Hello everyone, I have a small doubt. After updating to macOS Sonoma, on the lock screen, the MacBook is turning on the keyboard light and increasing the screen brightness by itself. After entering the password and going to the table, it returns to normal, is there a way to deactivate it? Or is it some bug? Is there anyone with this problem too?

In August, I submitted a security report via the ASR(Apple Security Research Project). The report involves a vulnerability exploitable by malicious actors, potentially granting unauthorized access to Apple ID accounts.

On Aug 31, the Apple security team validated my report, Asking me to keep conversations confidential. They confirmed the issue's resolution through a system change. Apple asked me to evaluate whether their fix worked and said it would give me credit and other potential rewards when I evaluated and confirmed the problem was resolved.

After I made the vulnerability assessment and confirmation, I heard nothing back. Until recently, I was informed that I was ineligible for credit or other recognition because Apple obtained the vulnerability from other sources.

When I pointed out their previous commitment and their specific policies, Apple modified our conversation record and webpage Fine Print, pretending It was me who hadn't read it carefully.

I turn on low power mode when I’m outside because I don’t use my phone that much. I was wondering is it okay to keep turning on low power mode? Plus, is it safe for my phone battery health?

Was doing some arts and crafts and hadn't noticed I still had superglue on my fingers. It's deep into the power button now so I don't think there's much saving it. Luckily it's not held down, the button is stuck open.

the only two things i can think of is the longer support and apple ecosystem.

otherwise androids just have far far more features than ios does.

Hello, I bought a base model 2022 13" Macbook Air in August 2023. It's been 3 months and there has been zero problem till now. But, today my laptop shut down at 20% and wouldn't start till connected to a power source. I charged it till 25% and unplugged it. I waited until it got to 20%, and it shut down again, and the exact same scenario happened. Can anyone help me with this?

I use AlDente regularly and use my laptop with an external monitor.

Only charged it up to 87% before I left for the day. Battery health is at 77%, took this screen shot at 12:52 AM EST so just a little bit over 12 hours.

Full work day so lots of notifications, texting and two short 2 min phone calls. My Series 4 is still a workhorse even at 77% capacity. In theory if I charged it to 100% before leaving I should have around 27%.

Those with WatchOS 10 battery issues should consider unpairing and re-pairing because it's likely a rogue app/bug causing it.

I’m looking for suggestions on a good quality case for the 15 Pro that has a lanyard attachment point. I’ve grown accustomed to using one and gives me a sense of security that I’m not going to drop the phone.

So, I threw my sandwich bag into a public bin and threw my phone in with it. Amazing.

The bin had a restricted lid and a little bit of garbage juice in it. Also amazing. My day is going great.

I got it out and there is no external damage but I’m certain a bit of water (garbage juice) got in the charging port.

It’s an iPhone 13. It’s running as normal. Once I’m home and I’ve placed it in molten lava for disinfecting how should I get the water from the charging port?

Napkin and a toothpick? Rice? Hair dryer?

I have had my fair share of Apple products, and I always find some kind of cosmetic imperfection. For example:

my 16” 2019 MacBook Pro has a small chip in the corner.
my iPhone 13 Pro Max had a hairline scratch on the mute switch.

my 2021 iPad Pro has scratches on the Apple logo.

my iPhone 15 pro max has a small chip on the ring surrounding the ultrawide camera.

even though they are pretty small, and I haven’t returned any of them for such a small thing, it still bothers me that when I pay so much for products advertised as premium i still can’t expect to receive a cometically perfect product.

do I just have bad luck or is it really too much to expect an Apple product to leave the factory without cosmetic imperfections?

I (30f) recently got an Apple Watch and I got an alert saying my VO2 is very poor, at 17. I’m out of shape but working on it and I’m not overweight at all. I am anemic and my heart rate runs high because I have pretty bad anxiety. This stupid alert is not helping

There is no way no one is hearing this rattling/crackling sound on the 15 lineup when above a certain volume level on some sound frequencies. Just went to an Apple Store and all iPhone 15s had it. The pro/pro max and regular/plus ones. I have it on my 15PM. Check this video for a comparison to an iPhone 14. It’s definitely a widespread issue, I guess, since more than 10 devices at the store had the exact same problem.

I'm looking for a new streaming device (I have been waisting away using an xfinity box for way too long).

With the 2nd gen being so close in price I feel like the 3rd gen is the way to go. And it seems like the 128gb is the best option with the addition of the ethernet connection + it only being 20 more dollars at the end of the day for twice the storage.

It seems like there aren't too many screaming deals coming up at stores other then for the older HD models (I know I missed out on the Walmart/costco/etc the last few months with the 100 offers for the new/older 4k 😔✊) But on apples site it's going for 130 referbished which isint so bad and obviously the best spot to get it used. Also the 50$ gift card option for buying it new on Black Friday.

which of those options would you say would be my best bet - Im not sure when I'll be purchasing another apple product (in relation to the gift card) but I have a Mac for my audio/video production work and am thinking of switching to the iPhone with the 15 coming out (USB C finally 🥲). So I'm well on my way to the cult of apple ecosystem immersion lmao.

Or has anyone heard of a better deal coming along or currently running? Should I just wait it out a little longer? Etc.
