I was surprised to see this extreme usage of Find My data. It must have happened in the last few days. The reporting period was roughly 60 days. When I reset it Find My used another 16 MB in 30 minutes without WiFi. That seems to be a lot.

Only change was to add a single shared AirTag. And that does not even update reliably.

I use the Apple TV app on my Chromecast w remote devices on all my TVs. These 3 darn shows from 10-15 years ago keep showing up. Pretty sure they were freebie downloads from the iPod video days. When I click into them just a blank, grey screen. How can I make them go away? Can’t find or see them in iTunes. Can’t see them on my iPhone or iPad apps. Thanks!

Hey guys. I just upgraded my iPhone X (i still own it) to a 14 Pro. All the learning my old phone did for predictive texts did not transfer, and my new phone doesn't seem to be learning the same lessons. For example, when i'm typing to Siri and I start with the word "Set", "alarm" should be a suggested word, but it is never is, regardless of the fact that I do it 5-10 times per day. If I say "Set alarm 5 hours and 15 minutes" the next word should be "for" to allow me to name what the alarm is for, but again... it never suggests it, regardless of how how often i'm typing it.

My old phone was so good at it that it would suggest 2 words at once, and be correct. Is there any way to transfer the learned predictive text from my old phone to the new?

Has anyone had Siri not work on the AWU while connected to cellular and without your phone? Today on a run I tried both holding the Digital Crown, and saying “Hey Siri” to summon Siri. The Siri screen would come up, and even when saying “Hey Siri” Siri would say “Uh huh”, but then the screen would go away and I couldn’t give Siri a command.

I reached out to Apple Support who was not helpful and their only suggestion was to take it in for service.

I plan to use RTT/TTY as a plot device in a story, but I’m struggling to find what year it first came out. Anybody know the answer, or how to find it? Google isn’t helping.

I had my new iPhone 15 stolen today and the location is no longer available. I have “Share my Location” ON with my family but for some reason Find my iPhone is off despite turning it on weeks ago. The last location seen was this morning and it won’t load a new one, indicating something has been shut off.

Howevwr, I’m wondering about the status of those shut offs. The phone still rings all the way through to voicemail, meaning it is still on and not in airplane mode (correct?). However, sending blue iMessages leaves a blank space under the messages without a “delivered” or “not delivered” status. Green SMS seems to be fine.

Also I have no other Apple devices in use or WiFi calling enabled.

Has the thief turned off cellular and wifi then to be causing this? I have notified the police but how trackable is this thing?

I had a 2015 MacBook Air that became rendered useless this past week when I realized I could no longer access key websites because my browser was outdated, and despite trying to get support from apple and try some "hacks" to upgrade the OS, I couldn't figure it out (was still running Sierra 10.12). I'm not all that upset about getting a new one as I had that last one for 7 years, and I'm really not too techy, so I don't have the time/patience to deal with trying to fix it.

Anyhow, I bought the 2022 MacBook Air M2 from Costco today. Got it set up and charged up to 75%. I saw on YT that it's recommended to DL the "Battery health" app, so I did. It says my battery health is only 2%. It seems to be performing just fine so far and holding a charge well, but just wondering if I need to be worried about this supposed "battery health" or not.

Hear me out Europeans, Latin Americans: WhatsApp is good, however, you’re at the mercy of Facebook, and Facebook already said that it’s bringing ads to it. RCS brings modern messaging features agnostic to apps of platforms. Apple, GSM, and Google will work together to improve the universal standard and add e2e encryption, and potentially more features. So it’s a win for mobile communications as a whole. Yeah, a bigger deal in the US, but significant abroad nonetheless.
