Thinking of getting a watch as a gift. Should I wait for cyber Monday ? Have y'all find the best deal for series 9 watch ?

I was only able to find this talked about once and the solution isn’t viable for me. I have a computer, but it’ll be in storage for the foreseeable future. What are my options for temporary storage? I plan on upgrading phones next month and want a place to dump a bunch of pics and vids. Thanks in advance, I’m finding as time goes on I’m getting less and less tech savvy.

Hello! So, my girlfriend bought her iPhone one year ago and it never took any damage so far. Recently it started heating up at random moments when she’s using it and when she’s charging it and when this happens, the screen goes black. You can still turn on the screen but it quickly goes black again. The volume buttons are responsive as, even with no image on screen, when pushed to the max or min volume, the phone gives a vibration. So, have anyone come across this problem and has any solution for it? So far tried updating to the latest iOS, restoring to factory settings and removing the screen protector. Thank you

Any good app to edit Raw. Would love it to be free but any app suggestions would be appreciated. Would go with Snapseed but I get stuck on the loading photo wheel. I have to redownload it every time I want to edit a raw photo. So Snapseed doesn’t work.

At 600 cycles my battery was at 81% capacity. At 800 cycles my battery is at 81% capacity. How is this possible?

I moved to a new city almost a year ago now. Within the first month of us moving in we received a package with a iPhone and Apple Watch we didn’t order. I opened the box at first because we were receiving a bunch of packages and didn’t think to look for a name on it. When we opened it we realized it wasn’t ours and put it with all the other random mail that isn’t ours to bring to our property manager. Needless to say it got put on a shelf and forgotten about in the chaos of moving in. Now what do I do? It’s been almost a year, can I just turn it in? Do I have a new phone? Or am I a accidental criminal?

I’ve had this phone since launch and just realized I’ve never even gotten close to losing all the battery in a day. I charge overnight and usually have quite a bit left over by the time I go to sleep the next day. I thought my S10+ had good battery but this thing is on another level. Left it off the charger last night and have been on it a lot today since I’m off work. Just got done playing Royal Match for almost 3 hours lol. Anyway, mostly Safari, TikTok, and that game I mentioned. No power saving features enabled except for when low battery mode came on automatically at 20%. I’m at 11 hours of screen time and have 15% battery left. This is crazy I’ve never had a phone come anywhere near this.

My family of 4 iPhone users has been using one single AppleID for years. I basically had no clue that each person was meant to have a separate AppleID account. I just figured that my kids were too young to need their own accounts and I'm the one with the credit card. But my daughter just got a new iPhone, and suddenly texts to my daughter's AT&T number are going to my wife's phone instead. Voice calls still go through correctly.

I guess I just need to set each member of my family up with their own AppleID accounts, correct? If so, my question is this: How do I do that with everyone retaining all of their apps and photos and whatever it is that iCloud does, etc... What is the procedure? I literally have zero inkling of where to start this process. And, what are the potential pitfalls? Has anyone else dealt with this situation?

Tried signing in with my previous account that I had, subscribed to Apple TV and had that going for a few months back but eventually cancelled the subscription. Now I'm trying to sign back in and I it won't let me. Says the ID is not active so I go onto the site and it says the same thing, I try signing up with that very same email and it says "email is not available" meaning it's being used for another account...my account. I'm at a loss for words, what do I even do? Make or break honestly, I'm honestly just trying to sign back in for those 3 free months from Playstation

I made a benchmark on my new iPhone 15 pro and after the result it overheated to a bit higher temperature and stayed like that for a bit. Also I’m not sure but I think it smelled weird. Could I have done any damage to it? because the phone is brand new and I didn’t want to do anything to it. Thanks for any info.

There is surprisingly little documented information about this on the interwebs, but I'm trying to build a photo album website that allows easy uploads on a phone, directly from the iPhone photo library.

Despite a very clear "Options" section during upload that allows "Caption" and "Location" to be included in the upload, and a very clear "Location is included" message at the bottom of the screen, any attempt at uploading a Full Size image from the library results in the GPS data being stripped before upload.

I know that many people believe that this is a "security" feature that ensures your privacy, but if Apple is going to give us EXPLICIT control over whether or not the Location data is send, it should respect our decisions, right?

The data is ALWAYS stripped when "Full Size" is selected, regardless of the Camera setting for "High Efficiency" or "Most Compatible," and regardless of the "Auto/Current/Most Compatible" setting during the upload process. And yet it always says "Location is included" on the selection screen.

Selecting "Large" instead of "Full Size" properly respects the setting, and sends Location data, but then of course you're dealing with a much smaller image, not suitable for full-width display in a desktop browser.

Can anyone point me to either documentation at Apple that justifies this behavior, or some workaround? Is this not just an outright bug on Apple's part?

I don't need it to charge. I just want both an iPhone 11 and 15 Pro to stick to it. The highly rated iOttie ones all seem to be either compatible with iPhone 11 and earlier OR iPhone 12 and later.

I went to the theatre, and at the beginning they reminded us to silence our phones. Theatre Focus Until I Leave This Location should be just what I need, right?

Wrong! My twice-a-week evening “water the plants” evening alarm sounded loudly in the middle of the performance! What the hell is the point of theatre mode if it’s not appropriate to use in a theatre???

More broadly, it appears that nothing actually masks alarms. Do Not Disturb also lets them through, as does the “Silent Mode” switch on the side showing the red background.

Is there any way to actually get a silent phone including all alarms, not just notifications?

Please help. A friend of mine I’m pretty sure is having a psychotic break, and believes this is happening to her. In addition to what I mentioned in the title, she believes this guy can see all of her texts, her notes app, even have access to her phone’s camera likely at all times, and definitely when she’s using it. Also, that he can hear everything that is said near the phone regardless of it being in use or not. I urged her to see a psychiatrist, but she refused. So we struck a deal. She would see a psychiatrist, if I did everything I could to find out if this can actually be happening to her. Google mostly gave me ads, so I’m turning to Reddit for help. I specifically would like to know if:

1. Is any of the above even possible? If so, what program specifically?
2. Is there a way to detect if her phone has been tracked in any capacity?
3. Would she have any recourse if this is real? ANY advice, guidance, or links are greatly appreciated.

My dad is probably gonna toss it into the county's electronics recycling unless I take it.

It is pretty old and feeble and maybe can't do anything anymore. I am aware of the craziness I would do to log in to my 2-factor AppleID with it. If I nab it from him, what content could I play on it? I have a spare old tv that would be a good match for it.

Iphone 15 plus camera video zoom bug

I am running iOS 17.1.1 on an iPhone 13. I find that when I start a new iMessage conversation selecting a contact's mobile number the number is shown at the top and in the list of conversations instead of their name. If I kill iMessage and reopen it then the name is shown as it should be. Anyone else experience this? Is there a fix? I think the same thing happens if I get a new message from a contact that I don't yet have a conversation going with them. Thanks.

I'm using m2 macbook air. I suddenly got caught in the rain. And,a little water leaked into my backpack. It only soaked the magsafe3 and usb ports.Because the laptop is vertically positioned.Now the USB ports and charging port are working fine and there is no problem on the screen, do I need to do anything?

I didn’t use it since I got the Ultra2 (1 month) and now that I try to turn it on it doesn’t respond.

U guys idk what the deal with my default alarm tone is ..

I was too under the impression that once I choose a different alarm sound on an alarm .. my alarm tone gets reset permanently to that tone that “I” set it to ..

But u guys every single time I set an alarm my tone is repeatedly just getting set to the iPhones original alarm tone “radar” which is as intolerable as a crime ..

And it is frustrating me why my alarm ring tone will just not get set to the whatever tone “I” want to set it to permanently already ..

I broke it I need help ASAP
