This morning my iphone 11 was dinging, the battery icon was flashing between black and green and there was a green line around top right of screen. It has stopped now and the battery icon is black. Any idea what this means?

Hi! I'm going to change my phone, I only had an iPhone 6s before (the one I'm now using is not from Apple). I want to buy an IPhone but used, since I don't have enough money for brand new ones. Wich one should I buy? SE 2020 or 2022? My partner says even the minis or the 12 could be good form me. I don't need many things, nice photos, a couple of apps and that's it!

i’ve recently switched from the 11 to 14 pro max and i fucking hate it. i really tried different settings for the camera and i tried to get used to it but i just cant. on my iphone 11 i used to take photos on instagram daily and even send pictures to my friends when texting and everything looked nice and natural. now i just cant even take a photo at all, this camera is just so awful because it either makes photos or videos so blurry and overprocessed or shows every fucking pore on my face with this ugly smoothing filter. it just looks so so bad. if i could i would buy the 11 again but with bigger storage but apple doesnt even sell them anymore. so my question is - should i sell the 14 pro max? i should be happy to have such a new and advanced phone but i just cant the photos are absolutely awful. even after comparing the photos they look amazing on my 11. i suppose technology is moving forward and they are trying to advance their phones but this is just unacceptable for me. idk what to do and im so dissapointed.

Hi everyone

I’ve been having problems with my imessage. I’m trying to message someone and it keeps on staying green. It just recently started. All of the settings are right and in place, so idk what to do anymore. Is it maybe because we’re in different countries? Or something like that? I’ve followed all of googles advice and it still stays the same.

Went to bed around 03:00, and unplugged my phone from the charger, turn off wifi and bluetooth, and enabled flight mode. (something I am used to doing to preserve battery).

When I wake up the phone won’t turn on, and I am met with the red battery icon, not what I expected when I last saw it at around 95%.

Luckily I didn’t have any alarms or plans this day. I don’t have any other physical alarms because I have alway been able to trust my phone…

What could be the cause of this? Could the torch have been on without me noticing? Could the camera have been on? Could it be a that I only unplugged the charger from the wall, but not the phone, and the charger has a slight damage that has caused the discharge?

Battery capacity is at 99%, phone is about 11months old. Never had any real issues with my phone’s battery.

I've spent a while trying to sign up on a PC redeeming a code.

Using the apps.apple.com website doesn't work unless you're on Mac OS.

Trying to sign up through the Apple tv website returns "an error has occurred" with no other information. If I try to sign up using the code, it allows me to click a button to redeem it and then I get an endless loading wheel on the next page. I've tried it on Chrome and Firefox (normal and private browsing) with the same outcome.

I gave up and tried signing up through an ipad, but that just doesn't let me log in using my Apple ID account as it can't verify my identity.

If I try and sign in to my Apple ID account then I can get to the privacy policy page before the "continue" button doesn't work and I can't progress any further.

What am I missing? Why is it so difficult to just sign up to a streaming service? Every other one has been incredibly straightforward and it has just worked.

I am considering switching to an iPhone but I need a clarify a very specific point. On my old Android phone the icon badges display an unread count. On the new Android phones the OS has changed and the badges are now a notification count. The difference is that the notification count clears when you open the messages app and not when you read the individual message. This means you can now have unread messages on your phone but no reminder to deal with them.

How do the badges work on the iPhone? If I go into messages and leave 2 unread will the number 2 be left on the app icon to remind me or will it vanish like on the latest Android? Thanks.

I bought my first Apple Watch Series 9 45mm Starlight with Winter Blue Loop from Japan.

Previously I never use Apple Watch and in one week my health activity is increased, not a lot but keep improving. What I like is the screen so bright in sunny day, really impressed with the screen quality. Aaaaaaand Double Tap, I wish Apple expand more functionality, but I really like it a lot.

Because it’s my first Apple Watch, what in the blue hell this watch cant showing Whatsapp call??? That’s only what I dont like despite the battery perfomance I already used to it.

I have a typo in my mailing address as stored in my account as "home," but I can't figure out where to edit it.

When I tap on my address as listed in my personal contact, it goes to Maps. In Maps, the address is correct, but in my contact, it is wrong.

I thought it might be getting the info from my credit card on file, but it is correct in the card info.

I can't find anything when I go to the ICloud website either. There appears to be no place where I can edit it.

It's not a huge deal, but it appears in autofills. I have to correct it every time. but sometimes it isn't correctible and it messes up whatever I'm doing. I'd like to just fix it so I don't have to think about it. Appreciate any thoughts here.

Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with buying a refurbished iPhone off Amazon or Ebay, was initially going to buy from Amazon store but checking Ebay I see theirs top sellers selling for much cheaper than Amazon store, for those who have purchased an iPhone or apple products off either market place, was it worth it or not ?

I’ve had appletv since the 1st generation and as a result have never owned a smart tv. I currently have the HD appletv and was planning to upgrade to a 4K when I got a new tv. Current tv is 10+ years old lcd technology thst likely can’t tell the difference.

Unfortunately my tv broke before I had done my research and figured out what tv I wanted. I want a 55inch, don’t care about the OS since I will be using apple and I’ve got it in a low light room with good viewing angles. This was an unexpected expense - I thought I had one to two more years before upgrading. So I’m trying to upgrade to a Budget tv that will still feel like a step up.

I tried to ask in some tv Reddit’s but they all seem geared to high end TVs only. I’ve had great advice in here before so if anyone is tech savvy and/or willing to help someone really clueless I would be grateful!

I’m using my tiny MacBook trying to wait for Black Friday sales to stretch my budget a bit.

I’m in Canada and so our sales aren’t as good. Was looking at the TCL 6 series or the Hisense U7 unless the current year models go on deeper discount. Early Black Friday deals have the Hisense U78 at $747.

The TCL has the Q6 on sale for $498 and the Q7 is $698. I really don’t know if the difference in models is worth another $200 dollars.

If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. I almost want to get the Q6 and use the $200 to upgrade to the appletv 4k lol. I feel like coming from a 10 year old tv any of these models will feel like a huge upgrade. But I’m not good with tech at all and I’m quite sick and stuck at home so I can’t go look at them and have to buy online.

I'm on latest updates on both the Watch and iPhone.
Since 3 days it has not been syncing anymore. I've done 3 workouts and loads of walking but all the rings and entire fitness page app stays empty on the last 3 days.

In my Health App's Activity "Data Sources" there are 5 Apple Watches somehow, cannot delete any of them, just rearranging.
Tried also to reset sync settings, nothing helps. Really annoying since sports and activities is my main use for the watch. Any tips would be great!

I am in need of help to pick a good case for my brand new IPhone 12.

I have a 3rd party hard clear case but it is honestly pretty grungy. It shows ALL my fingerprints and big ass particles of filth too easily make their way into the back of it through the gap where the camera is.

I would like it to support magsafe just in case I pick up any magsafe accesories. I was honestly eyeying the UAG Anchor Aubergine, but it is much harder to judge a case from a photo on a website than in real life. So I come to you. Im down to pay upwards of 50 bucks even 70 bucks if it's very good.

The bottom of my iphone 12 pro dropped into my cereal so touched a little bit of soy milk. I quickly removed the case and wiped down the bottom. I then turned it off and (attempted) to dry it with a hairdryer and its been in rice for an hour.

Since iphone 12 is meant to be resistant to water (to some extent obviously), would it likely still be fine if its in contact with a bit of milk?

Hi everyone! I’ve been curious recently about the possibility to connect an ssd to my iPhone. However, i’ve found out that it’s impossible to do directly. In order to do it, I have to buy a dongle to provide more power supply.

I’ve watched a plenty of YouTube videos regarding this issue and someone said that it will be possible to connect directly on the latest iOS version, probably 17.1.

Could you please assist and clarify if it is true or there is no other way of direct connection (i.e. lightning to usb-c), except of having type C port on iPhone 15 Pro and iPads Pro?
