should do as far as my moderator status on this subreddit.

I'll admit, ever since the API changes and strike, I have not really moderated this subreddit (or really any subreddit) that much, but as mentioned above, I still handle the Apple Event megathreads each time as I love experiencing the Apple Events with all of you.

So now the question is, what do I do?

Obviously, I should not be handling any day to day moderation going forward as I beleive that every news blog that follows our guidelines should have an equal and fair chance of being posted on our forum without the appearance of any potential bias from the moderation team.

When I brought this up to some of the other r/apple moderators, 2 possible solutions we thought of were these:

Option 1: Only continue posting Apple event threads and moderate the comments on those threads (leaving the news posting to another moderator).

Option 2: Option 1 but I also continue to post news links during the event for each topic. Accusations of bias can be avoided as we always post whichever news blog posts first, so the timestamps would speak for themselves.

So I want to hear your thoughts on the matter, because at the end of the day we are a community.

I'd love to be able to have pace and the heart rate zone at the same face, without having to scroll faces while running to see different info.

Why can't we modify that?

I've been thinking about getting an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but have some doubts, first of, I see here on this subreddit a lot of people with problems with their new phones, so i'm a bit worried that mine is not gonna function well after I get it, specially because I live outside the USA and there are no Apple stores where I could claim the warranty.

Some more info, I want to get one when I travel to the USA next week for thanksgiving.

I had a iphone 8 for a long time decided to upgrade to an 11 and iv only had it for a year and its being super glitchy the screen had a bunch of black spots on it so i had it replaced and now it has them again and a keeps on acting like im pressing the screen when im not

Heading over at Christmas time and with them being cheaper over in America I thought it would make sense to get one to bring home to the UK. How easy / hard is it to set up the eSim stuff? Anything else to look out for?

I had an Apple replacement Apple Watch SE that I received due to a warranty issue. I’m assuming it’s a refurb.

A few days after receiving it, the strap unhooked at work and it fell to our concrete floor, cracking the face.

I took it off and never wore it since I didn’t want to get moisture into it.

Apple was going to charge just about the same price as a new one to fix it so I didn’t bother. They also offered $0 as a trade in.

It feels weird to have it just sitting around. Any ideas on what I should do? Maybe even repair and sell it, even if I take a little loss?

Hey! So I've had my MacBook Air 15'' for about 2 months now, and in the past week and a half I noticed the battery is draining way too fast, to the point where using safari for 3-4 hours would result in losing about 70-80% of the battery. I'm talking about light internet surfing without doing anything too drastic. Not many videos, not many pictures in websites etc.

I tried contacting Apple and they've said they can't find any problem (haven't been physically in a store yet, living very far from any).

Anyone's got any idea of why this happens?

Hi everyone,

I lately recognized that when I want to watch some HDR10 Dolby Vision content, I have this purple line on the side. Do you know what could be the problem? This problem hasn't been there before, and I tested streaming DoVi content directly on my TV (Philips Oled855/12) and there I don't have this problem.

Any Ideas what could be the problem or anyone with the same problem?

Anyone else have this happen to them? I choose a route and as im driving, Apple Maps will give alternate routes that take much longer.

When I first set it up everything was great, the remote controlled my tv and speakers without an issue. Then it randomly stopped. It wouldn’t control them for 3 months. Then a week ago it worked again but today it stopped. Any ideas on what’s going on and how I can make it always work?

Whats your opinion about transition to type-c?I mean, should people divide iphones like lighting and type-c era?In my opinion it's quite valuable

I own an iPhone XR which, whilst still works, is beginning to show its age. I'm looking at the cost of new iPhones as being quite expensive - at least £40 per month/36 months and I'm tempted to buy a cellular Apple Watch or Ultra 2 to try and prolong the life of my XR for a much smaller monthly cost of £18 (AW) - £23 (AWU)/48 months.

I was leaning towards the ultra as its battery life will hopefully fair better over the four years.

Does this sound like an insane plane or am I on to something in terms of cost savings?

For context, I rarely use my phone but occasionally need it for calls, texts and to act as a sat nav and play podcasts in the car.

Someone I know is selling one for £250, I would mainly be using it for browsing, downloading and some Football Manager with some other low requirement steam games. Is it Worth buying?
